   I’m a dessert lover so was excited to see the tables around us be brought special occasion desserts after their meal. Considering it was our anniversary and the hostess asked about it when checking in, I expected a little surprise after dinner so we didn’t order dessert. But the bill came and no acknowledgement of our anniversary. I was full from dinner but still, I felt sad to have no special dessert. 😩

   Acre is an amazing experience. The grounds are an amazing jungle with a mid modern and contemporary luxury feel. The service was excellent, and they look to make the experience special. The food was amazing, and cheddar biskets, burrata salad, and brussel sprouts to start were all outstanding. The mains were a good portion size and savory. Could not have had a better meal. 5 stars

   I love this restaurant and was excited to share it with my foodie friends. I was disappointed that service was slow. The server was kind and semi- attentive, but neverreally checked on how the food was. The caesar salad was a huge portion , but over dressed. It was still deliscious, but with far too much dressing. we all ordered the rigatoni with bolognese. It was al dente to a fault unfortunately. And it was warm, not hot . We asked for red pepper flakes and they arrived quite a bit later. The wine was amazing and the prices were fair. I love the atmosphere, the values and experience , it was the first time I was disappointed in the meal.

   This was my 3rd time at Acre. The first time was just simply amazing. The food was delicious, but I noticed the music was more like “house modern music” last night they had a band, it was awesome, light background music so you can still have a intimate conversation. The food was amazing. We had the appetizer and the Caesar salad. The meatballs were incredible. I also have the short rib raised beef, so tender. The service was incredible. Everyone there takes their job so serious, which I absolutely love compared to the Californians, Bay Area. A manager came over and talked to us for quite some time. I absolutely love this place and can’t wait to go back next time I come to Cabo San Jose.

   Excellent service and beautiful setting - those, along with the cheddar biscuit - were the only positive attributes. The tomato tartar - you could not taste tomato - only the overpowering flavor of dried tomatoes, the Cesar salad was limp and somehow needed salt - even with the Parm, and the waygu tacos...why would you braise waygu? It tasted like leftover pot roast! The shrimp pasta was bland and the fish dish - was supposed to be crispy skin - but was served skin side down with a sauce on top - a soggy mess - and the fish had the bloodline...yuck! We cannot believe this restaurant has a Michelin star and if Michelin attended with the current menu, we believe there would be no stars at all.

   Great place! Unique experience with excellent food and service! They have a green Michelin star for sustainability. Walk the property to see their mango grove and farm, including adorable puppies up for adoption. The property is gorgeous!

   The waiter added a US$50 charge to our bill when we had only ordered an $8 glass of wine (the erroneous charge, it turned out, was for a bottle of wine). The restaurant engaged in HUGE deception by not showing any description of the erroneous charge - just a plain line entry for 1,050 pesos. If I hadn’t paid close attention to the bill, I might have just paid it. The charge was readily removed when I questioned it - oh, a new employee didn’t know what they were doing - but it was pretty disgraceful. Especially for a restaurant charging the prices they do. And disgraceful customer service: they didn’t even comp us the $8 glass of wine to compensate for trying to rip us off. Why there was no line description for the 1,050 peso charge was pure deceit and deception. It is a very impressive restaurant and grounds, visually, and the food was decent, but we won’t be going back, and can’t recommend it.

   Biscuits- delicious Brussels- a bit too saucy Burrata & Tomatoes- excellent Kampachi - good, but petite portion Chicken- delicious Risotto- a bit bland ——————————————— Energy and atmosphere was stellar, as usual. Service was attentive. I feel that the menu was a bit limited this time.

    This was our 3rd visit to Acre. A consistent highlight of our trips to Cabo. Enchanting setting, superb bar + cocktails, excellent food, terrific service.
