Dominic and Jackie Galati purchased Dominic's on the Hill in 1971 and moved in above the restaurant. Within two years, Dominic began winning national awards and has continued to do so for the last 40 years. This is an exceptional restaurant with fine Italian cuisine, professional, friendly service, & an extensive wine list. Dominic oversees the kitchen,and the menu includes fresh seafood, veal, tenderloin, lamb, and many other choices. The restaurant has a Florentine atmosphere, with low lighting, white tablecloths, & classic oil paintings. Dominic's has been honored by DIRONA, 2001 Restaurant Hall of Fame, 1999 International Award of Excellence, The Epicurean Award & was voted one of the two best Italian Restaurants in the country by Conde Nast Traveller.

The second floor of the restaurant is available for private parties of 15-65. Please call for details. Smaller parties up to 18 people can be accommodated downstairs as well as larger parties up to 150.

    It's been several years since we've been to Dominic's but the food, atmosphere, service [Geno] and ambiance are all still amazing. We enjoyed chatting with Dominic about old times and memories. We highly recommend this restaurant.

    Our meals were excellent particularly the sea bass blackened and the linguine with clams. We had very good wait staff. We look forward to returning.

    We had a horrible experience at Dominic’s. Reservations at 8:30. Had a short wait until our table was ready. When we were sat, I told the manager my daughter was joining us a bit later. He said no problem, would bring an extra setting when she arrived. The problems came with our waiter. He came to our table at 8:45 and asked for our drink order. Asked a few questions about the wine list but he was completely uninterested in answering them. Brought wine back to our table, poured the glasses which he does not serve to us, but just left them on the end of the table. Then he asked for our order. We said that we were just going to order an appetizer and wait for our daughter for the entree. THEN he stated that the kitchen would close in 10 minutes so we could not do that. At this point, we were so insulted by the waiters lack of engagement then to come to find out we didn’t even have time to order (this was not stated in our reservations or by anyone else who sat us), that we got up and left. Went to Charlie Gittos then. Greatly warmly, worked with our schedule and had a lovely dinner!

    Another enjoyable dining experience at Dominic's. Service and food were excellent. Being a busy Friday night, the noise level was higher than, usual, but the tables are spaced far enough apart that normal conversation cold be easily heard.

    We had a wonderful family dinner of 9 adults celebrating our 60th anniversary. We like Dominic (and Dominic’s) so much so that we drove home a few days early from Orange Beach Alabama just because there was no place we would have rather celebrated than at Dominic’s ! Lovely evening❣️and the best Cosmo I have ever had! It’s perfect! And if you are really lucky you could be serenaded by Dominic! What a treat❣️

    Very relaxed atmosphere. Dining here is an event. Allow more time than you are probably used to from start to finish. And that is okay! With most of life these days concerned with how fast we can move on to the next thing, dining at Dominic’s reminds us to slow down and enjoy their excellent offerings.

    Dominic's never disappoints! We dined on a Friday night, and the dining rooms despite the late hour, were still very busy. However, the staff was welcoming and attentive during dinner. For dinner, we had an eggplant parmesan appetizer and salad followed by our main course of veal piccata and tenderloin with lobster. Everything we ordered was freshly prepared, delicious, and served in a timely manner. The restaurant atmosphere was pleasant despite the business of the dining room. We even were treated to an excellent vocal rendition of "O Sole Mio" sung by Dominic Galati! Dominic's is a welcoming restaurant in the best of Italian tradition where you are never rushed and encouraged to sip and savor your meal.

    The service and attention to detail was top notch! Everyone on staff were concerned about us and it showed! The food was delicious and came out at the perfect temperature. With a group of 7, sometimes that can be tricky. Everyone of us were so impressed and can’t wIt to go back! Thank you, Dominic’s!!

    Wonderful experience! They have mastered the evening out. Food cannot be beat. The server was attentive but not hovering. The atmosphere is welcoming as well as restful. All in all, a fantastic evening.

    We loved all of the food we ordered. It was delicious. Cannelloni, Osso Bucco, and Veal Piccata, plus apps and a wonderful dessert. Our servers were on the ball and very congenial. They took care of anything we needed, but anticipated most of it. We are not from Saint Louis, but will definitely go back for another visit to Dominic's the next time we're in town. Thanks for a lovely evening!

    The food was outstanding, one of the best pieces of meat I ever had. Service on the table was excellent. Timing of the food served was perfect. If you want to go out for a fine dining with your wife this is the place to go

    I made a reservation for 8:15, it was the earliest available. We arrived on time and ordered a drink. The waiter came back at 8:25 and said the kitchen was closing at 9:00 and if we wanted to eat we needed to order. The food was good but for the price they shouldn’t rush. Service was bad. I’ll be hard pressed to return.

    I can’t even begin to describe how amazing this place is. If you want authentic Italian and to be treated like family this is the only place to go. We entered and Mr Galati greeted us personally. He walked us thru his dining room and allowed us to pick the table we wanted. That was just the start. The service was impeccable and the food was even better. Wine selection is to die for. Don’t even get me started on their espresso martini……amazing!! We were fortunate enough to meet his daughter that was running the bar at the time. We had an amazing conversation and she shared some family history. Truly making us feel like they really wanted us there. We weren’t just another ticket being fed. Mr Galati, after some coaxing even serenaded my wife in his amazing, authentic, Italian singing voice. All of this was just because. It wasn’t our anniversary, we weren’t there for a special occasion. We had just heard how good it was and we wanted to find out for ourselves. If you’ve never been I suggest you go. It will be the last Italian restaurant you “try”. Nothing else on the Hill even comes close to the experience provided by Dominic’s. We are now forever loyal customers of this wonderful establishment. Just go and thank me later.

    Everything was amazing. We can’t wait to go back and bring our friends/family. I had the stuffed veal special and it was some of the best food I’ve ever had. My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and they brought us out a slice of cake that was incredible. Thank you so much for making our first wedding anniversary so memorable!

    Dominic's restaurant has a really nice retro feel. When you walk in you are transported to a different time...old world atmosphere, brat packish feel. Business casual is the attire, great food and an attentive staff. The owner went to every table to introduce himself, and to check on the experience we were having, we will definitely go back!
