We go to Jake’s every year when we visit relatives in San Diego. We went for our anniversary and the food was delicious and the staff was amazing <3! Would recommend for a wonderful experience from the moment you pull in the parking lot!

Lovely ocean view but a little chilly with most of the front windows open making it cold sitting 3 rows back. The grilled shrimp appetizer is fabulous.Scallops were excellent. Crusted fish special of the night was very dry which is unusual for Jakes since we dine there often and their specialties of the night are usually excellent. Our server Chase was very attentive and knowledgeable about the dishes and what recommendations he would make.

Great view of the ocean. Delicious food, well prepared. The fish tacos were spot on. Favorite place to eat in Del Mar.

A great place to enjoy wonderful food while seeing the beautiful San Diego beaches. We scheduled our dinner to see the sunset. Jake's was gracious to move our reservation when the sunset time became much earlier than when we made the reservation a month ago. The coco expresso martini cocktail was delicious. We also enjoyed lobster tails and shrimp mole. After the sunset, the restaurant actually turned on lights to illuminate the beaches and incoming waves so you can still see them clearly. I do wish there was a balcony or a way going out directly from the restaurant onto the beach to capture some of the beautiful photo moments. But still, this was a wonderful dining experience.

I had lunch with a long time friend of mine who I hadn't seen in years. The restaurant wasn't crowded and they didn't rush us at all. We really appreciated that and had a wonderful time together. The food was wonderful and the server great.
