Interesting variety of food. One of their pizza's was recently (10/2018) ranked #3 on all of Long Island. We had it and loved it.

This is our go-to place for a locally sourced, organic meal. Our usual order is a seasonal salad and a margarita pie. A glass or two of wine and maybe one of the delicious desserts make for a great night. We recently popped in on a Saturday night and a very cool jazz band was playing. Turned out to be a perfect night - 100%

It seemed that there were 4 different things we ordered only to be told they were out of it, here's a novel idea, how about telling someone as they look at the menu exactly what you don't have, instead of hoping they don't order it. I also felt they were trying to be too many things to too many peoples dietary restrictions. either be vegan or don't, either be gluten free or don't. pick one.

Went with a friend who has limitation to what she can eat and I'm plant based, the menu offers easy to identify options with some that can be made vegan. They had some GF, Paleo friendly options. There is something for everyone here. Food was very tasty and menu changes. There was music on Friday, not overpowering, you could still hold a conversation without talking or screaming. Local beer options, fun decor. Would go again!

I love Wild Side. I used to go to West East Bistro in Hicksville where I live. Then they moved to Oakdale and I don’t mind the drive at all if I want good, authentic food with lots of flavors. The pizzas are amazing! My husband and I went on a date and they had live acoustic guitar playing. I ordered the ramen off the special menu which was delicious! Can’t wait to go back!

Had a reservation for 4 people. Got there and there was one table left with 3 chairs at it. Waitress went somewhere else and brought back some mismatched chair but no big deal, right? Sat down and I swear I thought the table had only one leg! The top was ready to fall off. It was so dangerous you couldn’t even put a drink in it. This obviously didn’t just happen and There was only one waitress for the whole place too. We wound up leaving after 2-3 minutes disgusted. Someone over there obviously doesn’t give a crap about their establishment. I mean come on, not enough chairs for your tables? Tables falling apart? Why pay 4 waiters/waitresses when one can kill her self? Told my friend the next day about it and he confirmed that he waited “forever” for his meal too. It’s a shame because they seemed to have an interesting menu, I hope they get their act together someday.

I went because I heard that they offered gluten free entrees, and they sure did!
They have AMAZING GF options and the restaurant is strong enough that non-GF people would love it as well.
I will definitely be back and I would recommend to everyone.

Found this place because my husband and I were looking for something close to a regional theatre that we were seeing a show at. This place has food from vegan to meat. I would say that a person would have to be a bit adventurous, as the combinations are quite creative. The restaurant is small, the tables are well spaced and the noise level was low. We met one half of the couple that owns the restaurant...she was very friendly and helpful as was our waitress.
The rice pudding that we shared for dessert was wonderful as were all the dishes that we sampled, including roasted cauliflower balls, a "porridge" featuring brown rice and Indian spices, ravioli stuffed with a mixture that featured peas. You see what I mean.
I would go back!

Good music, interesting menu...Service was not up to par...waitress was abrupt and
not inviting...was running around like a chicken without a head, was moving
chairs around and I was hit by one she was carrying as I was getting up to go
to bathroom...Look for another waitress!!!

Yes, they serve on paper plates. However, the quality of the food more than makes up for it. We ate al fresco because the weather was beautiful. Unfortunately, there's a lot of truck traffic on the street, so it was a bit noisy. As for the food...my friends and I shared some appetizers; cauliflower balls and beet salad. As I'm a vegan, they were very accommodating and put cheese on the side. Both dishes were tasty and fresh. We each ordered a personal, oven fire-roasted pizza. The crust was thin and crispy. Two friends had eggplant and one had Bianca. I ordered the vegan kale. We were all pleased and each took home half a pizza. We immediately decided that we would return for a future luncheon.

All these great reviews prompted my friends into trying this place. The place is dark and dingy. An outdated website left us disappointed immediately as we had already selected our meals. The majority of their menu is spicy which not everyone can do. Our orders were all mixed up and it took us forever, or never, to get things were asked for. We just gave up. There aren't that many tables there yet the staff seemed overwhelmed and unable to keep to the needs of their assigned tables. And, the food is way over priced. If you decide to try it, I hope you have a better experience.

Way too loud. Food (salmon) was not enjoyable, but other food was tasty. Pizza is excellent - the best thin crust I've ever had.
Dessert was not impressive, served in plastic cups. Coffee was served in paper cups. They need to get a dishwasher. Too expensive for anything but a special occasion, but not romantic enough for a special occasion.

We have been here several times before and loved the food and service. Unfortunately, although our server was nice, she got one order completely wrong (no we didn’t send it back-not our way). My salad wasn’t good. They took the best kale salad off the menu, and the cous cous salad was small and bland. We will not be heading back any time soon.

Been here many times and always had a great meal ok service but this time was a deal maker the service was terrible waited almost two hours for two pizzas my friends meal came 45 min before ours and we had three waitresses tell us three different stories.
Bottom line they care more about their take out orders then their reg customers . Not sure I’ll be seeing them for a long while.

Delicious vegan and vegetarian options but the band was annoyingly loud. The owner kindly asked the band to lower the volume. Acoustic musicians would be more appropriate to the setting.

WOW! WOW! WOW! Had dinner at Wild Side Bistro in Oakdale tonight. What a find!!! The food was so delicious, creative and flavorful! Everything is organic. Lots of vegetarian and vegan choices, but many fish and meat options too. We had these lamb balls that were so OUTSTANDING! They were a little spicy, cumin, turmeric, chili paste... beautifully presented too. Then we shared the chicken tikka masala pizza. You heard me right. Fantastic! Then we shared the mahi mahi in a coconut curry sauce. My only complaint is that you eat off of paper plates. Weird. But I’m definitely going back!

Cute little casual place in Oakdale. Food and drinks are so good with some nice healthier menu items. A lot of the food has an Indian feel with the spices that they use. I had a great mango tequila drink called the kissy yo mama. Superb. Kaitlin our waitress was great as well. Very knowledgeable about the menu and made some great recommendations. Can’t wait to be back

Went for dinner. Started out promising but two pizzas took more than 40 minutes to delivery, despite multiple assurances that they would "be out in a minute". That would be tolerable but we weren't offered a comp on drinks or an appetizer while sitting there waiting...and waiting... Pizzas were good once we got them.

Dining for 2 adults, 2 kids age 5 and 3. Order: kids burger with fries, cheese pizza, chicken tikka masala pizza, roasted baby eggplant with potatoes and Indian spices. Waitress forgot to “fire” the chicken tikka pizza and lied about it stating some nonsense about only having one pizza oven. There were 4 tables, two of which had their food and one who just placed their order. The manager apologized and told truth as to why food took FOREVER To come out. 2 of the 4 baby eggplant were undercooked: served in a small, deep bowl made in nearly impossible to cut the eggplant. Pizzas $15, $20 for entree. Chicken tikka was beautifully seasoned, delicious. Restaurant is a bit confusing as burger was served on a silver cafeteria type tray. Little things bothered me : server station was not stocked so waitress had to go into kitchen for silverware (reservation was 5:30 pm) and the artwork is leaning against the wall like someone just moved in and weren’t done decorating. Color scheme is cool. Bathrooms clean. Due to poor service with only 4 working tables, undercooked high priced dish, weird ambiance , and confusing concept will not go back. Too expensive. Too bad because the food is good. If you aren’t picky about service and properly cooked food, give it a go.
