This was one of the worst experiences I’ve had at a restaurant, to start we had a reservation for 7 at 7:45pm we got there but 2 in our party couldn’t make it I let the Indian man in the front know that and he told me he would let me know when a table is available after asking him why he informed me that because we changed party size then he told me that on other nights he would cancel me completely because I didn’t call to inform him, I asked to speak to a manager and he informed me that he was the manager, after about 20min he let me know my table was ready even tho there was tables openly ready the whole time, after being sat my cousin who is Black felt uncomfortable because after looking around the section we were sat was nothing but people of color walked out to see that on the main floor there were no people of color, it was made more apparent what was happening after another table was sat in the back with us that were Black and the young lady asked why it was that everyone in the back was colored and she left, I will never be returning here and I really hope if anyone of color has experienced this here speak up because this was horrible

We have never had a bad experience at Sorrento. The food was delicious, the service top notch, and the atmosphere romantic but relaxed. The stuffed mushrooms was especially outstanding last night, same with the sea bass and the salmon. Oh, and the pianist was very, very good! We probably overstayed at our table just to hear a few more songs.

Amazing food. Very romantic ambiance. Piano player was a nice touch. Perfect spot for an anniversary or birthday dinner date. Reminded me of the amazing seafood dinners I had in Amalfi. The Tiramisu was the best I've had outside of Italy.

Had not been to this lower Westheimer favorite since before COVID. It not only survived but got better! Excellent food, service and ambience. Nice having the live pianist with beautiful subtle music. Will definitely return.

This place met all expectations and exceeded them. Service and food were all exceptional and the value is very fair against comparable experiences. I have a single critique that is less related to the restaurant itself which should be addressed if possible. The entrance to this restaurant has an on ramp from Whitney street that is so steep that if you have any low to the ground car or with many normal cars, you will scrape the ground upon entrance and exit.

We had all the parents together for dinner. We were able to be accommodated in the wine room and made the evening extra special. All the servers were very attentive and made it feel like we were VIPs. The food and wine were delicious. They also had a live pianist playing both contemporary and classical music. It was a wonderful evening and everyone was impressed!! Thank you for making it such a great evening.

Poor service. Food was mediocre, only the calamari is something I would re-order. I got the lobster and truffle mushroom ravioli.. both 3/10 max. Their valet workers are very nice though, even going as far as opening the restaurant door for us, unfortunately, I won’t be coming back again.
