   The atmosphere is wonderful especially on Friday nights when they have a live band starting at sunset. However, the food is not impressive and overpriced. It doesn’t even have good presentation. Our server wasn’t friendly… When we went to pay we said we live in San Jose because they offered a 20% discount that night to locals. He asked to see our green cards. We only had photos of them but he made us get up to go show his manager who then had us email them to her. The whole experience just made us feel weird. Overall- I would recommend going on a Friday night and sitting by the fire pit on the couches and just having drinks to watch the band. Or they have a taco truck out front on the weekend that looked good.

   With a great 5 piece band playing our favorites, great views over the harbor, El Ganzo was another great highlight of our trip.

   We were very disappointed with our experience of lunch at El Ganzo on Sunday. I had picked up a friend from the airport and wanted to treat him to a nice lunch at El Ganzo. I made a reservation and wasn’t aware of their brunch buffet which was at the very end when we arrived. We were still charged $80 for the buffet even though the food was all gone, we didn’t even get served water and had to ask for silverware. There was no acknowledgement from a staff person or management that we arrived at the very end of the buffet when the food was all gone. That would have been nice. I’ve stayed at El Ganzo before as I live in Todos Santos and I expected more from these guys. Unfortunately when places become more about the scene and less about quality of service it changes the entire experience and makes people feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. Not to mention $80 for food that was old and had been sitting out for hours. Not impressed this time.

   We enjoyed sitting outside and they were kind enough to bring us shawls when it got chilly. Service was a little slow but we had a nice time and we really liked the food!

   Only one waiter. The dishes are good but slightly overpriced. Great jazz duet though. The mezcal cocktails are awesome.

   The place has so much potential but fails. The setting is good. Fun to be overlooking the marina. We had two appetizers and shared a main course. The tuna sashimi was good but they tried to hard with a peanuts and mango mix-up splattered over the tuna. The Vietnamese roll very uninspired - awful.- lacked flavour and was just stuffed with sprouts. Seafood fettuccini was just plain bad. Luke warm, over cooked , pasty sauce (overly thickened). With not much seafood - a few shrimp (over cooked), 2 mussels and not much else that was identifiable. The service was ok, tried hard to make our evening pleasant. Tried this restaurant last year and was hopping they had improved. Nope. Will not try it again.

   The food is ridiculosly overpriced for its quality. This is a VERY NICE hotel, so its food should live up to the hotel’s standard, and, sadly, it doesn’t.

    Had reservations for Christmas eve with family and friends, when we arrived were told our 11 and 14 year old not allowed in restaurant because there was a bar, never was told it was a non kid friendly restaurant, they sent us away, on Christmas eve to find another place to eat, can you imagine, would give no stars if possible, so if you have children not the restaurant for you.

    It was an amazing dinner with my new wife. We are on our honeymoon and we found this amazing place! The maitra d was Jesus and he was most attentive. We enjoyed the cauliflower ceviche (sounds crazy but Amazing), the fish special which was the grouper and the Ganzo shrimp. The whole night was magical. Wine was exceptional.
