We sat at the bar and everything was outstanding. Food, ambience and attentiveness. It was a Sunday evening so I’m sure a bit quieter than a typical Friday or Saturday. Overall, a very nice experience.

We were seated right at the entrance of the restaurant, when there were free tables all around the restaurant. We asked to be moved but they stated that all tables were booked when there were free tables just down of us. They could have seated us there and cleaned the table we were sitting at. They were tables of two so it would have made no difference for the next party of two because they would still have a table reserved for them.

Great 1st experience at Sparrow this past weekend celebrating my marriage anniversary. The host was attentive and gave great recommendations for food (allergy friend options as well for our kiddo) and drinks. We brought our 5 year old along and he enjoyed the food just as much as we did. The restaurant also gave complimentary desserts for our anniversary including an extra vegan dessert to accommodate our little one’s allergies. Service was above and beyond…will definitely be back!

I had an incredible experience at Sparrow! We celebrated a birthday, and the staff went above and beyond to make it special. The food was exceptionally delicious, and the drinks were outstanding. I highly recommend this place, with a pleasant ambiance to top it off. Our server, who sported a fantastic mustache (although I can't recall his name), provided top-notch service. A 5-star dining experience!

Place is nice and service was good. Only food was very poor. For $18 we got over cooked toast and a little bit of avocado. When you thinking it’s not a cheap and at least what you are expecting to have a nice breakfast or lunch but looks like we picked a wrong place. Very disappointing. If you would like to have a drink, it’s a nice place. But for food I wouldn’t recommend.

It seems there's no point in making a reservation here, as we were kept waiting for over 30 minutes. The host is asking everyone to stay outside, and it's unclear who's in charge; the situation is quite chaotic.

Wait staff literally never around. When they were they were unhelpful and condescending. One order came out incorrectly and it took 15 minutes to fix while all our meals got cold. There was never an apology for the mistake. Menu was limited and we never knew what wasn’t available until it was ordered. Their substitute was a joke as it want an Italian meal. Overall a horrible experience

I have dined at Sparrow couple of times, all my past experiences have been good, attentive services, fast delivery food to the table. However, this last time, it was a Tuesday so not too busy, dine at the bar table, we waited for our main courses for over 1 hr, been asking for status, was told kitchen was a bit behind. When foods came, it was the simple pasta bolognese and branzino, tiny like portion of pasta was for $32 or so +, and the fish was $58! Service and portion not catching up for the pricing, and the wait…! Not coming back.

This was my second time there because food is great but amount of the pasta they serve in the dish is stand up comedy material for the price they charge.othe thing is parking. The guy told me we are full then he asked are you paying cash?. I have one spot for $30

Loved the restaurant overall. Great ambience good level of noise for conversation. Food was very good the appetizers and salads came out quickly. The wait time between appetizers and entrees was too long. 20 mins or so. Ice tea remained empty for quite some time. It was not refilled till I requested it. But I would return. It might have been a staffing issue in the kitchen, don’t know.

I was seated 20 min after I came in even though I had a reservation. Ordered 1 wine from the menu - the restaurant didn’t have it. Ordered another wine - the restaurant didn’t have it. Ordered an espresso martini - was very poorly made. The check was brought with a price of items being higher than the price on the menu.

First time visiting this place and it did not disappoint. Brought my girlfriend here for her birthday (she had also been eyeballing the restaurant for a while) and we both enjoyed everything starting with the ambiance, drinks, food and service. Our favorites dishes were the Bone Marrow stuffed pasta and Burrata Beet salad. We will definitely be coming back again.

The hostess took forever to find our reservation and assign our table. Then, our waitress forgot to place our entree order and didn’t even stopped at our table in more than 15 min to see if we needed anything. We asked for help to a server and she said she didn’t have access to our table so she couldn’t even communicate with the waiter 😂 when they brought our bill they charged us for something we didn’t consume. Server was incredibly rude and disrespectful, she wouldn’t even talk to us. Pizza was delicious. Best truffle pizza ever

This place could be better if the service, and the ambiance could be refined. There is such lack of attentiveness and awareness from the waiter. Our appetizer came before our drinks and we had to hunt our waiter down to check on our drink orders. We weren’t attended to upon seating and waited at least 15 mins before the waiter came to ask for our order. This is my second time here and I realize that it’s just not a good restaurant. The ambiance is nice in terms of the decor, but I don’t understand why there has to be club music in the background while you are eating. The decor doesn’t match the music and it ruins the vibe. The drinks were just okay, they are too sweet for my liking. The food was also just okay. I have had better Italian food that tasted more authentic. The second time around the service didn’t improve. This didn’t change my mind to want to return in the future.

Such a beautiful ambience that immediately transports you from the heart of buzzing downtown, to a luxurious vacation! Love the outside seating facing the pool. The cocktails are truly top of the line in terms of PRESENTATION and the flavors of the food are delectable!

We loved everrrything about Sparrow. The ambiance was lovely, the restaurant is beautiful, the food was amazing, and the cocktails were perfect. I was so happy I chose this place for my birthday dinner. Most places acknowledge that it’s your birthday but they didn’t, no big deal, but it’s always a nice touch and adds to the experience. We’d definitely visit again.

Stopped by here before attending a concert at Crypto and it did not disappoint. Tried at least 5 of their signature drinks, all amazing. The service was incredible. Seriously we had two waiters for whatever reason and they were just awesome. The rigatoni and the wagyu pizza were 10/10.

The Experience was terrible from the beginning. Lots of managers standing around & no hosts at the front to greet anyone while a long line of people we waiting to be seated. I received mixed messages from 2 different hosts. So I sat at the bar & waited for 30 minutes until they realized & then came to give me a table. Our server was nice but not the smartest. I ordered a pasta, a bone marrow dish & a bread for the table. When the food arrived they had sent out a pizza & I told the server we didn’t order this but if it was a mistake we would keep it just make sure to discount it. At the end of the meal he brought us a bill that was not correct so he went to get it adjusted & then wouldn’t show us the total bill & tried charging us for the pizza & an extra drink. I asked for the itemized bill but he refused. He insisted in arguing with me saying I ordered a drink I never received & I ordered the pizza I never order. Even the manager came to the table & verified the pizza was for another table but they made a mistake by bringing it to our table. I was becoming exhausted in arguing with this server so the manager tried helping. We tipped the server $20 total & trust me he’s lucky he got that. Such a terrible restaurant.

Wait staff is very good and checks on table. Recommendations on food choices was spot on. Great atmosphere but pricey drinks that are not strong - bar needs to be better with the pour. Pricey overall but this is DTLA.
