We had a great experience. The food was incredible and the service was great from everyone that worked there.
Always wonderful experience, food was terrific and service is always top notch
Great food! Great service! Definitely a go-to spot!
Outstanding ! Went for our anniversary. Staff was wonderful, from valet and hostess staff, to waiters and owners. Great table (except for the loud swearing from the two businessmen at the next table , nothing the restaurant can do about that , they were just fools and boorish, while oblivious to everyone around them). The crudos and Crustini’s were outstanding , they could be the whole meal . Pasta and fish were good and desserts great , but tough to top the starters. Great wine list and waiter brought us complimentary Vin Santo with dessert to honor our anniversary . Lovely place , people , food, wine and management (owner stopped by table as well to wish us well and to check in ) highly, highly recommend and these Bostonians will be back - with guests ! Thanks again .
Bar Mezzana was amazing! Awesome food and service. Loved the prosciutto wrapped dates and the arancini snacks. Great bottle of wine too. Will be back soon.
Food and staff superb. Hard to choose among items. We had crudo tasting. Excellent and good value. Truffle pasta exquisite and not as expensive as other places!
Terrific food, especially the fennel salad! We enjoyed the arancini as well.
Very good pasta and seafood (especially "crudo." Many small plate options.
Great service and fantastic food. — the pasta was one of the best I’ve had in a long time.
Price might be justified but it’s definitely not cheap.
Fantastic meal, start to finish. Great service. Crudo was the best I’ve ever had (we tried almost all of them). Very reasonable prices on both food and drink- cannot recommend highly enough
Lovely dinner in a relaxing atmosphere. Apps, small plates and full size meals makes sharing a variety of dishes fun. Service was excellent.
We enjoyed brunch on Sunday. Everything was amazing....food, service, ambiance. Thank you
We will be back!
Food was delicious as always. The server we had was NOT up to previous servers we had in the past.
We had a really great experience. Enjoyed the meal and beverages.
I got very ill after eating crudo there. The fish smelled a bit off, but I ate it anyway. I ended up in ER all night.
Both the food and our waiter were absolutely terrific. We plan to go back soon.
Food and service were excellent. Nice wine list. An unrushed meal.
I can't say enough about this restaurant. We had a wonderful experience. The food was excellent, the restaurant is beautiful and the service was excellent. Valet parking made it extremely convenient.
Can't wait to go back.
Exceptionally friendly staff from the Hostess to the guy filling water glasses. Recommend the crudo tasting. Pasta perfectly al dente.
Love this place! One of our Boston favorites. Always inventive and fresh. Don't miss the crudo!
Wines were not paired adequately and not good enough quality to make justice to the food ( that was wonderful) .
Soanudg octopus plate was very good as was the skirt steak entree. The crudo was really not very tasty. We ordered several different crudo plates and none were good. Different experience than the first time we came here when first opened
Service forgot multiple drinks, and food items. Never came over to check on us, instead brought the check and said they bought a round of drinks, some we never received.
Great place with a really nice vibe! Food is delicious, and the staff is very friendly. Highly recommend!
Trendy restaurant with a good vibe and great food. It’s small so the noise level is pretty high but that to me was the only downfall.
We celebrated a special birthday at Bar Mezzana. Upon arriving, we were immediately greeted and shown to our table. We were pleased to have a roomy corner table with nice privacy from the adjacent diners. The service here is A+. Our server was always checking in and was very informative about the menu and wine choices, but never rushed us through our meal. We ordered a variety of small plates to share, followed by our entree's and dessert. Everyone was pleased with the meal. Would recommend for any occasion, not just a special one.
One of the best restaurants I’ve ever had the pleasure of dining in. Really. I was knocked out by it. Fantastic find in a new neighborhood in Boston; we were just there for the weekend so to get there again will require a special trip. But it would be worth it. The chicken, octopus, and pastas were amazing. So delighted to have found this.
Food was very good - white bean crostini, Spanish octopus, and lobster pasta were all amazing. The arancini is small, but delicious. The service was okay. A bit slow, but then rushed us through courses to bring out the next one. When we asked what they recommended/to review the menu, our server told us it was spelled out on the menu pretty well. My biggest complaint was that we all ordered decaf coffee to finish the meal, and what we received (we all did not learn until 1am) was NOT decaf coffee. An annoying inconvenience, but also a health concern. I'm pregnant and am limited to how much caffeine I can consume. On top of the caffeine keeping me up in the middle of the night, the anxiety was there too.
Bat Mezzana never fails to impress. The food is always very tasty and executed well. The crostini and the Negroni variants they always have on the menu are my go-to.
The staff is extremely friendly, well versed in both their food and wine selections. The bar team is very amicable and their drink knowledge exceeds most standard restaurants.
I highly recommend bar mezzana compared to any other restaurant in the area!
This is by far one of the best Italian inspired restaurants in Boston! If you want incredibly delicious food and amazing wine, you have to come here. Perfect quality food for a fair price with a cool atmosphere. This place is always 5-stars!
Excellent service and the food was very good, especially the orichietti pasta dish. Also very nice to get good bread and evoo prior to meal
Our group tried the crudo sampler, French toast, pork belly hash, and fusilli for brunch. Everything was delicious, and the handmade pasta was definitely the highlight. Only downside was slow + inattentive service (forgivable when a restaurant is slammed, but it was only about half full. Our server didn't have many tables, either.). The food quality made up for those issues, and we'd like to come back some time for dinner!
Tasting menu is the BEST!! Can’t say enough great things about this restaurant - fabulous food, wonderful wine list, superb service and fun ambiance. You will love it!
Portion sizes not too big and pasta dishes were delicious
Food was excellent but service was very slow. We ordered everything within the first 5 minutes. Drinks and apps came out pretty quickly, but an hour later they told me that they were out of the entree I had ordered (and 2 others). Not a problem, but I was expecting the food to come then! It was another 20 minutes until food arrived.
They sent an extra dessert as an apology, but I would have preferred quicker service overall (not their fault that they were out of the entree). That being said, everything we had was delicious, so, if you’re not in a time crunch, I would definitely recommend.
We were visiting from out of town and wanted to celebrate our anniversary. Saw it on a Best of Boston list. Looked interesting and reasonably priced. Met our expectations and then some. Both the hangar steak and mushroom fettuccine were excellent. So was the beet salad we shared as a first course. The waiter offered wine suggestions that complemented our entrees very nicely. Other than the high noise level and a gelato for dessert that had an icy texture and camebup short on flavor, it was a perfect evening.
We had dinner at Bar Mezzana while in Boston with my son visiting a college. We were in walking distance from our hotel. The food and service were both excellent.
Wonderful experience and cuisine. The prosciutto wrapped dates are delicious. Be sure to order a few small plates for a larger group.
Dined with my husband here for my birthday. Lovely food, and when the waitress realized it was my birthday she had the kitchen send out their ricotta pound cake as an extra dessert. Loved every bite we ate!
