   Our server was friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. I got a salad with grilled shrimp added but it would’ve been better with a few more shrimp

   Theodore gave great suggestion for Redfih. Outstanding. However, bar and kitchen were a little slow especially with drinks. Food was great. Will go back.

   The burger was dry, the pastalaya had only 3 shrimp and no noticeable sausage, the redfish was lovely, the desserts were delicious. Highly recommend the "adult milkshake"

    We were disappointed in our Bourbon House experience We were at the end of a 10 day trip down the Mississippi River on a river boat and spending the weekend in NOLA. We looked at this venue based on its location on Bourbon Street and it was recommended by our Tour company. Our server was non attentive but nice our table was in the middle of an aisle and not very romantic location. Also we waited for our drinks for 30 minutes and the Manhattan came with no Bourbon… they did correct the mistake but ??

    The hostess was not helpful, she seemed put out that 2 other tables were seated right before us, and somehow our 7pm reservation didn’t fit into her seating rotation. Our server was very nice but seemed like her 1st day with no duly. Food and drinks took a very long time to come out, and was not correct the first time. Would not recommend.

    Bourbon House is a very popular place with a great location on Bourbon Street. I’ve eaten here several times over the years on visits to New Orleans and on this visit I was disappointed. Overall things were fine but not great. Staff are very friendly and working hard but service was a little unprofessional especially for an upscale restaurant. Food was average but not as good as I remember. Everyone in the restaurant seemed to having a good time and food was ok so not a bad option for dinner

    Pleasant and professional waiter took care of us and suggested the scollop appetizer, which was delicious. Also had the red snapper, which was also excellent. The bread pudding was spectacular. We will return.

    Food was pretty good. The problem was that service was HORRIBLE. We ordered cocktails and it took almost an hour to get them. In fact, they were served as were were getting ready to leave. I had to ask for water multiple times then got up and get it myself. Tourist trap

    We dined at The Bourbon House on a Monday evening. Wait staff that evening was not the best. As we were placing orders the waitress neglected to ask one of our group for their order. We ordered appetizers and entrees. We were hoping to have a relaxing dinner and felt rushed when we barely started to eat our appetizers when the entrees were brought out, resulting in the table being crammed with dishes. Oysters were served without a seafood fork. Food was good but the overall dining experience was not the best.

    We enjoyed the drinks and the appetizers of boudin balls. The Red Fish was excellent and my wife enjoyed it very much. The charbroiled oysters on the other hand were served Luke warm. I asked how they are prepared. They are not charbroiled but put in the shell and then heated with an infrared broiler. Very disappointing. The desert brownie was excellent and so was our server. Get your charbroiled oysters somewhere they actually put them on a grill.

    Ordered an expensive cocktail. It was watered down and mostly ice. I got to the bottom and found 2 small flies. They took it off my bill, but still! I expected better.

    Food was good, server was eh. Not nice at all and kind of confrontational. Never have I been blamed for a wrong order being taken/ delivered to the table and the server not try to make it right. Something as simple as a dinner salad. Real easy fix IMO, but nope. Server said she was a "veteran" server and she doesn't make mistakes. No one was blaming her but would have liked it fixed. Nah. Oh well... Never again!

    We had a great meal at Bourbon House to celebrate our anniversary. We were the first seated for the day in a mostly empty restaurant. Unfortunately a rowdy table was seated directly next to us despite most of the restaurant being empty and they were quite crude and taking up a lot of space with chairs pulled from other tables etc. I understand the restaurant cannot control other people’s behavior though so I won’t deduct from the overall rating. Otherwise the food was wonderful. My favorite was the crab and corn soup.
