« L'expérience culinaire devrait être le partage des entrées afin que chacun puisse goûter à différentes saveurs et textures », dit si bien le chef Gregory Zapantis. « Beaucoup de gens me demandent si c'est de la cuisine grecque et je ne sais pas si je dois comparer ma cuisine à celle de 1962 ou de 2009, mais ma réponse est un restaurant de fruits de mer avec des saveurs grecques qui lui sont propres », poursuit-il. « Le menu de poissons tout simplement grillés est proposé avec simplicité et élégance! » reprend-il. « Nous apportons à la population de Washington une nouvelle expérience », ajoute le chef Anthony Acinapura. Le Kellari Taverna met en vedette des produits de la mer provenant de pêches durables.

The restaurant is indefinitely closed and no one from OpenTable or the restaurant notified us. Had to make a last minute reservation elsewhere.

Without any warning, the restaurant was closed and I had to take my guest to a different restaurant. I am sure there were ways to alert the clients beforehand using OpenTable.

I reserved a table for four people for a business meeting for my boss and one of the attendees showed up first only to find that the restaurant was closed. I called the restaurant and got the voicemail that indicated they were open. No one ever returned my call. OpenTable let me make the reservation. My boss and his group ended up having to find a spot elsewhere. Terrible business.

We recently visited Kellari for the first time since COVID, and the experience was disappointing. On a Sunday evening, the restaurant was nearly empty with only four other patrons. Service was handled by just two staff members — the bartender and hostess — and we were unsure about the kitchen staff. Previously known for its fresh display, Kellari no longer offers this feature. We encountered several disappointments, including items like no mozzarella cheese, fresh oysters, and grilled octopus being unavailable. This experience has made us reconsider returning to this restaurant in the future.

The server was great and the food was good, but the rest of the experience was lacking. They were severely short-staffed so it took hours to eat our meal. Plus, they did not have several items on the menu. Overall, they should just close on Sunday afternoons if they are not going to be fully staffed and supplied.

The food was good restaurant ambiance was fantastic but they had one worker working taking orders and seating you .the service was pretty slow .i almost thought she was cooking the food ,because things were just so slow

Kellari is one of my favorite places to dine! The staff is responsive and friendly! The food is consistently delicious!

At lunch, we had lovely salads with grilled salmon, cooked perfectly. Staff were able to accommodate special needs like no salt, and severe shellfish allergy. Waiter was attentive to our slow pacing even though it got busy. Beverages as simple as a perfect cappuccino (decaf) and a zesty iced tea were great. A little pricey for a girlfriend lunch, but well worth the quality of food, service, and ambiance.

It took over an hour to get our food and our waitress simply said it was not her fault. When it did arrive one of the 3 types of seafood was replaced with salad but the price wasn’t adjusted nor had I been offered the chance to change my order.

Slow service, they need to know how to make a real mimosa! The manager was sitting looking at two poor ladies running around the table without any help not even came to customers to appologize for the slow service!! Food was amazing but chocolate mousse was very sweet and doesn’t taste like a real chocolate mousse! We fidn’t enjoy our brunch as it should be. I’m not blaming the servers but the mistake is coming from the manager who scheduled two servers for more than 10 full tables!!!
