This was my first time at the Simon Pearce restaurant and my partner's second time. We both loved it! The food was outstanding, the service impeccable and the ambiance was relaxing and lovely. We really enjoyed watching glassware being made downstairs and learning a little about the process from the lead craftsman. It was a wonderful and memorable night for us!
Best meal in a long time! Fabulous food artfully served, wonderful waitstaff, exceptional ambiance. What more can you ask for?
We had the cheddar soup, roasted lamb and hummus for starters, followed by the gnocchi with crispy broccoli, then the duck. Oh, that was the best duck with a balsamic glaze served over a hearty grain - bulgur I think- cooked to perfection. We shared a dessert of rich, warm chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream and a light maple glaze.
Signature Cocktail before dinner, smooth red wine with dinner and espresso with dessert.
Can't wait to return.!
We were visiting the area and found Simon Pearce to be our top pick - relaxed, friendly, and professional service and a chef driven menu that impressed us all around.
Wonderful as always!
This is always a wonderful place to go for a special occasion. The food is always delicious, the setting is magnificent, and we got my favorite table, overlooking the water fall.
Our waiter was very nice but sometimes seemed to completely ignore us and our table. That’s really my only negative comment.
It was a very enjoyable night with my daughter to celebrate my birthday.
We chose Simon Pearce for our second anniversary because we were looking for a special date. We wanted a romantic spot with excellent food. We were not disappointed! Since I had sent a note with our reservation that it was our anniversary, the hostess greeted us with a friendly "Happy Anniversary!" and sat us at the perfect, secluded seat overlooking the waterfall and covered bridge. The food was amazing and the atmosphere with the candles in Simon Pearce glass was very romantic and cozy. We ended up visiting the shop afterwards and buying plates for our new house. When I look to celebrate an occasion I am looking for "an experience" with a meal that is well timed and worth the money. Simon Pearce did that beautifully. Thank you!
This place doesn't disappoint. Been there twice and I just love the ambiance. The service is top notch and the food is delicious.
We travel from Minnesota every year to Vermont. Eating and shopping at Simon Pearce is first on our itinerary followed by hiking some on the Appalachian trail. If you haven’t eaten the horseradish crusted cod you are really missing out!
Had a lovely dinner with my mum. The food was incredible. Had a delicious cocktail and excellent pasta dish. The service was great as well, everyone was very friendly! This place is such a gem :)
From the moment the staff greeted us, we knew we were in for something extraordinary.
Our server Lisa was engaging, personable, and thoroughly knowledgeable about the menu.
Our meals were delicious and prepared with an incredible attention to detail.
This was one of our favorite dining experiences- ever.
Scenic setting and outstanding service. Halibut was over cooked and sauce burnt. Overall a pleasant experience.
Simon Pearce was recommended to us by a friend who had recently visited the area. We weren’t disappointed! Everything was perfect. Food was outstanding!
Very pleasant dining, attentive service. Interesting menu.
We both ordered fish; my cod was cooked perfectly- very moist. My wife's haddock was a bit overcooked and dry.
I have dined many times at Simon Pearce over the past 20 years. It was always consistently an overall wonderful dining experience. It’s been about 3 years since my last visit and I dined there recently and it was a disappointment from waiting for a table (with a reservation) to mediocre food and service. It was certainly not worth menu prices for the quality of the food and service.
My girlfriend and I were in Quechee to visit the Simon Pearce flagship store. When reserving our table I made a request to be seated near a window, and I'm glad I did. Our table overlooked the stunning waterfall just outside the restaurant and offered us an incredible scene for our meal. We had the baked burrata for an appetizer, and I ordered short ribs for my entree while my girlfriend ordered fish. We were both more than satisfied with the food, but the service really cemented the experience for us. Our waiter Keith was exceptionally friendly and came by frequently to check on our meal. Couldn't have asked for a better night in VT!
This was our second visit to Simon Pearce. We loved it again, and it was fun to look at the glass blowers and see all the beautiful glass and wood merchandise in the store as well. It's a great place to pick up some wedding gifts after a meal!
Glad we had an opportunity to dine here. We sat at the "most romantic table", service was great and enjoyed our meal. Definitely worth the price.
Visifallfrom tbe UK as part of a New England roadtrip this fall. Restaurant sits alongside river with waterfalls and covered bridge and is attached to shop sellibg quality glassware.
Menu was varied, started with shared Vermont Cheese Plate and then followed with crispy roast duckling and beef shortrib, all of it delicious and not overpriced especially given the quality of the food.
Would absolutely recommend to anyone visiting the Quechee area.
We had to do quick stop in Woodstock and decided to have an early dinner. It was a quiet Tuesday evening and the service and food was wonderful.
Wonderful place to celebrate a special day. Lovely ambiance, great service, and impeccable food.
I FINALLY was able to dine at Simon Pearce in Woodstock! During my past few visits, I never planned ahead so I never had the chance to actually dine. From the excellent service to the great food it was a wonderful experience. I love a crisp white tablecloth and that is how our meal started:). Our server was lovely and the cheddar soup was out of this world! Also, a special shout out to the hostess who had Philadelphia connections...she was super sweet and very accommodating.
Moving forward, I will always plan ahead to include a meal at Simon Pearce when visiting Vermont.
Group of six with various food preferences and likes all had a great time. Excellent service, well prepared and presented appetizers and dinner entrees, and the maple creme brulee, a menu standard, is exceptional!
Ate here in the 1992 and hope to able to come in another 25 years. Fabulous as ever! The fish is incredible. We had a huge group, larger than the table for 12 should have accommodated, but the staff made it work. Service was impeccable. Really can’t say enough nice things about this establishment. And be sure to check out the factory store and head downstairs to see what they are blowing, molding and/or shaping.
Worst meal I’ve had in Vermont yet . The steak was dry, came with a sauce that tasted canned, had to send the pasta back, lentils with the chickpea fritters were undercooked, pretty much all around a very disappointing experience
Reliably wonderful food with beautiful presentation and great service. Gorgeous location and table settings. Make sure to leave time to watch the glassblowing and browse the story.
Best food we've had in awhile. Vannesa was extremely attentive and showed up at the appropriate time throughout the meal to ask if we needed anything and made tremendous suggestions.
We thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Great cooking. Shame that you only have one vegetarian main course option, you should add a vegan one too. It would be good to have a veggy soup added. The chairs are not very comfortable and lighting is dull. We do like to see our dinner! Loved the glass showroom and watching the glass wear being made.
Simon Pierce was outstanding in everyway, from the perfect table by the river to the delicious meal and outstanding service we received. We would love to go back to dine again.
love everything about our beautiful experience. It was a perfect anniversary celebration. thank you
The always delightful Simon Pearce Restaurant has been a favorite for many years. It maintains its elegance, artfully crafted curation of food and beverage even as it reflects the current trends. Always special, it is my favorite place for an elegant dinner or celebratory brunch. A not to be missed gem.
First time for dinner here - I would say 4 star decor and 3 star dining. We were greeted promptly and seated at a nice table; water poured promptly and bread delicious and hot. Good wine list and ambience is great. My husband had the scallops appetizer and there was grit in the scallops; this is a serious dental hazard and simply unacceptable in my opinion. My mushroom leek soup was so so - nothing out of this world, good but a little on the thick side. Both of our entrees were delicious but they arrived at the table luke warm. We did let the waitress know but we didn't bother sending it back. Not sure I would go back here for dinner given the price but there just aren't that many good options for fine dining in Vermont so they get away with not being 4 star. Perhaps we will try lunch there.
Simon Pearce was lovely. Thank you for a lovely dinner.
Everything about Simon Pearce was phenomenal from the get-go. I highly recommend going early to snag a spot with a view (they’re first come first serve even with a reservation). My boyfriend and I did that and got the best seats in the house! Aside from the ambiance, the restaurant truly delivered in quality of the food. We shared the cheese plate to start and for our entrees, I got the crisp roasted duckling (HIGHLY recommend!!) and my boyfriend got the short rib, which was also delicious. The servers were very attentive throughout the entire night but definitely gave us our space, which I appreciate a lot at restaurants. Overall, I cannot recommend Simon Pearce enough if you’re in town, and I definitely look forward to coming back here again!
Too bad the great food, view, ambience was ruined by the waitress saying they do not take debit cards. It took us a while to get seated at the bar while we awaited our reservation time to begin
Excellent as always! Simon Pierce dies everything with class, and we had a wonderful dinner overlooking the river. Food was delicious and just the right portion sizes, and service was attentive but not overbearing. This restaurant is always a highlight of trips to Vermont.
Kindly, attentive service; delicious imaginative menu. That's just the restaurant! We had a lovely time admiring the glass - blowing workshop, the power generation, and the the glassware produced on site. We will certainly return.
Amazing meal and view! We had short rib, halibut and cod at our table, and each dish was fabulous!
Stephanie was our waitress and she was so good. She was not over bearing. The cheddar soup was fantastic as usual and the house greens with the goat cheese was very good. The halibut special was excellent. It is the place I will order duck as they know how to cook it so well. A very special place
Food was very good. Reservation well in advance if you want a seat by the windows.
This was my 2nd time at SP and it was wonderful yet again. The building is gorgeous and the food is excellent! I wouldn't advise going without a reservation.
