Great staff, food and atmosphere
The service was EXTREMELY slow, we were there for 2 hours and had food in front of us for maybe 30min of that time. The portions were tiny, the potato gnocchi came with about 5-6 small pieces and 2 huge slices of bread to make up for it. We left hungry, which seems ridiculous for an Italian restaurant. Nothing special about this place at all. It was nice and quite and relaxed.....because no one was there.
We had an excellent dinner. The food is very good. We always enjoy our experience when we visit Brodo.
Food was truly terrible. Just did not taste good, at all.
Busy place; one wait staff who had help; good food; good service; birthday dessert (tiramisu) was not all that good, but the meal itself and the salads were good. Will return.
ALways Top Notch!! Wonderful Food, Great Service, Love the Room!!!! ANdrew was Exceptional. Has That Rare Gift of Being Very Attentive without Hovering!!!!
Tried Brodo for the first time for my husband’s birthday. He loves Italian food and has a very discerning taste but he too was impressed. Best olive tapenade ever for our appetizer! I ordered lasagna- tasted like my grandma’s which is amazing. My husband had chicken parmigiana & commented on the high quality of meat & the noodles tasted like they were made from scratch. Not sure if they were but if he thought so, that’s good enough for me. Attentive friendly staff. We’ll be back!
Our four course meal at Brodo's was extraordinary. Each course was a work of art as well as being outstanding in tastes and textures. The menu is not lengthy but there were so many good and unusual choices that it was hard to decide. My wife and I looked at the menu again to decide on what entrees we would have the NEXT TIME we go to Brodo's. The servers were very professional, helpful, and attentative. The ambiance is casual, but comfortable. I would also like to try the bar area with a variety of appetizers in the late afternoon. For sure, Brodo's gets 5 stars!
Great service and food as usual
We love Brodo’s! The food is fresh and delicious! The service was impeccable! The mussels were amazing! We love the white wine sauce. The linguine was loaded with seafood and was sooo good! The steak was fork tender and full of flavor. We will definitely be going back!
One of our "go too" restaurants in Belmar. Can always count on good food.
We had a Groupon so we had an appetizer (fried mozzarella), two salads, two entrees (butternut squash ravioli and chicken marsala) and a dessert. The entire meal was very good and I would highly recommend this to everyone who wants good quality Italian food.
This was our second time at Brodo's. Happy Hour wasn't much to speak of other than a few dollars off appetizers and a few cheap drinks. Dinners were all just "OK" for the 4 of us. Caprese salad was OK but the additional chicken was very dry. The house ravioli tasted like it was store-bought and the sauce was nothing special - could have been from a jar. The linguini and pappardelle pasta dishes were better than the salad or ravioli entrees but all 4 of us agreed that we have many more options in the Denver area for good Italian so we likely won't be back to Brodo's. Disappointing overall.
We went on a Sunday night and it was pretty quiet when we first got there, but picked up by the time we left. Our waiter was fantastic, very low-key, and non-assuming, and we felt like he treated us the way he would want to be treated. Sundays are happy hour all day, so I had a mule and my husband an old fashioned and both were great. The food was very good. We started out with the mussels and they were delicious. Then I had the seafood with pasta and my husband had the steak. Both of them were tasty but needed a tad more salt, and there aren't salt shakers on the table. It wasn't enough to ask our waiter for salt, but it would be nice to have that option available. We had a wonderfully rich chocolate dessert that I normally wouldn't indulge in but oh my, I'm so glad I did. Overall we had a great time and will definitely go back to try more things.
This was our first time here, booked because we were in the neighborhood. What a great find! We hit happy hour, with very reasonable prices for good beer and wine. We each had pasta dishes which were excellent with portions that were just right, not too small or overly huge. Prices were $15 and $19, very reasonable. We will go back next time we are in that area.
It was great but it took a little longer than expected and the live music(which we love) was way too loud we couldn’t even think about what we were syainv
Excellent gluten free optipns. Very tasty food and good selection of wines. Great service!
Fair food, small menu, out of items we wanted to order. Just ok!
Made a reservation and when we arrived, it was closed for a wedding. Which is fine but don’t let people make reservations, if you’re going to be closed. I live across town, so it was a huge inconvenience to drive there and it’s clised.
My son came in from FL for his 35th birthday. Worst experience of my life! Seated at a 2 top by the kitchen door when several 4 tops were available the entire time and we had a reservation. The waitress CLEARLY HATES her job, she was rude and condescending. Didn't have the most popular whiskey, alternative was very overpriced. Waited for 15 minutes for ice which never came, had to go to the bar for my 2nd glass of wine. Entree was very small and very overpriced. I could go on but it's not worth my time. We asked for boxes for our entrees and ate them at home.
The food is great no matter whether you go for lunch or dinner. there are less people and quieter for lunch. As always, the service is great. All the same great dishes to choose from. I love the sausage and penne pasta. They serve fresh gluten free pasta that taste is fantastic.
I have dined at Brodo Italian Scratch Kitchen many times but unfortunately, on this particular Friday night, which also happened to be my birthday, it was packed and the wait for our entrees was unusually long. We recently brought friends there and everything was fine. Obviously, we like the food or we wouldn't keep returning there as much as we have but I have to say, if the wait continues to be as long as it was on my birthday, I don't think I will return in the future. One of the things that bothered me more than even the wait was I wanted parmesan cheese for my pasta and our server was almost impossible to find. I was so hungry from the long wait, I ate most of it without the parmesan cheese and that was disappointing. I truly hope they can solve this problem and Brodo will go back to the excellent service I was accustomed to .
Wait staff is totally disorganized. We waited over an hour for our main course. At one point a waiter came over and asked us if we wanted dessert before we even had received our main course.
This was our first time trying this restaurant. We arrived at 6:15 and was promptly seated. It took about 10 minutes for us to receive water and give our drink order. At that time we ordered our appetizer, our salads and our entrees. It was myself and my husband. We received our appetizer in a timely manner and our salads came shortly after we finished that. My salad was the wrong salad and they fixed that quickly. Then we waited and waited and waited. Our server came and filled our iced teas but no word was given on our entrees. They finally arrived at 8:10 over 45 minutes after we finished our salads. There was no apology or explanation as to why. It was treated as normal wait times. The food was OK but not stand out. Given the wait time, the lack of concern over that time, and that we could get better food elsewhere, we would not choose to return nor recommend.
All three of us loved our meals - all different from the nicely varied menu. Not too crowded when we arrived (5 PM) but quite busy when we left. Happy Hour menu / deals were good too.
Music on the patio was great.
Food was great! Service fantastic and a must for anyone!
Everything from the starter to the main, to the salad and desert was wonderful.
Awesome...kitchen is going through a transition but it was best meal we’ve had there!
Stopped there for happy hour with a friend and it was ok. Nothing to drive across town for.
This place is exceptional - the Italian sausage is so so good - you need more dishes to highlight this yummy sausage!
The food at Brodo’s was good and the service was excellent. It was a good overall experience and we will likely be back.
Very nice. Glad we went. Food the tagliatelle alfredo with chicken and mushrooms was delicious and the linguine with sausage fennel shrimp and calamari was so good and the service. was good. I'm sure we'll be back.
I have visited Brodo twice now & thoroughly enjoyed myself both times. The service was wonderful and the wait staff was very friendly. Good beer selection and I tried the Finny Lemonade cocktail; it was Delish! The kind of drink that could get you in trouble. Caprese & spinach salads were yummy. Tried several pasta dishes, the arancini with shrimp, hangar steak with mushroom orzo. All were amazing! Panacotta was also a perfect way to end our meal. I do have one small complaint, which is why I didn't give it 5 stars across the board. The chairs in the main dining area are just not comfortable. I haven't tried the high top tables or the bar seating just the main dining area. Chairs are just hard and shaped a bit funky. It was an unwanted distraction from one of the best dining experiences in the Denver area. I would definitely say go to Brodo, maybe try the high top tables or the bar or patio!
Great local neighborhood Italian food along with excellent service.
Great location in the Belmar area. Inside/outside seating. Portions on the small side but very good, if you like mussels, they are a must have. Our waitress recommended an excellent bottle of red to go with our meal. Only one issue, eggplant parm was tasteless.
Our daughter lives in BelMar and we love trying the restaurants in her neighborhood. This place is such a wonderful place. The vibe is great, causal yet nice enough for a special event. The food was absolutely delicious and we loved every single bite!
The chicken/mushroom pasta had good pasta & sauce, but very little chicken & mushrooms. The meatball pasta dish was good. The bread pudding was dry.
This is a nice neighborhood place. The food is well worth the price and the wine list is respectable. We loved the chicken pesto linguini special they had this weekend. We've been there several times and haven't been disappointed.
Good food and great service! The venue is modern and comfortable. It’s a great place to get together with friends.
