Over crowded on Valentine’s Day, with pretty terrible front of house. For about a $600 night including drinks and a tasting menu experience, we had to wait past our reservation time and fight for a seat at a table (instead of the sushi counter) despite having made reservations far in advance. For a five course tasting menu (mostly consisting of sashimi & raw food, which should take no time to prep) we were left waiting half an hour between each serving (which were tiny and quick to eat) Multiple times we were also brought someone else’s food and had to say “ oh we had that course already “ Normal menu looked better based on what others had. Very overpriced, terrible service, and just fine food.

Our go to for celebrating. We always sit at the central square indoor garden. Everything is wonderful but we love most the various O-Banzai and Garlic Shiso Rice. But we really miss the homemade tofu!

Amazing meal! The aesthetic and ambience in the lounge area was soothing in the winter rainy weather. The food was delicious! Love the yuzu carpaccio, the tuna bowl the with butter soy dressing, and the clay pot rice with truffle! The soba pudding was also unique in flavors. 10/10 would come back to nyc just to eat here again!

Servers were very busy, but took longer than expected to get order taken at counter seats. Once I received service food was very good and was brought out in a timely manner. Overall the kaiseki was very good and I would come back again. Was a bit on the expensive side.
