My girlfriend and I got the degustazione with the wine pairing for a special occasion and it was phenomenal! The service was impeccable, our waitress was so attentive and caring, and we got to box everything that was left up and take it home. The food, to say the least, was exquisite, the pasta was so delicate and delicious and all of the wine pairings were expertly paired with every course. Also, we got several additional items from the menu and the value of everything was awesome. I would 10/10 Spinasse and the degustazione option to anyone. Well worth the wait for reservations.

The experience was great, except for the garbage truck emptying SEVERAL dumpsters while we were eating. Very unprofessional and the garbage man acted as though he was enjoying the disruption of our dinner. I would recommend Spinasse but tell them NOT to eat outside.

I have never been at a restaurant that refused to serve a vegetarian a salad without meat or cheese. They charged us $17 full price for what was a delicious salad and put the prosciutto that normally comes on the salad on a separate plate and delivered it to the table. Since we had told them we wouldn’t eat it and didn’t want it and asked if they could put any other vegetables or even an anchovy on it since she eats fish just not meat or cheese or butter or cream the waiter acted agreeable but the server brought the prosciutto on a separate plate. Later we asked them to wrap the prosciutto so we could give it to a homeless person and the guy removed it and never brought it back. The bill was full price for the green salad with prosciutto. There was no vegetarian item on the entire menu without butter, cheese, cream, so obviously we sadly chose the wrong restaurant not knowing they were so inflexible. We chose it because I wanted the fresh made pasta. I didn’t want meat but the butter sage sauce was tasteless and so rich. The sage was not integrated into the sauce and its flavor was lost sadly. It was the most disappointing anniversary meal we have ever had. We did enjoy the broccoli side but they also were unable to make the anchovy garlic sauce for it fresh without cream. So I recommend looking carefully at the menu because what you see is exactly what you get. And it’s definitely not a place for vegetable lovers and more healthy choice eaters. Oh, and they complained when the vegetarian asked for olive oil to dip her bread in because “it’s meant to go with the appetizers -all of which had cheese so the vegan/pescadarean wasn’t eating them!

Outdoor seating places you in a colorful neighborhood with a few schizophrenics muttering epithets at will-o-wisps & hobgoblins lurking in the shadows as they walk by, but it's a rather pleasant and refreshing change from the otherwise sterile environments at competing higher-end Italian Restaurants in the region. The food is exceptional - on par or slightly superior to Il Terrazzo Carmine and considerably more creative. The staff is far superior with intelligence, charm, and knowledgebases far exceeding the usual suspects. It's a challenge to find anything to compare these professionals to in the region. Covid has decimated the profession. but Spinasse has miraculously kept a firm grasp on an exceptional staff. Perhaps the best Italian regionally and the only specialist on Piedmont that I know of. Not a cheap date, but with quality like this, who cares?

As someone who likes to use ours opened better to catch up with old friends and reminisce, relax, and so forth, I prefer environments in which I don’t have to shout to be heard. This restaurant is narrow, with tables close together. The noise level was such that I was shouting much of the time to be heard across the table. By the end of the evening, I was hoarse.

I have dined at Spinasse dozens of times since 2011. The best Italian restaurant in Seattle along with Altura (Cafe Juanita is best on the Eastside). The menu changes with the seasons, and there are usual ~4 appetizers (order to sampler), ~4 pastas, ~4 entrees, and a few desserts. The wine list is heavy with Italian wines, with reasonable prices. I've been to 54 countries, and to Italy 6-8 times. Spinasse is competitive with the best food in Italy.

Spinasse is known as the best Italian restaurant in Seattle, and a reservation is difficult to attain. It is also known for being "Seattle concerned," and doing the right thing. But their crowning may have caused Spinasse not to try as hard, because our dinner outside on a sultry Sunday evening in July was good, but didn't match the greatness I remember from the past. A bland appetizer with burrata was so unmemorable, I forgot the rest of the ingredients. Spinasse did take it off our bill when someone at our table complained. The fine hand-cut egg yolk pasta with cultured butter and sage was magnificent and saved the evening, but the fine hand-cut egg yolk pasta with pork and beef ragù was not appropriate for the fine cut noodles. The ragu didn't stick to the noodles because they were too thin. Thus, the pasta, although well made, was very bland. Everyone did rave about the heirloom tomatoes. Service was perfunctory, exhibiting what I coin Seattle professionalism. It was robotic, and we were faceless patrons, not much different than animated characters on a computer screen. What was once the Seattle freeze is now the Tech soulless, a malaise attacking the Emerald City with a vengeance. Soon robots will replace servers, and at certain establishments, we won't know the difference. Sadly, I think Spinasse has lost its soul along with millions of others who spend more time interacting with machines than people.

We came here twice while we stayed in Seattle. Best restaurant by far for charm and authenticity. We had pretty much everything. Prosciutto with cherries-delicious Crepelle- good Antipasti plate- great way to start and try everything Tajarin- butter sage, bolo delicious. Recommend getting small portions of both Gnocchi with Morels- best Cavatelli with shortribs ragu- delicious. Lamb shank- was luscious and plenty to share NY steak was perfectly prepared, tender. Good. Honey ice cream is a must- not overpowering. Surprised me how good it was. Paper plane cocktail was Divine. Italian wines were wonderful pairings. Menu changed the following week which I enjoyed discovering new favorites. Tajarin is a mainstay I believe. Rezes a must but some spots at the bar are the best seats to gaze into the kitchen and watch the mixologist. Lovely time. Thank you Spinasse! Servers knowledgeable and attentive.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Spinasse! Wonderful service and ambiance. Our waiter was super helpful and gave great suggestions. We started with a half order of the prosciutto. For our mains, I did the small order of the short rib cavatelli (truly amazing!), and my husband ordered the full size tarajin ragu. He looked up at one point and said, "this is the best pasta I've ever had." You just can't beat homemade, fresh pasta! Our drinks were great too -- I got a glass of wine and my husband ordered the negroni. The whole meal was the PERFECT way to celebrate our wedding anniversary!

After reading several articles about Seattle restaurants, Spinasse was in all of them. We were able to get a reservation for our last night in town and were blown away. We were amazed by the food and win pairings, all of which are from the Piedmont region in Italy. Our server, Eric, was as good as it gets. We did the chef tasting with wine pairings and left beyond impressed.

Enjoyed my meal here. The waitress was pretty knowledgeable and gave great recommendations on wine and food. The wine menu is expansive and we didn't know which one to get, but Vanessa recommended a great wine that paired deliciously with our food. As for the food itself, I loved everything I ate. The star of the meal would be the pasts. I liked all four of them, but my favorite ones are the el ragu and risotto! The only thing I didn't like was the broccoli dish. It was a little too salty for my taste.
