We confirmed reservation the day of reservation upon receiving message. But when we arrived for dinner, Chez Mamou was dark and closed. Very disappointing since we were not notified by message and did not have reservations elsewhere. Sign in window now says closed for remodeling. Open Table or the restaurant should have notified us.

We were shocked to arrive at Chez Mamou to see it is closed for renovation! We had very little time to find another place to dine before getting to a concert on time. In the future I will have to call the restaurant to confirm my reservation made with Open Table.

We were so very disappointed when we reserved a table, got a confirmation and went to the restaurant only to find it closed and completely shut down. There were no notices as to why this closure had occurred. This is really unacceptable, and a poor reflection on both the restaurant and on Open Table. We cannot accurately rate this restaurant since we could not dine there.

We have been at and enjoyed this restaurant several times. We made a reservation on Open Table that was confirmed. Had a long walk, parking 3 blocks away. Regardless, we arrived only to see a large sign in the front window “Closed for renovations. See you soon! Angry is not even close to our reaction. Who is the dumb ___ that didn’t notify their reservation site and hasn’t anyone noticed this situation? 12 other parties had made reservations the same day! Made rating all around is a huge zero

I was able to make a reservation on OpenTable and when we arrived it was closed and appeared to have been closed for some time. Very disappointing and then I tried to cancel it and use open table to make a different reservation elsewhere wasn’t able to.

After carefully choosing Chez Mamou based on the menu for a special evening, driving 45 minutes to the restaurant, finding parking and feeding the meter, we arrived at our reservation time. It was closed! If Chez Mamou and Open Table are unable to communicate any better than this, perhaps they should not bother reopening. We were left trying to find another restaurant on a Saturday evening in Santa Fe at the last minute. Our “second” choice ended up costing us almost double to what we had planned to spend. Our special evening turned out to be a stressful, disastrous, and disappointing evening.

I have given this a bad review as when we arrived for our 7 pm reservation, the restaurant was closed. There were two other couples who arrived when we did who were equally surprised. They noted on their website that they were going yo be closed on Wednesday but this was Monday!

The lady who seated us was very curt but whatever, I’m sure she was busy. But then we waited for over 1/2 hr without even being brought water or menus, even though other people around us who were seated after us were already getting into their drinks the party ahead of us walked in without a reservation but got food before we even got water. It was rude, bordering on bizarre. The only thing I can think is that we had two kids with us (3 & 10) and perhaps we didn’t fit their typical customer. After nearly 45 min and 2 really hungry kids we picked up and left. My advice, if you like to roll the dice and have zero plans foe the rest of the day maybe you’ll have a great experience, or maybe you will be iced out as we were.

We did not dine here. When we arrived for our reservation it was closed. There was a note posted on the door that it would re-open the following day. We understand there was an unforeseen reason for this closure but a message via open table would have been appreciated.
