   The ambience of the restaurant was fabulous, the music excellent, the service was very good, and the food was impeccably delicious. We will certainly return the next time we are in New York City. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

   Food is wonderful. If you are a whisky drinker this is the place to go. However, service was not great. Our waiter never came back without us hailing him down.

   Fabulous decor, nicely done. Live music was an added bonus. The scallop appetizer was very good, the crab cake appetizer was nice, the sauces were excellent. The Porter House steak was OK, we wouldn't get it again. Great Hazelnut dessert.

   Great place, but they gave us a terrible seating location. Couldnt see the band. The shrimp appetizer was a joke. 8 dollars per cold shrimp was robbery. We had a few vegetarians in our party, the online menu had a few different veg options but this evening they decided to give us a shortened menu with only one option. Oysters were good and so were the cocktails

   We went for Saturday evening music and light fare. Our reservation was for the lounge, where we couldn’t see the band but could hear them just fine. The food, cocktails and service were great, as was the music. Half way through our meal a very loud group of six was sat near us in the lounge making it impossible for us to hear the band or ourselves for that matter. We asked our server if we could move to the bar in the front room, however it was full, as the other patrons in the lounge had moved there due to the noise level. We chose to leave before the band’s second set, but definitely would have stayed otherwise. We would definitely recommend Fine & Rare, however, if you are going to hear music, would suggest getting a table in the front room or sitting at the bar.

    Repeat visit to nice restaurant with great jazz music. Only issue is the close proximity to other guests, which I guess is understandable on a busy night; however, it was hard to enjoy the music with loud conversations being had a shoulder away. It was great as it got to be later in the evening and we could finally hear the music.

    It was our first time here and we loved everything about the place. The live jazz, ambiance, beautiful decor, delicious food, and wonderful service. We were given a booth with a direct view of the band, which was a special touch. Thank you to the team for making our first time there (and taking our friends from LA out) so fun!

    This was such a great jumping off point for our vacation. The food was excellent but the best part was the ambiance. There were multiple bands that played which made it “dinner and a show”!

    Have wanted to visit for sometime.Beautiful decor and ambiance. Staff were attentive and friendly. The music was a perfect accompaniment. Loved the drink selection. I enjoyed the bourbon special drink and my husband loved the Split Decision. His steak was done perfectly and succulent. My Lobster Ravioli disappointed though. The highlight was our dessert The Sphere- a ganache covered orb of scrumptious chocolate filled with vanilla ice cream and cake. Delicious

    Very nice spot. We had a reservation, but most people stood behind after dinner to enjoy the live band and ambience, so we were not seated until about 30mins later. The male hostess was so sweet, he gave us options to either sit in the back lounge or upfront by the fire place on cozy couches, so we sat on the cozy couches until our table was ready. It was crowded and tight in the place, but overall very eclectic and romantic. The food was delicious, but the portions were incredibly small and each entrée costs at least $30 or more -- which no big deal. You pay for the experience and area I guess. I would definitely go back just for a few cocktails and the live band.

    Loved It! If you’re in Manhattan you HAVE to experience Fine and Rare. The food , the atmosphere, the entertainment and the hospitality was amazing. 10/10 Will definitely return.

    We had a drink at the bar prior to being seated at our table. Our cocktails were amazing! The Garden of Eden was just superb! We then were seated by the fireplace with a great view of the stage. Beautiful ambience and enjoyable entertainment! Our server was terrific! We enjoyed sharing the cheeseboard and also both enjoyed our entrees!! We weren’t blown away by the dessert, but really probably didn’t need the dessert since the portions were sizable. We would love to come back with friends next time!!

    I can’t think of a more romantic restaurant. There is attention to detail in every aspect. Great cocktails—they nerded out with me about Manhattans. The Red snapper was better than any I’ve had in New Orleans. Finished with the showstopper chocolate dessert The Fine & Rare Sphere. Just a fabulous experience.

    I came for dinner with 3 of my friends for a girls night out, and we had so much fun! The food was delicious and the live music / ambiance was fantastic!! I had the gnocchi and it was a shareable sized portion, and we split brussel sprouts and truffle fries for an appetizer- highly recommend!

    Such a hidden gem in the city! My friend and I were looking for a Midtown Restaurant Week menu to check out and Fine and Rare did not disappoint. From the ambience to the food to the live music, it was a great vibe and we really enjoyed our meal here. This would be a great spot for a date or group dinner. The live music does get a little loud, so if you're looking for a quieter spot come earlier in the night.
