   Absolutely the WORST customer service experience I have ever had. After the server wasn't removing dishes from our table after food was delivered, we helped her by neatly stacking our dishes and placing them on a wine stand that was out of the way and not in use. The manager (who we hadn't seen all night) came by to scold us for over a minute for putting dishes on the wine holder, and insinuated that we were being Impatient with the server. I have never seen a manager behave that way. And then the server decided to treat us similarly for the rest of the meal. TERRIBLE experience. Jackie (the assistant manager) needs massive customer service training. Hope she gets it.

   Although showing early for reservations we had to wait and additionally people were seated not in order of who showed up and regardless of reservations. It was really disappointing especially when reservations were made a month out. I looked forward to the visit as this was recommended by many people. The food was worth waiting for and I would go back again. I would hope the reception hosts get there act together. JLP

   WE love La Grassa. It was a bit noisy, even more so than usual perhaps. We were a group of 5 and it was basically impossible to talk to anyone other than those next to you, even though we were at a round table. I love the music they play, but perhaps a bit lower on the volume so folks don't feel the need to yell.

   Absolutely wonderful. I would go back again in a heartbeat, and plan to! Great service and ambiance, and the food was so unique in the best possible way. Don't miss the calamarata with raw tuna...maybe doesn't sound that appealing, but it was heavenly.

   The food was excellent, and the small plates are great for sharing. The service was good, as well. Although we went for an early dinner so it wasn't too crowded, the close proximity of the tables makes for a very noisy atmosphere. The table of four seated next to us were less than 2 feet away, and they were so loud that it was hard to tune them out and have our own conversation.

   Way over rated and VERY disappointed. So ridiculously loud we literally had to shout across the table. Pulled pork bruschetta was ice cold out of the refrigerator and our waiter was horribly embarrassed and naturally didn't charge us. I would not go back or recommend to others. With so many great restaurants that have popped up in Minneapolis there is no need to return to BLG.

   LOVE LOVE LOVE. Everything about this restaurant is good, the place was beautiful. The food was amazing, I personally loved the Gnocchi with cauliflower and orange. I would highly recommend this place.

    Fresh pasta at its finest. Lobster and soft egg appetizer was wonderful. Cauliflower and gnocchi with orange was inventive and just right. Desserts were a bit disappointing.

    Food was spectacular. Notably the Soft Egg lobster Bruschetta, Orange Cauliflower Gnocchi, & Crispy salad. Service was competent however it took our service most of our meal to "warm up" to us. By the time dessert rolled around, he was more engaging. Brought our parents for their first time and they thought the food was quite the experience!

    Absolutley great food at good prices. The most memorial plates we tried were soft eggs with lobster, white anchovy with avocado and the gnocchi with cauliflower and orange. The restaurant tends to get loud and at this point the customers seemed to be there to say they've been there or be seen instead of being there for the food.

    Everything was fantastic! The restaurant was a bit loud for however, my only mild complaint. Staff was very helpful with suggestions and prompt service. Fabulous, going back!

    We love Bar La Grassa. The food is wonderful there and we are always happy with what we order. Timing is major strength there also as they wait to serve you food until you are through with the course in front of you.

    Bar La Grassa is without a doubt my favorite restaurant in the Twin Cities. I was there with out of town guests who said the meal was one of the best they have ever had. Always get the lobster with soft eggs bruschetta and this time tried the carpacio bruschetta also. i would highly recommend it-fabulous. Main courses were great-loved the gnocchi with cauliflower! I had the mushroom with tallegio angnelotti. It was superb. A great dining experience.

    The food was great and our server was extremely helpful in making suggestions for our first time there. I can't speak highly enough! Everything tasted great! It does however, share an unfortunate likeness to other great food spots in that it is unspeakably loud, and I mean you really can't have much of a conversation without shouting. Not sure why this has become such a feature of hip restaurants today. Maybe because people prefer to text rather than talk? Anyway, I would go back for the food in a heartbeat.

    I brought someone to Bar La Grassa who was visiting from India and wanted to treat her to one of our best restaurants. The food and the service lived-up to its reputation. It was outstanding. The noise level seems to have increased over time due to louder music in addition to its expected lively energy.

    Great food. Service a bit unattentive and not super knowledgeable but very friendly. Noise level was so high we left to have dessert elsewhere - too hard to shout all night.

    This was our second time at bar La Grassa (we went shortly after it opened) and the food is even better. Both pastas we ordered -- orecchiette with rabbit and foie gras tortellini -- were perfectly cooked and full of flavor and the scallops with gremolata that we shared was outstanding. Very casual and friendly staff.

    Excellent food, service and setting but punishingly loud. Four people could barely have a conversation. I have been there a few times but may not return because of the extreme noise level. Too bad, because it is a fabulous restaurant. I know loud restaurants are a trend but more and more people are discussing this as a huge negative in choosing a restaurant.

    This was our first visit to BLG - the reservation worked perfectly on a Thursday evening with a Twins game in progress nearby and we were seated immediately upon arrival. The service and servers were excellent - fast, responsive and very knowledgeable. The food was outstanding with only one choice of several less than extraordinarily good. The noise level was irritating and loud. Overall, I see why this restaurant has been and remains so popular.

    It was our first visit and it was wonderful. The couple we brought with us thanked us 3 times for finding this restaurant. The food was delicious and the staff was very helpful and knowledgeable in explaining the many choices we had.

    This was our second visit to BLG. We started off sharing three wonderful appetizers (lobster with soft eggs, ricotta pizzetta, and pork shoulder). This was followed by pasta dishes including fusilli with lamb meatballs, penne with shrimp, both of which were excellent, and foie gras filled tortellini. The tortellini were prepared in a salty-sweet Asian sauce with soy; nobody in our group enjoyed the tortellini dish. Perhaps we should have been warned of the unusual preparation at the time we ordered. Our pasta course was followed by coffee and delicious desserts including the caramel crepes, the mocha tort with latte ice cream and vanilla ice cream.

    We were a group of 8 there for a business dinner. We did family style and tasted just about everything. The food was fabulous, and the bill was far less than we anticipated. It was a little noisy for a meeting, but other than that a perfect spot. I will definitely make another reservation soon!

    This was a great experience. Next time I will have to make sure to leave more time. We had tickets to a show and had to leave before dessert. Overall, it took us almost an hour and a half to receive and eat dinner. The server was knowledgeable and helpful.

    Took my girlfriend here for her birthday because of recommendations online. We were early to our reservation, so we had a drink at the bar and the bartender was great, even giving us dinner recommendations. I was surprised the place was packed even though it was a Tuesday night, so very thankful we had reservations. Was seated at a half booth-half table which was fine and personal enough. The only downside was the place was loud. I almost had to shout across the table to have a conversation. The food on the other hand was incredible. The best pasta I have ever eaten hands down. I cant wait to go back, but I wont be expecting a quiet romantic evening. The food was worth the loudness though.

    Always fabulous. Always harder to get into without a reservation... The food is above reproach and while I might be looking for negatives, I never seem to find them here. Sure it's a little loud, but what would you expect from a place that is this small and this popular! The items on the menu we had that evening were spectacular! If I hadn't been so full, I might have ordered another "Soft Egg and Lobster Bruschetta" for dessert!

    A lovely location in the warehouse district made for a great setting. The menu was varied and unusual. The Confit of Artichoke Bruschetta was amazing, as was the Crab Ravioli and Fusili with Lamb Meatballs. We also ordered the Soft Eggs and Lobster Bruschetta, sadly the first try on this dish was badly over salted. Our server quickly and graciously had it made again and this time it was perfect. We were completely satisfied with this solution so well handled! When the bill came our server had removed the lobster dish from our check! Unexpected and greatly appreciated! We found the noise level a little on the strenuous side but did not allow it to impact our night! We will absolutely be back and recommend Bar La Grassa to all foodies!

    This place used to be much better. Seems to be on auto-pilot now. Food was OK, but no longer special or memorable. For how long it takes to get a reservation here, there are far better choices in the Twin Cities. Bummer, used to like this place.

    This restaurant is one of our favorites....great food at (fairly) reasonable prices. I would do something about the noise level - it's just too high. This last time we dined there six of us sat at a round booth and we could barely hear each other, which is an annoyance. Thank you.

    Creative food combinations, careful presentation and right-sized portion sizes all get my recommendation. Roasted Beet Salad and Crab Ravioli were delectable and I'd order them again. The place was jumping on Friday night at the nine o'clock hour. The team approach to taking care of diners was smooth and careful.
