It was terribly busy when we arrived due to staff illness. 😞 However, no one complained. The service was wonderful under the trying circumstances. Food wonderful. Ambience perfect. Lots of people made it noisy. But who cares. Great experience.

The decor with the bright red is a bit garish. The padding of the bench seating is ripped and needs replacing -one customer refused to sit there. The entrees we ordered, pasta with clams and pasta with shrimp, were excellent and the price was reasonable. The Caesar salad was decent. Drink, wine and cocktails were pricey and good. The food came quickly after ordering but we did not feel rushed. It was a good place to get a dinner before a Broadway show.

Made same day OpenTable reservations and was seated next to bathroom/kitchen door in back of bar with an otherwise mostly empty restaurant. Essentially no server assigned to our table. Had to request to order, enquire where our food was, ask a random employee for our bill. Was essentially put in a corner and forgotten about. Very frustrating experience.

The chocolate fondant cake and chocolate soufflé ordered were disappointing as they didn't match their descriptions on the menu. Both items seemed different from what was advertised, with the fondant resembling a regular chocolate mousse cake and the soufflé more like a fondant rather than an authentic soufflé. When my French colleague sought clarification, we were initially told that the soufflé was in the American style. However, it was later admitted that both the cake and soufflés were purchased from an external source. It was disappointing to have paid for items that did not meet their advertised descriptions, and there were no apologies or compensation offered for the discrepancy.

Family had recommended Sheratons on Broadway to us and boy did they undersell it. The appetizers (Crostini Di Sofia & Di Sofia-Caesar Salad) were delicious and generous portions. Our entrees, the Spaghetti Aglio & Olio-Al Pacino and the Spicy Penne Alla Vodka were outstanding. Also generous portions. The pasta was fresh and served al dente, which made it extra special. The Al Pacino had the right mix of garlic, oil and red pepper flakes so that none were overpowering. Our desert was the ricotta cheese cake which was tasty but a little heavy on the lemon. An excellent choice in NYC and before or after a Broadway show.

Overall great. Party of 6. Had to fight to split the bill 3 ways. Too bad to have to fight for something they said they couldn’t do. And in the end after fighting and somewhat ruining the evening they did it. Took less than 2 minutes.

I ordered the spaghetti with clams. When the dish came there appeared to be a dozen or so clam shells in the bowl but once i dug in all the shells were empty and the clams had NOT fallen out of their shells into the spaghetti. The dish was mostly spaghetti and empty clam shells. The price was typical for NY but because I feel shorted on the number of clams I left feeling it was overpriced.

It is my second time to NYC for a girl’s shopping trip and this was where we wanted to eat our first night here after our experience last year!! It didn’t disappoint; food was AMAZING and the service was top notch! I had lobster ravioli & my friend the lasagna. The bruschetta appetizer was one of the best I’ve ever had! Lovely spot for a birthday lunch with friends. Tasty salads (one each with shrimp, salmon and beef) and a great birthday version of the dessert we ordered. I've enjoyed eating at Serafina in their various locations and am pleased they're opening one in the east 80's.

The food turned out better than expected. My spaghettis "Al Pacino" had just the right amount of al dente and the right amount of flavorful sauce - neither too much nor too watery. My GF likewise liked her Chicken Breast Paillard - it was juicy and firm. I heard no complaints from the couple that was with us. The two complaints we had was that we found the music a little bit loud so that we had to raise our voices to converse and that the staff disposed of leftover food despite us asking them for a take home bag. Service otherwise was excellent. Probably because the location was near Carnegie Hall, the prices seemed to be a bit more expensive than I would have liked.

Food was wonderful, service was great! Party of 5 on a 2 hr lunch break- we were done in 90 minutes! Now that’s what I call SERVICE!!

The service was terrific. My friend and I shared the Serafina Chicken Salad and Lemon Farfalla, which are a perfect fit and has become our go-to meal, as Serafina has become our go-to restaurant for getting together when I come to town.
