   Fabulous place with the best Sunday roast we have had in a long time. We complemented the chef and the lovely lady who looked after us on Sunday. We can’t wait to return.

   The menu was reduced and not the same as the menu in the hotel rooms and advertised on their website. Food was of a high standard however the service let it down as some items from our order were missed and we were the only table in restaurant. The staff were more focussed on the wedding party at the bar that over spills into the restaurant area for the hotel. Maybe it was just the evening that we dined in the restaurant. The food that we did have was delicious.

   Great food on Christmas Day serving the traditional Christmas meal. There was confusion because opentable let us make a reservation when they weren’t serving food, however the employees were great and accommodated us since we had driven so far and out of the way for the meal. Definitely was worth it as my wife and I cleaned our plates. Even gave us crackers and Christmas hats along with poppers! Christmas Day done right!

   Had a lovely Christmas Day lunch. Stayed overnight but was given to understand that my parents were in a ground floor room but this was not the case when we registered. However, it was a lovely room with a four poster bed. The room was very clean and the bathroom had a bidet in it. The chairs were very low and hard to get out of - perhaps a change? The TV was massive. My room was very clean - the only problem was that one of the lights on the bedside tables was not working and that the fan attached to the bathroom light was very noisy, even with the door closed and did not switch off for at least 30 minutes after the light was switched off. I did not use the shower. Apart from these minor issues, I would recommend this hotel and stay here again, if the occasion arises.

    We stayed at the hotel and booked to eat on the Friday evening. It was a meal for my husband and I. We had Shrimp and lamb starter and it was beautiful and just the right starter size. For main we had the beef and lamb shank. It was delightful. Even bursting to the brim every mouthful had to be finished as wasting any would have been a sin. The puddings sticky toffee pudding and creme brulee baileys were Devine. 10/10 I chose the Sparkling pink to accompany our meal which was also refreshing.
