The Roycroft Inn
Dinner selections range from $16-$35, lunch from $7-$15,
Sunday Buffet Brunch from $29.00
Even with a banquet and a wedding on the premises, we were comfortable, even cozy. The server was personable, fun and attentive. Most of all the food was extraordinary.
A.M.A.Z.I.N.G The food is so decadent and had a string quartet. Love it here!!
We've been to the Roycroft many times and each one has been perfect. The food is always prepared just as you would expect and the service is outstanding. Tuesday's they have their Beer & Burger for $15. This is a bargain. But what is special about the Roycroft is the ambiance. Inside or out, there is not a bad seating. Very highly recommended!!
Quite simply, one of WNY’s finest restaurants. Food, atmosphere, cocktails, setting are all elite.
Enjoyed lunch with 2 Grandmothers. Seating was great and food was delicious. Beautiful restaurant.
We really enjoyed our meal and the ambience the Roycroft provides. The service was excellent and we were able to get seated and serviced promptly before we went to the theater. We will diffently be going back .
Our meal was delicious and the service was great. There was a band in the lounge that was amazing. Love the ambiance here!
The food was fine but some of it was overly salted. Especially the blue cheese fries. A beautiful place and I would go again.
Love it. Allways great food and the servers are the best
Our group of four cousins and cousins-in-law from the Rochester area meet every 4-6 weeks for lunch, and during the spring through autumn seasons we regularly drive some distance (to the Finger Lakes, or, in this case, to East Aurora, and elsewhere within an hour or so) to enjoy the day and the opportunity to visit some interesting sites (e.g., the Roycroft Campus and Vidler's, and also, most recently, the National Women's Hall of Fame in Seneca Falls). Our trip on October 24, 2018 was one of the best excursions we've had -- what a wonderful place is EA, with its many stately homes and, especially, the Roycroft Inn which we have decided must be an annual lunch stop, if not more frequently. The menu is marvelous, and so very reasonable, and our waiter was terrific and, to boot, was able to answer my questions about the history of the Inn and of EA's arts and crafts heritage. A super experience was had by the four of us. Thanks so much.
Everything was perfect! Our server Mark was friendly and very knowledgeable. The food was delicious and great portion size!
The Roycroft Inn is a hidden gem in East Aurora and is worth every penny! It's a beautiful rustic restaurant that also links to their hotel. Olivia was an awesome server who made you feel welcomed and taken care of. The food is delicious and there isn't a bad dish. They also have a wide array of cocktails and housemade desserts that change with the seasons.
We have been going to the Roycroft brunch for many years. The atmosphere is exceptional. It's a landmark. We especially love eating in the library.Wonderfully cozy and warm with a real fireplace and live music, the location is just perfect. However, the food is just so so. The carved prime rib was fatty and flavorless. Many of hot dishes smacked of bad food service: dried out chicken and fish. The breakfast sausage was just awful. There is plenty of variety and we love the omelet station, but they need to take a closer look at some of the dishes they're serving. At $80 for brunch for two, the food should be excellent.
Entrees were colorful and pretty. The spicy tofu dish was quite good, other than an excess of rice. But if you need tons of extra carbs and calories, I guess you might want almost 3 cups of rice. The dish was vegan, healthy, and seriously good! The salmon was cooked perfectly, and excellent. The pumpkin cheese cake wasn't great. But the chocolate dessert was deeply flavorful. Desserts were small. Seasonal salad and soup of the day were good. I don't know why, before serving bread, they served a small pumpkin popover. To us, that's carb overkill. And odd.
Personally, from popover to salad dressing and salmon, the food ia all a little sweeter than I prefer. Save the sugar and maple syrup for dessert!
Service was excellent. Water was refilled frequently. Food came at a good pace. When I forgot something at the table, they phoned me right away and took care of leaving it at the front desk.
During Local Restaurant Week, it was a very good deal. The regular menu is well over what we would normally be willing to pay.
One of the nicest dinners this year...great food, well prepared considering a very busy night
Got seated right away with a reservation even though the other couple was not there yet. Our table was in the main(?) dining room (no fireplace). The immediate problem was the high noise level. There was a loud group of around 20 people in the room seated at a long table. Also, there was a function (wedding?) taking maybe 40% of the dining area. The function was not in a separate room, just partially shielded with six-foot folding panels. The noise from the 20 people in the dining room coupled with the noise from the function completely destroyed any thoughts of having a quiet dinner with friends. The food and service (and prices) were good but that's all drowned out by the memory of the incredible noise level. We've never experienced that level of noise in what's advertised as a fine dining restaurant.
Thank you for a very memorable 50th anniversary! All 13 of us really enjoyed our experience and will return again soon.
We visited the Roycroft during restaurant week. We all chose from the $20.18 menu, the gumbo was excellent as well as the lobster bisque. I ordered the salmon and it was cooked to perfection. The flourless chocolate cake was super rich (in a good way). The only negative was the pumpkin cheesecake- it was lacking in flavor. Despite this I would highly recommend the Roycroft.
Service was quick and snappy. We went during restuarant week (which I was initially disappointed my birthday fell on restaurant week because I hate limited menus) but the menu had something for everyone, vegan, pescatarian, everything eater. We were all so happy with our meal and the selection of red wine. It probably won't be a weekly meal ($) but it was well worth it and we will be back.
The food was amazing and our service was wonderful. It was a great experience and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who finds themselves in the area!
A group of 8 of us went for restaurant week. Everyone enjoyed their meals short ribs (tender and tasty!), salmon, pasta. French onion soup to die for!
One of our group was having indigestion and the staff was so accomodating by providing ginger ale and bitters with tonic water and bottle of pepto bismol! Awesome waitress and staff.
The Roycroft is a must see architectural beauty!
This was our 4th year dining here during restaurant week. We have made it a tradition to dine here with friends the food is always superb! We had filet mignon, scallops and the tomahawk pork chop! Roycroft does not disappoint.
A wonderful choice for restaurant week and a fantastic choice all around the year! Always delicious food, excellent service, and a pleasure to get to be a part of historic East Aurora!
The food selection was great and varied enough for several different tastes.
You guys were fantastic as I had requested a table with minimal walking as my father is aging. It was perfect, our 1st time there and my entire family of 10 loved it.
We celebrated a birthday with Sunday brunch. The food was delicious, the cocktails very tasty, and the service was top notch. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and family.
Their Sunday Brunch is marvelous. Your choice of different meat, cut to order. An omelet station and a French toast / Pancake station. There's a nice selection on the buffet and a huge dessert table. And the string quartet playing just gives the best ambiance. The Roycroft Inn is just a marvel.
Was there for daughters bday we all were pleased with our dinners which included filet lobster and swordfish...the place is such a wonderful atmosphere only small mention we sat next to doors which opened often and wedding was going on so music from wedding would be loud at times it didn't bother us at all we enjoyed it but maybe others might not so I think it should be addressed when seating people just so people aren't aware bc it could be an issue we totally had a wonderful evening to there
My friend and I had a lovely lunch together. It was quiet enough to talk and our waitress was wonderful. (We sat in the fireplace room.)
We had a lovely lunch on a beautiful covered patio. Service was top notch and the food even more so. The manager made his rounds and was very friendly and helpful. Great menu selection and fabulous food. The ambiance is why we come back time and again. A trip..and purchase...at the beautiful gift shop made the afternoon perfect. Best of all, sitting outside on the fabulous covered patio!
Outstanding venue, service and quality food. We will be returning for sure. We will highly recommend this to our friends and family.
A gorgeous day on the porch at the Roycroft. My mother, sister and I drove from Rochester for a day trip to East Aurora. I had the soup of the day, a pumpkin cheddar that was wonderful and the Goat Cheese salad which was delicious. We got there early, ahead of our reservation and were glad we did (11:45) . I can't wait to go back at Christmas time with my husband for a special meal.
I WAS HOSTING FAMILY FROM NEW JERSEY.
THEY LOVED THE HISTORY OF THE ROYCROFT INN AND ARCHITECTURE. THE SUNDAY BRUNCH BUFFET WAS FABULOUS. SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE.
I ASKED THEM TO SIGN GUEST BOOK ON THE PIANO IN THE LOBBY.
SPECIAL THANKS TO DANIELLE
OUR SERVER. VERY PROFESSIONAL,
COURTEOUS AND ATTENTIVE. THE TABLE WAS CLEARED PROMPTLY BY OTHER SERVERS.
THEY ACCOMMODATED OUR REQUEST TO TAKE A PHOTO OF OUR GROUP.
THE EASE OF MAKING A RESERVATION VIA OPEN TABLE IS A CONVENIENT AND A REAL PLUS.
Lovely! Perfectly cooked shrimp, salad was delicious. Attentive, friendly staff.
We went to celebrate the birthday of our friend. The food and drinks were excellent and the service was outstanding!
Our experience was a little disappointing. It was our 36th anniversary and we were looking forward to a special dinner. We decided on filet and lobster, thinking that the Roycroft would certainly have a wonderful Surf and Turf. We ordered and I do believe I said filet and lobster surf and turf but apparently the waiter only heard surf and turf. The salad came and was delicious and plated beautifully, the bread coming 5 -10 minutes later. When our order came, to our surprise it was strip steak and scallops - that night's special. My husband doesn't eat scallops so his meal was a no go, but I tried to make the best of it however the steak and mashed potatoes were barely warm. Not at all what you would expect from the Roycroft.
We did let the waiter know there was some confusion with our order and that what the brought was not hot. The manager did come over and said if we wanted to wait 20 minutes they would do the filet and lobster, we said we would, that this was a special occasion and were looking forward to our dinner. The surf and turf came and it was ok, nothing I would recommend as the best filet and lobster I've had and I have to say once again it was barely warm.
Overall we had a nice time because it was our anniversary and although disappointed in our dinner on this occasion, we will continue to come for the Sunday Brunch and will undoubtedly give dinner a try again, but not in the near future.
We chose the Roycroft this year to celebrate our Anniversary and were very pleased with our choice. Our server was extremely pleasant and brought us each a complementary flute of champagne. Our meal was exceptional and the service superb. We were also given a complementary dessert to share at the end of our meal. We couldn't believe how well we were treated. Will definitely return.
There was a thunderstorm the evening of our reservation, and the entire area lost power. We still received our meals, and they were impeccable. When torrential rains threatened our dining experience on the porch, huge roman shades were drawn down and secured. The wait staff doted on us. Nothing could impede our perfect dining experience. It was lovely, romantic and a touch exciting. We will go there again, whenever we're back in the area.
Love Tuesday burger and beer night. Veranda seating is great. Come here often in all seasons.
