Food and service was great
Unfourtanetly there was a table with very loud people and made the experience very negative
I had forgotten how much I missed French cuisine. Absolutely stunning on all fronts.
Wonderful night. Perfect for celebrating or an intimate date.
Delicious, creative courses.
Truly an exceptional experience. We were on a business trip for our company and chose the restaurant for its location and reviews. What a find!!!! From the moment we entered we were greeted as special clients , we felt so welcome. The decor was perfect and food was outstanding. Their wine choices were brilliant and they helped us pair with our food impeccably. We look forward to traveling to Chicago again to make another trip here.
Every time we travel to Chicago, we a point to dine at this wonderful restaurant
38th wedding Anniversary came on October 25, 2018
They returned again because of not just good, but great space and overwhelming great food for their palate.
Rochelle L has a 4 course dining experience, and Leonard E. added an additional course.
Each course left both of them wanting that to be a full meal... Yes, keep that course coming..
Hawaiian Ahi tuna tart, parmesan za’atar sable, confit tomato, zucchini, green beans, saffron sauce.
The favors were transferred with each bit. The Hawaiian Ali Tuna melted in your mouth, asking for one more piece.
Rochelle's Escargots, yellow tomato coulis, Roquefort cheese was enjoyed one snail at a time. The sauce the was surrounding the snails was supped up one by one, sometime accompanied by a crust of french bread.
The size of Rochelle Grilled Scottish Salmon, wild rice, cucumber and beet salad, eggless béarnaise was much larger then
Leonard's salmon in the previous course..
Leonard's Roasted duck breast and confit duck leg, Savoy cabbage, truffle corn purée, sauce Rouennaise.... make you him want more and just more ......
Grilled romaine, warm goat cheese salad, pomegranate, Honeycrisp apple, balsamic Caesar dressing was Leonard's 5th course.
One salad was teaser. They has to move on.
The service was well appointed for the evening and water glasses were never empty until the end....
Rochelle L. was well please with the selection for their anniversary....
Leonard E commented doing and after dining for 3-1/2 hours, they had not a care in the world.
The most classy, authentic French restaurant in Chicago. In an old townhouse in Streeterville. A Chicago gem for 40 years! Gentlemen must wear coats, although most choose a very nice suit. You will see absolutely no cell phones, or digital devices out on the tables. An oasis in a sea of loud restaurants.
The excellent food is matched with an exceptional wine list. Creative and competent cooking without any science experiments. A great escape from the ordinary, seems to be one of the last civilized restaurants around.
A dining experience
This is a poor choice if you are a vegetarian or pescetarian, as the menu is a $130 prix fixe, there are no veg entrées, and some of the fish options also contain meat. My boyfriend ordered the duck, which he said was the best duck entrée he had ever had, so I was sad to admit that I was barely choking down my Dover sole with brown butter and capers. The delicate fish had been accompanied by two meaty asparagus spears and a sauce that tasted like beef bullion cubes mixed with capers and soy sauce on top of a little pile of quinoa. The saltiness was overwhelming and the sauce was odorous. I lost my appetite for the dessert, an excellent lemon soufflé. Any type of water you choose there is bottled, and results in a $10 charge. The ambiance is lovely, but a party of six was having very loud conversation in that room, completely overpowering our dinner date for two.
Les Nomades exceeded our expectations of a culinary masterpiece! Brought me back to La Francais and Charlie Trotters in terms of meticulous attention to detail. The prix fix dinner at $145 was a great value, and the service was 5 star in every way. Highly recommend!!
The evening at this restaurant was truly transporting. It compared well in every way to world-class restaurants in Europe. Ambience was quiet, reserved, and elegant. Service was attentive and professional. The menu was innovative and beautifully presented, with ample portion sizes. Wine list offered a good range of choices. Finally, although all tasting menus at gastronomic restaurants tend to be expensive, this one was not over the top and was well worth the price.
Wonderful as always
This restaurant offers a magnificent dining experience like no other in the Midwest. Worth the drive and the wait to reserve a table. Call ahead for special requests.
Deliciosa la comida, no es un Restaurabte para niños .
As always great food and service. One of my favorites in chicago.
Food is always exquisite but pricey.quaint ambience.
Absolutely superb in every respect! One of the finest restaurants in Chicago!
We couldn't have asked for better food or service. And my husband and I love red Sancerre wine which they had on their menu. It is rare to find it anywhere in the U.S.
Amazing, creative food in a cozy, romantic environment. Portions are just right and our server was knowledgeable and professional. Always a special treat to dine at Les Nomads.
Les Nomades is a classic French restaurant set in an old brownstone in Mag Mile just East of Michigan Avenue. It is a very intimate atmosphere and the service is impeccable. It is quite expensive and has an extensive wine list. I hesitate to recommend this due to the richness of the classic French food and the price. My stomach did not fair well due to the rich food, although it was prepared well. If you are looking for a once in a lifetime old school experience, this is your place.
Wonderful as always
Mother daughter trip.
Amazing food, amazing drinks, definitely coming back. Service was leisurely at the beginning, which was fine because we were all chatting, but it took longer than I'd like to get menus and order. That being said, the food, once ordered, came out in quick succession. The portions are perfect, they expect you to have multiple courses, so the portions aren't very big. They add a few amuse-bouches as well which was lovely. They accommodated for dietary restrictions beautifully as well (we had a group that included vegetarians and vegans and all parties were well fed and happy with their food). Their desserts are delicious and beautiful. Les Nomades is well known for their soufflés, but actually, I would recommend their apple tart (with apple sorbet!) it was incredible (or get both like I did!). This is a great spot for special occasions or an anniversary because it is on the pricier side of things, but if you're willing to splurge, foodies: go to les nomades, you won't be disappointed!
Everything was wonderful but the food. We have been to Les Nomades a few times over the years
when we have been in Chicago. The atmosphere is still lovely, the service is terrific and the wine list amazing. The food, however, is tired. Almost every course was over cooked, over spiced or just stale. Even our dessert soufflés were off. One was overcooked, flat & chewy, the other had so much Grand Mariner inside that it was overpowering. I hope the restaurant sees this, revamps their menu & freshens
Absolutely the best we have experienced anywhere!
Honestly, every aspect of Le Nomades experience is excellent. Compared to other fine dining and steakhouse restaurants in Chicago, the cost of dining at Le Nomades is reasonable; diners can easily adjust the amount by what they order in food and drinks, but the experience will always be lovely.
May be the best restaurant in Chicago for a classic, elegant, and fantastic meal. Our personal favorite special-occasion restaurant.
Fantastic food however service was a bit rushed
One of our favorite restaurant in Chicago. The people are very professional, the food is excellent. The decor it's from an another time and maybe need to be update and more suitable to the outstanding food.
This was my first time to Les Nomades and it knocked my socks off. The ambiance, the food and the service was off the charts. I’ll definitely be back.
So delicious. Best seared foie gras in the city! Came here for our wedding anniversary and the restaurant staff was understated but warm. Very classy, old-world French restaurant.
Outstanding fine dining experience. A true special occasion restaurant.
Excellent french cuisine! Always perfect! Will keep coming back !
Unsurpassed at what they do
Superb all around.
Clearly the best restaurant in Chicago. Class act with dress code.
