4 adults & 2 children aged 9 & 11. Kids meals very basic especially the sausage roll! one sausage in dry 4" piece of baguette with small pot of chips on the side. staff hadn't a clue of the website offers or when it came to the bill, the advertised pie & pint for £22 was charged out separately, as were the kids meals although advertised as 'Kids eat free'. It took three goes to get the bill near to what it should have been. When I got home I added it up again to find they still owe me £4.50! I feel gutted, as I should have refused to pay the discretionary service charge of 10% (which after three attempts was still based on the original overcharge). Its a shame as we used to go to the woolpack often under the previous owners with no problems. Ferry Inn hear we come.

One of our favourite pubs - we always have delicious and interesting food and friendly efficient service. This was a visit on Steak Night for my husband’s birthday. All four of us had a delicious steak cooked perfectly as requested, really crispy chips and great onion rings. Simple food superbly done . The staff were fun, friendly and charming and remembered to wish him happy birthday! Highly recommended.

Good food and reasonable prices. The service was generally good, but lacked the friendly interaction. Unfortunately, the restaurant was quite warm for us and my chunky chips were slightly underdone, hence the 4stars. Will definitely go back when next in the area, as the food was good.

Excellent pub restaurant. Good food with well cooked local ingredients. Good service, great setting and environment. Didn’t try the drinks but suspect they are good too. Highly recommended. Don’t book through the awful open table website though!

Pleasant outside table in the sunshine. Friendly service and delicious food. The Woolpack has always been one of our favourite pubs, and today’s lunch didn’t disappoint.

Absolutely lovely staff and food excellent especially the lamb dish. The sausage dish could do with being a bit bigger but otherwise could not fault anything. The garlic bread starter has to be tried - just amazing.
