   I cancelled my reservations to go to David’s because it shows on your online menu that you have a lobster roll on the menu. Unfortunately for me, you didn’t have that. I had to settle for a burger which I could of gotten anywhere. Very disappointing for your online menu to say you have something yet show up and not have it.

   Food was excellent! Everything ordered was as expected and delicious. It seemed like half of the entries had mushrooms, to which many of my party were not thrilled. Like many high end restaurants, most sides were Ala carte and added to the already inflated prices. Overall a tasty experience by all.

   From the moment we met ray and cherries we just knew it would be a memorable evening, professional,engaging and knowledgeable, from start to finish.the fin point is an absolute gem, amazing food and atmosphere and quality throughout. If your in Boston do not miss it.both my wife and I are here on a round the world trip for her birthday and eaten in some amazing places, ray you , your restaurant and your staff are up there with best .     I spent my kiddos’ winter break in the city and decided have a date night with my husband but picking this place was my worst mistake of the week. Me and my husband ordered cocktails before the dinner and came to the table 20 minutes later. It was Wednesday night, slow and short staffed. My table’s waiter was trying his best to cover the shortage of staff but the food was a total mess. I had a lamb shank my hubby had a steak and side with onion ring. My plate was just so awful… everything is overly salted, not seasoned, a bit of salad on the plate tasted only like vinegar+ salt. The lamb shank had no taste flavor except salt. I left more than half of this pricey plate and filled-up my belly with wine and fried onion ring. My husband steak was horrible too. He ordered rare but it wasn’t rare. It was torched on the surface not cooked as rare steak. He was sick the whole next day. Beautiful interior, nice staff, okay raw bar, so so wine list terrible food.

    The entire experience was fantastic. The food was delicious. Our server, Matteus (I'm probably butchering the spelling) was very friendly, efficient and welcoming. Super nice guy. Ray, the GM, was also a pleasure to meet.

    Did not realize if was a Hilton hotel restaurant - that was a negative as we thought for the $$$ we would be getting a nicer ambiance. Oysters were outstanding and dessert was good. All else was mediocre.

    We went here for Valentines Day. The service was outstanding, the food was amazing and the ambiance was great. We will definitely go back to this restaurant when back in town.

    We came in for our anniversary and got a quiet little table in the back. Our server, Cherry, was amazing! Great service and attention to detail. They even brought us dessert with mini espresso martinis to celebrate. Will be back and recommend to anyone.

    I took a long-term client to dinner and was very impressed. The oysters were delicious and the main course (a chicken dish) was excellent. Perfect for cold winter night. The atmosphere felt cozy. Service was good if not a little exuberant. It could be because we dined early and there were not too may people there yet.

    Fin Point was excellent. Went there on date night and had a lovely evening. The drinks were delicious and our server, Laura, went above and beyond. She made recommendations and was very attentive and charming The food was excellent- the short rib melted in your mouth and the whipped mashed potatoes felt light as a cloud. Dessert was also wonderful. Got to try the chocolate mousse and the gingerbread. They were both great.

    We were sat in a back corner of the restaurant where the lighting was so dim, we could barely see anything. The service was pretty slow and we were there for almost 3 hours with only one drink! Only reason I got a second was because there was a fly in my first drink that they took back. As for the food, the oysters were good and fresh. I got the cod for my meal which wasn’t bad, i thought it was pretty good but my friends got the steak which they felt was just too heavily seasoned with pepper. The fries were also too salty for everyone’s liking. Towards the end, because we were celebrating my birthday they did bring out two dessert samplers which was amazing! I thought it was a very nice gesture and had plenty for all 7 of us. Overall it was a good experience but could’ve been better!

    Was here for a late breakfast fir my daughter’s 16th birthday. Made some last minute additions to our party with no problems. Everyone’s meals were wonderful. They even brought out a chocolate mouse cake and lemon crème brûlée which were both spectacular! Would definitely recommend.

    I already can’t wait to go back. Both the food and service were wonderful. The food was excellent and unpretentious. The tuna tacos and the short rib entrée were great, meanwhile I still managed to question my decisions looking at my friends scallops. The service was on point and genuine, this was a meal that put enjoyment back into dining out for me.

    I was quite shocked to be “greeted” with the time limit for our reservation. We actually came early at 5pm and the place was 50% empty. Clearly if we were 6-8 people I might have understood but for 2 people if we don’t finish in 2 hours that’s quite unusual and frankly was unnecessary to mention. This is not the staff’s fault it’s clearly management and poor training. That being said, the food was outstanding and when we left (before 6:30) the place still was 40% empty so I’ll never understand why we got such an unwelcoming greeting. Food presentation excellent & cocktails were good. I only deducted 1 star for poor class in a higher end restaurant.

    Initial order was 2 mixed drinks, 18 oysters, lobster tail, a cup of clam chowder soup and a rack of Lamb. One of the drinks was mixed poorly and sent back (stuck with water rest of the night). Out of the entire food order, the rack of Lamb was the first item to arrive at the table, not exactly sure how that happens. The Lamb was cooked decently, however, it did appear to have been butchered incorrectly for there was more fat than meat on the chops. Not what is expected for the asking price. Service was decent as was the rest of the items upon their arrival. In my personal opinion, not worth the money when compared to the other options here locally.

    The service was great, and the food was presented beautifully and was very good. The appetizers were outstanding - fig burrata salad was the best. My group also had the crab cake, the squash soup, the calamari, the beef carpaccio - all of which were amazing. The lamb, salmon and scallops were all good main dishes, and the short rib was luscious. The one disappointment was my halibut, which was very plain, and the beet/honey coulis served with the dish was a pairing that did not work in my opinion. One of the people in our group was celebrating a birthday, and the special dessert was fabulous! I also note that it got very noisy in the restaurant by the time we were done eating....

    We were pleasantly surprised by coming across this hidden gem when searching for a place to try in Boston last weekend! It was lively and the place was decked out for Christmas. The food was amazing and the menu offers some great options. We had the Burrata salad, butternut squash soup and the crab cake for appetizers. All were amazing and flavorful. The Short Rib for an entree was excellent as well. Dessert and drinks, everything and anything, all great. Bummed I didn’t find out about this place sooner. I’ll be back for 1$ Oysters on the weekends!

    We walked in and you instantly feel the holiday spirit. We were there for a business lunch and immediately said we need to come back for cocktails another time. The food was great, but the server was quiet and timid. We had a food allergy and felt she was not very clear on it and one person did not eat an item due to low confidence in that item. The food was amazing, and I would go back again in a heartbeat!

    Such a disappointment. Second year on our annual trip to Boston, will not try a third. Made reservations a month in advance for Thanksgiving. Asked for high-top table in the bar or lounge seating. Upon arrival we were offered a high-top slammed up against a pillar, sharing a table for 8 with 5 others so dark one could not read the menu, or a table way down by the door-like the one where you’d sit the aunt or uncle no one wants to be near. Ordered drinks and a pre-fixed dinner appetizer. Watched one bartender chat up bar customers at her leisure while another appeared to be washing glasses while we waited for 15 minutes for our drink. Then our appetizer was served at the same time as the first course salad and soup. Fearing they’d rush out the main course, we asked the service be slowed a bit. The calamari was good, the butternut soup very good, the walnuts in the beet and spinach salad should have been toasted, and the salad was over-dressed. After a near half-hour we had to ask that our main courses be served. The roasted Brussels sprouts were soggy, the green beans were not crisp-tender, they were raw. A heap of mashed potatoes was covered with a rather thin slice of turkey with a small amount of gravy. Everything on the plate was barely warm. Whatever commercial bakery made the apple and pumpkin pies needs a refresher in crust. Cocktails and wine were reasonably priced but unfortunately we did not drink enough to dull the very disappointing meal. One high point was Michelle, our server who trudged back and forth the full length of the bar to our table with a smile and helpful attitude!

    I don't understand how why or when dining music turned into clubbing/dance music? The food and the staff were wonderful. We felt like walking away though because the music was WAY too loud and obnoxious for dining. Only because of the music would I not recommend Fin Point.
