Très créatif. Excellente expérience.
It's a once in a lifetime experience! Everything about Momofuku Ko was perfect! From the food to the drink pairing, presentation, music and staff, we were blown away. The staff was extremely friendly, energetic and knowledgeable, making the experience that much better. We would highly recommend!
I was most impressed with the Originality of the recipes involved in each dish. I also was totally blown away at how spot on the wine and tea pairings with each course were for me. Very attentive to details here. Exquisite sensibility to Mel flavours together sensibly and creatively. Very unique meal, multiple courses was nicel times. Server was sincerely interested in my liking my experience overall. Which I loved!
One of the best meals and experiences with some of the best staff in a restaurant I’ve ever encountered! Couldn’t recommend it enough!
This was one of the best dining experiences I have had for a long time.
Everything was superb! Thank you
Worth every penny and beyond the hype. Counter seating is amazing because you get to watch preparation and chat with the team.
This time we celebrated a birthday and wanted to him to experience something different and unique. The entrance was different from the last time we dined here about 2 years ago. The counter seating had enough space not to be over crowded, but enough space not to be on top of the chefs. I enjoyed most of the dishes and always happy to hear chef explain what was served. The interaction with the chef was good, but I think I would like more interaction, but that is me. Part of the experience is to learn how they sourced the foods. I do like when they explain how something is prepared. 2 ingredients that surprised me was with a dish that had shaved frozen fois gras and the other dish with wild rice ice cream. It amazes me how much food is served and I would love more of a particular dish, but there is a progression to be had, and unfortunately, eating one dish too much can impact the next dish. Overall, I would definitely visit again!
Food was okay but
amazing food, cocktails, wine and staff super friendly!
Incredible! Must try in NYC. Thanks for a great time.
Good Restaurant, very good food, good drinks. Too expensive for serving what they serve.
The food was really good thats the fact but for 500 dollars is too much.
I've been to many New York Michelin starred restaurants with expensive tasting menus -- Eleven Madison, Chef's Table at Brooklyn Fare, Le Bernadin -- and never have I had dishes that were truly not delicious. Of the 10 courses at Ko, a solid 50% were not good. My date literally didn't eat two of them. The main course, dry aged lamb, was tough to the point of inedible and what's worse you can watch them cooking and making mistakes. Our lamb was left to rest, usually a 5-10 minute process, for over an hour. It ended up rubbery and flavorless. When paying $350 for a meal, before drinks, that's unacceptable. Of the things we ate only two were memorable -- a smoked egg and caviar dish that David Chang over a decade ago -- and a marmelade tart with cheese. That's it. The rest were, at best, fine. I will never return and would never recommend this restaurant. There are options for 1/3 the price -- I'd suggest Contra -- that are twice or three times as good.
Nothing short of a top-tier culinary experience. David Chang outdoes himself with the Ko version of his Momofuku franchise. 14 courses of incredibly creative and impeccably executed dishes. My personal favorite was the first of the dessert courses: foie gras, lychee and riesling jelly in a graham crisp cup, covered in grated foie. Unexpected and delightful explosion of flavour in your mouth.
The staff are top notch and clearly well-trained. Throughout the service, you are witness to the true meaning of teamwork, from the chefs behind the counter to the bus staff filling your water and taking away your dishes. The consistent service delivery and the attention to detail were astounding, I cannot compliment the team enough.
Congratulations guys on delivering an incredible experience, as much in the kitchen as in the dining room (counter). Keep up the great work!
Inventive food, lovely staff. The setting -sitting at the counter watching the chefs work is amazing fun. A really wonderful experience for a special occasion.
Everything is nice.......
An perfect experience of dinning
literally mind blown, flavors I never could have imagine.
Unfreakingbelievable. Worth every pretty penny
Super super friendly and welcoming experience, better then almost all the counter seat experience I have ever had. Definitely will come back with friends. Ps: music choices are bomb, want their playlists! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Beyond Expectations. We wrapped up watching all episodes of Ugly Delicious through Netflix. Generally, too much-marketed restaurants have disappointed us. but, I cautiously chose Momofuku Ko for my husband's birthday, and We both enjoyed the full-package of Gastronomy. Especially I was impressed by the experimental and unconventional approaches to integrate Western & Eastern ingredients and how to push the boundaries on Culinary Art. My favorites are Grilled Scallops, floating in Basil soup with Pineapple flavor (Genius! See photo) and Eggplant pudding with Chocolate & Shi chuan style- Black bean source (Innovative! ) For every epicure like my husband, Momofuku ko is one of restaurants where you must eat BEFORE YOU DIE.
Excellent food and service!
This is a Destination restaurant. The prix fixe tasting menu at the bar with drink pairing was one of the most spectular culinary dining tasting experiences I've ever encountered. Each tasting is masterfully created. Nothing overpowering or overcooked--subtle, yet amazing. Every bite worth slowly savoring and appreciating. I flew from Seattle to NYC to see one play and have this dining experience, and I must say, Ko is a worthy destination onto itself. This is a splurge---nearly $500 for the dinner and paired tastings--so be prepared ahead of time for this --even if you can only afford to to this once in a lifetime. If you appreciate the exquisite food preparation, you won't be disappointed.
Started at the bar, and enjoyed a cocktail and the cold fried chicken. All staff, management, and chefs were very courteous and hospitable. The tasting menu and beverage pairing did not disappoint. A very memorable experience.
Always a pleasure to dine here. My wife and I love spending anniversaries here
The most amazing meal we've ever had. The thought that went into every dish was spectacular; each bite was an explosion of creativity and freshness. Waiters and chefs paid attention to every action we took and wanted to make sure we were happy and pleased, willing to adjust for us at any moment. It was truly a divine evening. We had counter seating that allowed us the amazing experience of watching chefs make our food in front of us. We can't believe we had such a fabulous, thoughtful, delightful meal and we can't stop talking about it to our family and friends! Bravo and thank you. We will be back!
It was pretty amazing and well worth the price. Tip is included in the $255. I've been to two of the other Momofuku restaurants and this is by far my favorite one. Every dish was delicious and the service was excellent. I look forward to coming back with friends. I was served around 11 courses and each one was staged so that my palate was not overwhelmed. I tried things I'd never had before (sea urchin and lobster crudo) and discovered that I'm fan.
It was the best tasting menu
Amazing dining experience with delicious food and excellent service
One of the best dining experiences of our lives. The service and food were perfect. Can’t think of anything that would make this place better. HIGHLY recommend!
Without a doubt, the best meal of my life. Impeccable service too. 100% worth it.
I can not say enough great things about our experience! It would be a 9.8/10 with the only minor return of feedback referring to the wine pairing - while wonderful beverages were selected, the portion control was miserly and left you feeling like you had a thimbleful of a tasting. But even that could not mar the extremely fabulous experience. I can still recite the entire menu of 12 plates as each dish was so distinct and the combinations of flavors was new and fresh. The staff were beyond professional and highly capable. An unparalleled dining experience even in NYC that walked all over The French Laundry!!
Good food, service but the price is really a way to high. We paid near a 1k for a dinner for two. Come to Montreal and you will get the same even better for 350-400$
This was mind blowingly great with tremendous originality. An extraordinary experience.
Great food & Great team, very knowledgeable without arrogance.
Amazing meal at Ko. Service is excellent, you’ll feel like there’s one staff per one customer.
The food was sublime. It drips creativity and lives as a gorgeous extrapolation of the ‘high-end’ meets ‘low-end’ credo that made David Chang’s restaurants famous. In two Michelin star-land, the talented chefs expand this philosophy by smashing together more disparate flavors and executing more delicate textures and preparations. Some highlights: A fried chicken oyster with caviar that might skew predictable but the combination proves to capture just the right amount of 3am fridge-lit magic to transcend. A unimpressive-looking bowl of smashed tomatoes, broken rice with dollops of Uní knocked every one of us off our feet. The chefs are brilliant to pair the complex umami sweetness in the Catalonian-inspired smashed tomatoes with the similar umami profile of the uni. Over a bed of texturized broken rice, it felt indulgent, new and somehow like something we always knew. The service set a new personal bar for me as to how good it could be. We traveled with my pregnant wife and they made accomodating her food restrictions seem more like a creative challenge than a nuisance. We continued to have a discussion as the meal progressed and it felt like they wanted to make sure she was comfortable with every decision. The substitutions were so brilliant they often met or surpassed the brilliance of the traditional dish. Bravo to the Ko team for their humble brilliance and welcoming spirit.
Easily one of the best current options in New York.
Tasting menu is amazing. Great execution and really creative plates.
This was quite the experience. Everything was delicious with surprise after surprise. I wish there were some items we could re-order a la cart!
A memorable experience. The food was exceptionally creative and delicious. The service and presentation were wonderful. It’s expensive but worth it.
