    First of all my friend and I came there for a beautiful lunch. We both ordered the spicy chicken sandwich asked our server first if it was a chicken breast and she said yes it was when it came out we both started eating. Mine was very chewy. house was tough and she kept spitting it out, finally we both realized that it was not a white chicken breast. It was dark meat and a thigh. We called over the manager and she said it is definitely a thigh we do not use breast how disgusting for such an expensive restaurant she did compound meals which was very nice, but nobody uses thighs anymore and they should really reconsider that

    Overpriced but decent food, extremely loud even on a Tuesday night. We had to shout at each other over the table; felt more like a sports bar than a sit-down in a 5 star hotel.

    The service and the food were both excellent. Cleanliness: When we were seated, our chairs were covered in crumbs. One of our party exchanged his chair with one from a nearby table. Several tables around us had not been cleaned. Dining: The food took a long time to arrive, though, when it did, it was excellent. A member of our party ordered the Impossible burger. It is a double-decker burger with fresh greens, tomato, etc, but had no seasoning (salt or pepper) or sauces (ketchup, mayo, etc). All must be requested. Otherwise, good quality bread, vegetables, fries, pickles, etc.

    Thanksgiving three course meal was pre-plated and served cold. The first course was served before we had even received our drinks and each following course was served before we had even finished what we were eating. It was obvious our server was trying to rush our meal and get us out the door. Very disappointing for quality and service, especially considering the price and reputation of the Biltmore.

    It is a huge place and very busy on thanksgiving. We felt the service staff was under staffed. Our server was rushed and consequently had little interaction before she rushed off to take care of other folks. Food was very good, atmosphere was meh. Not inexpensive nor very overpriced. It is the Biltmore after all.

    Everything was great once we got started. We chose MacArthurs for our Thanksgiving dinner. We were seated promptly, but sat, unnoticed, for 15 minuites berfore I spoke to 2 servers at a nearby station. It seems that there was some shift change confusion, but it all worked out. The food from the price fixe dinner was very good, with enough on our plates to take home. Our server was kind and engaging and we enjoyed the experience immensely.

    We had a couple of salads, the BLT, & the fish tacos. All were fresh, hot (OK, the salads were cool) & tasty. The BLT was particularly good. The fish tacos were light & tasty without being hot or over seasoned to kill any flavor of the fish. David, our server, was spot on and had the perfect balance of attentiveness without feeling like he was hovering. Portions were ample but not excessive. The atmosphere was pleasant and open yet quiet enough to easily carry on a conversation at normal levels. You pay a bit of a premium to be eating at the Biltmore, but that is part of why you go here.

    Disappointed in the food, service and consequently the value. Entertained out of town guests and had to apologize for booking a restaurant we thought would be good, given the location at the Biltmore.

    Totally unremarkable food with exceptionally high prices. Would have expected better than this from a Astoria grand hotel. On the bright side, they cook hamburgers to desired temp. I ordered medium rare but the meat had no flavor. My dining companions ordered a Margarite pizza and a chicken salad. We also ordered banana brulee cheesecake & skillet cookie w/ ice cream. All three of us remarked at the lack of flavor (and thought to ourselves) that it was so expensive. Each one item lunch was in the middle $20's, the deserts were in the high teens. While it's not unusual for those type of costs these days...it IS unusual for that price on totally bland food with no ambiance.....

    It was an annual birthday dinner for me and a friend. In general, as successful business people withing to enjoy an evening out and not on some corporate expense account, i make the follow observations. PLEASE NOTE, we've loved the Biltmore for decades for its class and overall quality. this is just our thought for last night. Understanding current food costs etc, the price of regular drinks at ~ $20 seems to be getting high. The food was probably a 6-7 for such a nice place as this. First, for around $30, I would expect a nice 1/3 or 1/2 # burger. This truly seemed more like a 1/4 pounder from Burger King. It's nice to enjoy a burger for the great burger taste and not for an overwhelming presence of bun. The chicken sandwich was spicy enough and nice although the portion seemed small for the price. The Mac & Cheese... disappointing. A good mac and cheese, no matter what cheese used, should be nice and creamy. This was more of a gummy, sticky, glob of pasta - and as it cools it gets worse. It just didn't match up to expectations. Staff was good as always. Again, we love the facility, the food this time didn't match previous visits over the years. With improvements, we might recommend McArthur’s to friends. Ron

    We enjoy MacArthur’s but it has gotten way too expensive and the service is sub par. $32 for avocado toast with one egg (the menu says “eggs”). The one poached egg cost $6. A very basic $25 omelette of cheese and spinach. They put the pot of coffee on the table as if we were at a pancake house. Not the type of service I expect from Waldorf Astoria or at this prices. We are locals and used to enjoy this restaurant but it has gone overboard on price and service is terribly lacking.

    Ate here twice during my stay at the biltmore. Once for dinner and once for breakfast. For dinner we ended up sitting in the bar so we could watch the baseball game and had terrible service, basically inattentive wait staff. I assume this was maybe because we were in the bar. The next day we sat in the main dining room and had equally bad service but this time seemed like it was because they were under staffed. Dinner food was overpriced and not good, weird chicken in the sandwich. Breakfast food was much better!

    The service and the ambience were excellent!! I would suggest not having so many bakery items with nuts since many people have nut allergies. I would also suggest just having a choice of strawberries or blueberries as the waffle topping and to provide more fruit overall with the waffle. It would be wonderful to also have but free granola topping for the Acai bowl. We will definitely return as we love the ambience and the service at the Biltmore. The food arrived quickly, which we really appreciated! Overall, great experience!

    Beautiful setting in an historical architecture. Our waiter was attentive and gracious. The food was perfect. The fries were freshly made...not out of a frozen bag. A very special luncheon.

    We had the restaurant week menu and the sea bass and cookie and ice cream were fabulous! Service was spectacular. Went early so we didn’t get to enjoy the Atmosphere at night but anywhere in the Biltmore is fabulous. Took a stroll through the grounds and the updates are amazing!

    As long as you come in knowing you're going to be paying more than a standard restaurant, the experience will be great. The food was cooked perfectly, had wonder flavors and came out hot. Three things that doesn't happen at many restaurants. McArthur's is a great option for fairly casual, quality dining in a resort.

    The overall experience was great, but they needed to have my reservation from OpenTable, which almost gave me concern. The host was apologetic and quick to seat me and my wife anyway. The bartenders were quick to recommend a beer for me while I waited for my wife to arrive, and once seated, it was a smooth transition to our table. The waiter was knowledgeable of the menu and Thursday night food parings but equally adapted to the regular menu. A very pleasant and enjoyable meal and experience.
