   I dined at GW Fins over 10 years ago and revisited last night. Service and food still impeccable! Would definitely recommend to anyone coming to NOLA. Our servers, Jason and Aaron were on point!! Couldn’t ask for better service! My mum who has many food allergies (gluten, soy, farm-raised) and is a super fussy eater cleared her plate. She had the bbq shrimp for an appetizer, scalibut as her entree and the crème brûlée for dessert. Every meal ended with “that was delicious!” I had the pork belly, gulf shrimp and the chocolate bomb! Amazing! Won’t wait another decade + to come back and will always come back to GW Fins!

   Very disappointing. Brought dinner before appetizer. Then brought is rushed salad which was barely edible. Don’t understand why ratings are so high. Perhaps it used to be better.

   Food was extremely delicious. Portions were on the small side. Very expensive. Our waitress and service staff were second to none. Quite loud in one of the side rooms. Overall it was a very nice dinner and I would recommend it to others.

   Seriously the best restaurant I have ever been to. Everything from the service to the quality of food and the atmosphere was amazing. Best meal of my life! I loved our server too. He was so nice and informative. All the staff were so helpful. I can’t think of one single bad thing about our experience. Thanks for making our anniversary dinner so enjoyable!

   The aged tuna ribeye was fork tender, juicy, and delicious. We sat at a high top in the bar area. Christian our waiter provided excellent service. The aged fish selections are innovative and the restaurant deserves a Michelin star in my opinion.

    I made a reservation for my fiancés birthday. The staff were amazing! They addressed him by name and all wished him a happy birthday. The food was amazing and our server was knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations. It was a wonderful experience and I was so happy to see my fiancé treated with such care and kindness!

    GW Fins is an extraordinary and spectacular world class restaurant! I extremely appreciate their accommodation of our in advance requests for a particular seating arrangement. The whole experience was outstanding from the moment we walked in until we left. Cardel service was perfect…he was knowledgable, friendly, courteous and totally professional. His wine recommendation was right on point. We ordered the lobster dumplings, the tempura Fin wings, yellowfin tuna tartare and all were delicious. The Scalibut was spectacular…a perfect balanced dish. We finished with the chocolate bomb. We would definitely go back and recommend it to everyone else. Thanks again! Manuel

    We had a great experience here. The food was delicious. Our server Rod was attentive and friendly. There was always someone stopping by to make sure our water glasses were filled and biscuits were on our bread plates. We highly recommend it.

    We ordered the Lobster Dumplings and Ceviche as appetizers. Both we excellent but a special nod to the Lobster Dumplings. The GW Scalibut with red shrimp risotto is outstanding.

    This was my favorite dinner by far visiting New Orleans. My group & I loved it so much. Not only was the food incredible and worth the hype but the service was OUTSTANDING. Every single person that we came across & who touched the table was so kind and genuine. From the host, the server, the assistant server, the manager, the food runners. Everyone. We couldn’t stop talking about how great the staff was. I was celebrating my birthday and they made it very special & memorable. If you’re thinking about going, don’t even hesitate.     Out of all the fine dining we did in the French Quarter on our week long vacation, GW Fins was by far our best experience! The food, the service and ambiance were all 5 stars. A special shout out goes to the "bread fairy", we love you man, whoever you are!

    Not as good as it used to be. We've been dining there the past 20 years. Never seen service on such a steady decline,& for around $100 a person,it should be spot on. Had to ask for biscuits,never got butter,had to ask for water refill. Servers were very nice,but that doesn't make up for lacking basics.

    Our waiter Grayson was excellent. He was knowledgeable of the menu and gave us great recommendations. You must try the Tempura Fin Wings and the Salty Malty Ice Cream Pie is to die for. The service was top notch and Grayson made sure we had the best experience. This was the best restaurant we dined at during our New Orleans stay.

    Dinner was fantastic as usual! Eating here is a must for us when in Nola…heck it’s why I go to the French Qtr. We had the lobster dumplings which is just about my favorite bite ever!!! Next we shared the swordfish meal which includes the best fried shrimp I have ever tasted! Finally desert the salted caramel pie is out of this world. As always the service is excellent!

    Our first time to visit from a recommendation from a friend. We had the BBQ Shrimp and Tuna Tartare for appetizer. There were three of us dining so we each had salads got one of each! Entree we had the Scalibut which was fantastic, Spearfished Barracuda and Parmesan Crusted Spadefish. All three dishes were excellent and highly recommend! The Cajun Old Fashion was delicious also!!

    Happy to visit this restaurant while in NOLA great food in flavor and presentation the reception team was lovely and our server too. The other servers kinda absents. I booked for my birthday but never got the candle with the dessert even asking twice. Not a big deal, we will come back for the food !

    This was our first time to GW Fins and we were extremely happy with the result. Service (water, bread) was excellent without being obtrusive, the wine list was deep enough for almost any price point, with many excellent choices to accompany seafood or meat dishes. The appetizer lobster dumplings were outstanding, not too rich at all despite being full of lobster meat. Our seafood entrees including their "Scalibut" combination of compressed scallops and halibut, were perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. It was really also a pretty good value and our favorite meal of 5 nights out in New Orleans. Would put this on your list for sure.
