Food was excellent and staff were very friendly and helpful. We sat outside in the court yard at the back of restaurant and it was so lovely. Will definitely be back!

Had father's day lunch and the roast dinner was lovely. We were seated upstairs and the room was freezing we mentioned this and the staff did turn it down to where it was comfortable. The ambience was nice everyone enjoying their meals and having conversations. The waiting staff although very friendly and courteous - and this is only a little moan as it has happened twice on our visits. When the drinks are brought to the table they are not served ie: so my husband opened and poured our wine and my son opened and had to pour his own bottled drink. I know it is probably picky but I think the price should reflect the service and I can open my fridge and pour my own wine at home - when I am out I like the little touches. Overall enjoyed our lunch and would return.

We enjoyed it overall they had ran out of some things which was something to be mindful of the steak was good and there was a nice atmosphere different spaces to eat including outside area

Fantastic food as always, with great, pleasant and attentive service. Just a shame there was a very loud group in the middle of the room. Won't put us off revisiting, though!

Highly suggest the Eel starter and also their beef related products. Good for special occasion as well.

Beef stew portion looked small but was quite rich so maybe an idea to share this with a side dish! Steak could have been seasoned more. Belly pork bites overpriced at £10 for 4. Desserts lovely. Mocha good. Best thing was the bread basket, lovely choice of bread, butter was sooo nice!!

We took our seriously foodie son and family to the Griddle Bar and had a fantastic experience. All generations were warmly welcomed by the Manager and waiting staff. Our starters of Chicken Liver Pate, Grilled Eel and Pork Belly Bites were incredible and just when we thought it couldn't get any better, the main courses of Ribeye Steak, Beef and Marrow Bone Pie and Beef Stew and Dumplings arrived - and were rich and delicious. We are looking forward to returning to enjoy your outside seating next!
