The dinner service was incredible. The food amazing, everything was made to perfection. This is definitely the place to go for a special occasion or just fine dinning.
With Long Beach bridge construction and shipments' trucking re-routing, awful obstacle course with insufficient directions to get to Queen Mary. Interesting sights and shipboard facilities as always. Sir Winston's food not up to par with prior visits, but still extraordinary. A bit more pricy. Service was courteous, but lacked some coordinated timing of dishes' presentations at the table. Overall good, since not consistent with prior exceptional standards as expected.
Our server david was hands down the best. We both orderd the beef Wellington which was like butter iv never had meat so tender and soft and delish
I looked for a nearby restaurant, fine dining, and found Sir Winston's on the Queen Mary. This occasion was for my uncle who turned 90 that day. We were both very impressed with the dining ambiance, care of the waiter and other staff, and the food was incredible! Sir Winston's prepared a very special birthday dessert for my uncle also which I did not request. My uncle has never had such a nice meal and was overwhelmed with the experience. Pricing was very reasonable, all things considered.
I just loved the cocktail bar and piano playing before I went to my table....all was lovely.....
Hubby and I celebrated our anniversary and the evening could not have gone better. The service was wonderful and Tom was amazing. The food, by far the best! Cooked wonderful. Definitely recommend and would return
This is a true "old school" dining experience, aboard the beautiful Queen Mary! If you enjoy history, classic steakhouse type fine dining, beautiful views, and a historical, traditional atmosphere, you will love this restaurant!! If you are looking for modern, this isn't for you. The steaks melt in your mouth, and the dessert is amazing! Great menu, great service, and very cool atmosphere, enjoy!
The hostess Arielle was rude. She was going to sit us by the service counter which was the worst table in the entire restaurant. She also lacked decorum. The clients were better dressed than the "hostess". Our food was exceptional. David our server conducted himself professionally and integrity.
Amazing derby, food and experience. Waiter went all out to make sure me and my girlfriend had the best dinner. I ordered lobster and she ordered steak. It was cooked to absolute perfection. Loved every second of it.
It was such a beautiful dinner, great service and amazing food
The Veal medallions Oscar was wonderful. My husband got the jumbo stuffed shrimp and my brother in law tried it too. Neither were a fan of the stuffing. However the shrimp were huge, and filling. My sister and brother in law ordered some seafood dish with linguine. I can't remember how to spell it. Something like Fruittita de mare. They both loved it. I thoroughly enjoyed a Drop if Lavender. Is a grey goose martini. With drinks, food, appetizers, dessert, coffee tax and tip or bill was a little over$400 for 4 people.
My said the stuffed lobster was "like Happy Birthday in my mouth!" My family and I enjoyed every moment of our dinner at Sir Winstons!
To be truthful I thought it was expensive for the amount of food you get. I had a good experience but would never go back.
This was a gift for our parents and they loved every minute of their experience! Customer Service was fantastic along with the food and presentation from the beginning to end. My parents were treated like royalty and I thank you so much for the celebration of their 75th birthday and anniversary!
The rooms were extremely cold. The food was cold when it arrived. No salt and pepper on table. The food was average at best. The best part was the bar and the pianos before dinner. Be prepared to not find it within 5 minutes from the promade deck
Wonderful views especially in evening but that did not make up for low quality of prepared food at high prices. Dinner for 2 was well over $200 with only one glass of wine each. Table side Caesar was fun but needed more egg and garlic and Worcestershire was overwhelming. Stuffed shrimp came out cold and dry. Steak was mediocre but peppercorn sauce was thin without peppercorns and tasted like it was straight from a bottle. Broccolini side was limp and tasteless. Dessert cake dry. Friendly service though a bit unrefined. Some people in t-shirts and shorts with others in jackets or dresses. Would not recommend. Visit the bar and enjoy the view!
Really lovely restaurant and bar with fabulous food and service, the only thing that let it down for us was the slack dress code, people in shorts and hostess in jumper and jeans, if there’s a dress code stick to it or don’t state one at all!!
We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The waiter could not have been more pleasant.
Excellent dishes with outstanding service in a lovely environment.
Lovely meal but expensive for what it was. Disappointed that ki could not have a coffee after my meal as coffee machine not working. I was served a lyke warm expresso with milk. Nice birthday dessert for my partner which was appreciated
Its an experience, tou have to go! Worths the travel the views. Services is flawless, food and wine choices are great.
Totally we are satisfied
My husband wanted Beef Wellington for his Birthday Dinner and I searched high and low for a place to get it. Come to find the only place in Orange County to get Beef Wellington is Sir. Winstons. Not only is the meal delicious but the atmosphere is fun! It is old school classic dining. Something I miss now a days when every restaurant is open, bright, and loud. Sir. WInstons is the type of place that I went to when I was a kid and went out for a fancy dinner. Quiet and darkish with top notch service. I think if we took a sip of our water someone stealthily came and filled it back up. A Very Classic meal.
Also, The views are top notch is in the right seat. My only complaint... We were sat next to a window land side and the Halloween haunt thing was going on. Every 10 min or so a bright fire burst shot up and was blinding.... So, if you go in October request to not sit with a view of the Halloween Haunt. :) Otherwise.... Great night! Great Dinner and we will probably be back next year since this was year #2 for his request. :)
One Final Note about going in October... If going during the Halloween Haunt it can be a challenge to get in, park, and leave. So I would probably recommend having your reservation in October Before Dark.
This was for myself and two friends from work, we just wanted to have a fun evening together and un-wind, and wow Sir Winston's was the perfect place! The food, service, and ambiance were just a delight! I had a delicious New York steak and my two friends split a chateaubriand for two, and both said it was delicious. A bit on the pricey side for us working folks, but what a treat, and we most assuredly got what we paid for!
I was looking forward to dining here. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant, yet though waiter was nice, he and the service was extremely slow. It was so cold I could not enjoy being there. I ordered lamb chops medium- not only were they rare, they were lukewarm. There was nothing else on the plate but 3 small chops. The waiter didn’t bother to tell us that everything was ala carte. They were $48.00.
Felt like we steeped back in time! It was an amazing experience. Food was fabulous, staff was friendly and knowledgeable.
Definitely recommend Sir Winston’s.
I wanted a memorable birthday dinner and this spot fit the bill! I had a table overlooking the waterfront, and saw an exquisite sunset as I was dining. The service staff was especially attentive, and provided excellent suggestions to make my meal extraordinary. Everything about my dinner was perfect! Thank you.
Beautiful and historic room and ambiance. Food quality was excellent. The Souffle was a bit lackluster.
Had a great time.
Service was great, food was great too.
We'll see you soon. Thank you.
First time customer. Celebrating bday. Amazing views. I had requested a window table n it was perfect. Great experience over all...from the friendly hostes to the bartender Carlos to the buser and specially Jesus our server. Jesus was very attentive, made the experience memorable. Will definitely b back.
Wonderful memories service first class food flavour and presentation amazing.
Delicious food in an authentic setting. Something different and memorable!
Although we enjoyed our night at the restaurant for a 5 star we got 3 star service. 3 out of 7 food came to us cold lie it sat around for half hour. My water cup was filled as soon as it was half full until the bill was presented to us then it was like we didn't exist any more. Nobody was rude they were very pleasant. Would I make reservation there again, answer is yes. Actually the table we were seated at they could have seated ten which I originally asked for and when you said none available till Sunday I changed to 7 and got it for Saturday.
Clams Casino has a great preparation, 3 of the clams were a tad rubbery.
Spinach Salad was great, had an over-easy quail egg in it.
Bacon wrapped scallops were phenomenal. I added cream corn and the sweet/savory corn added the more flavor, i rec ordering these dishes as a pairing.
Wife had a new york steak with red whine sauce and that was also terrific.
i would prolly skip the souffle next time, but it wasnt terrible.
Very classy and quiet place with ocean view.
My husband and I came here for our anniversary. It was just lovely. The servers were attentive and very kind. The food was delicious and the portions were large. They brought out a delicious chocolate cake for us to celebrate our special day. We had the best table in the restaurant!! It was just beautiful and romantic. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is celebrating a special occasion or someone who just wants fine food and a lovely evening out.
I enjoyed myself totally. THE FOOD WAS FANTASTIC, THE SERVICE WAS FANTASTIC , THE ATMOSPHERE WAS FANTASTIC. THE PASSION FRUIT MARTINI WAS GREAT.
Sir Winston’s was above our expectations! The food was absolutely amazing and the portions were large. The staff took exceptional care of us and we could not be more pleased. We will dine here again in the future.
Always a special place to eat like first class royalty!
