Really like this place but feel that they could step it up a bit, but because they are the only game in that area that is more upscale, they don't. some things are fantastic, some are eh. the desserts are very yummy.
But very pretty place.
Lovely restaurant. Warm and inviting ambiance. Service was a little off in terms of coordinating the arrival of our entrees but it didn't detract from our overall enjoyment of the evening.
Seamless. Perfect service, delicious food, and totally relaxed.
My husband and I have been there twice and like the food and the ambiance. It's large, sprawling space, that's beautifully decorated but not too noisy. Service is attentive. It's also convenient to nearby theater, Landmark 57.
This was our first trip up to this new building. The food was
unusual and good and the setting was beautiful. Such a treat.
Lovely, beautiful new space. Enjoyed the very fresh, delicious food. Great wine list. Excellent baklava (nutty, dry and not overly sweet) dessert and special Ouisa tea.
Really lovely Greek restaurant! Modern, chic, beautiful atmosphere, and wonderful food!
Food is an interesting take on Mediterranean and l liked that they had small and medium plates the four of us could share. But I couldnt understand why with so many empty tables we had to wait for our order, for our wine to be opened, and for our check. The man who poured our water was the only one who was on top of our table.
Great food and service. Near landmark theater so pleasant evening. Fun ambiance.
clever, fresh and delicious new take on classic greek fare.
Very good place. Very good food. Sure i would come again
Great food. Very flavorful and fresh.
Have been 2x. Service and food was excellent both times. Beautiful decor including lighting fixtures, paintings, furnishings and dishes. This place is sparkling new and on the far west midtown otherwise it should be packed it is so nice. Great for large groups. Spacious, accommodated my reservation for 9 without a deposit — rare find in Manhattan. None of us lived near it but all found it a great place for weekend brunch because of the food, service, decor and hospitality.
There is a really nice movie theater NEXT DOOR. So, location led us to this place. We were delighted with the food & service. We had a nice variety of apps & medium plates including taramosalata, lamb+beef meatballs, the variety plate of savory pies, & grilled fish. Everything was excellent. The waiter was super helpful, especially with wine suggestions. Strongly recommend.
First time for brunch although I’ve had dinner several times. I had the hash with poached eggs and a friend had the hangar steak sandwich. We both loved our meals (and I’m very picky about poached eggs).
Service always attentive.
It’s slso down the block from the Landmark Theater and up the block from the Walton Hotel. Worth a visit!
great greek in hell's kitchen. brunch was awesome as was the coffee.
Great space. Vegetarian friendly menu. Staff is attentive
Very nice update on Greek/Med fresh fish, good spicing, and dish presentation. Reasonable pricing competent wait staff and active supervision by management. They didn't acknowledge my Open Table reservation, although I made one, and didn't at first seat me in a preferred area that I had requested.
Stylized Greek. No great chicken or fish options in my well traveled foodie opinion. If you love beef and lamb, you’re set. I don’t. The soup was a delight. Salads were visually appealing and of quality ingredients.
Great Greek food with an attentive staff and management.
Incredible. Highly recommend.
Good Contemporary Greek restaurant. Great fish of the day; dorade.
Convenient to Landmark movie theater. Worth the walk to far west side.
Service could’ve been better but somehow they didn’t seem to be on top of their usual game. Our server was very polite and courteous but I’m not sure the kitchen was cooperating with him. Our appetizer arrived fast (I’m the only one that had ordered one as the sever mentioned that my main my be small-ish) and the mains didn’t show up for a while. When we checked with another server they were on their way.
Everything else was great. We really enjoy the place and the food and will be back soon.
We went to Ousia for brunch so that’s the only menu I refer to. We had the gyro hash, Cretan flatbread, spinach crepe, and the French toast. We thoroughly enjoyed each dish. They had a twist to the traditional brunch items and sit it to perfection. We also tried some desserts and the Halvah mousse was hands down the best!!
My wife and I went there for dinner prior to seeing a film at the Landmark theater down the block. Our dining experience was very pleasurable. The staff was very engaging and helpful from the bar to a table. The menu is varied: there are Greek dishes, Italian dishes and general American fare. The prices are reasonable. If you're going to the theater near 57th and 12th, this is a marvelous oasis. Highly recommended.
Have been to Ousia multiple times for various occasions (brunch, light snack with friends, birthdays) and am always happy with the experience. The food is very good and is never too loud. It’s a bit pricey for the small portions, but the service is great!
Great ambiance, great service, but food was lacking in flavor.
It’s a good addition to the neighborhood and a good place to dine before going to the movies at The Landmark movie theatre.
Food was ok, great service
Great authentic sushi
Food was basically good. My appetizer of Octopus was meager and very salty. Main course of stuffed pepper was tasty and almond cake dessert was very good but baklava was dry. Service was excellent. Friend had appetizer of meatballs with cumin which looked very good. Salad served with fish was too salty. We liked fact that it was moderately quiet.
We were 4 people who all had excellent meals. Not a poor dish in the bunch. This is why Ousia is one of my favorites
I would go back. The ambience and service were great. The food was unbelievable.
Great service and staff. Very prompt and accommodating. Loved the meal presentation.
The space is amazing. But, the service lacked lack lustre.
We got there around 7 or before and didn't leave for 3.5 hour. That was a long time.
Our drinks took forever. When the drinks were brought over, one drink was missed. Had to ask for it.
The appetisers came out and Again, one item was missed and had to be asked for.
There was some sort of miscommunication between the staff. We were half way through eating dinner and I saw another staff member bring our dessert. There were exchanges between the staff and the guy with dessert huffed and puffed and went back
The dessert was dry and not the greatest.
I don't understand why it took so long and why things were missed. Since the restaurant was not busy.
I like and give good reviews. It really has to be not good for me to talk about it.
The food was delicious and the staff wonderful (although one member told us that dessert was not included on the restaurant week menu for lunch although it was on line- however our server knew better and he brought us dessert). They allowed us to sit for 2 hours undisturbed and could not have been nicer.
Lovely room as well.
Would love to return.
We love the Greek cuisine and Ousia did not disappoint.
We'll be back!
My Niece was in town. She is a Vegan so I wanted to make sure she had a great meal. Not just take her to a restaurant and hope she could find something on the menu. The food and service were great. To my surprise my meal was delicious and as a Non-Vegetarian/Vegan I will be back!
A solid restaurant with interesting food. Prices are a bit on the high side but overall a nice place for a quick dinner.
