This is a great place to go if you have a dog. There aren't many nice places in New York you can go to eat and take your pup with you. I'll be back for that reason! The drinks were good, so was the service, but the food could be better.

A lovely spot, with great ambience. The brick chicken was fantastic - possibly the best bird I’ve ever eaten. Beware of the live saxamaphone cranking up at 10:00pm; great musician, but mighty loud at close range. Will happily return.

Hoping for a Christmas experience with live jazz music like their marketing provided. We got a lounge seat and the waiter was awesome when he was around. A long wait between drinks. No jazz music.

Amazing Christmas Day experience - great food and service, especially Igor who looked after us. Wonderful ambience and then we moved to a separate bar to listen to the jazz over coffee - our lunch was booked for 2.30pm and we didn’t leave until 8pm we were having such a wonderful time. A very special place

I just wanted to take a moment to acknowledge the excellence of the Grand Bar and Lounge. 💗🌷💗 My husband and I live in Manhattan, and our favorite thing to do is go to brunch every Sunday at the Grand Bar and Lounge. It has been our favorite restaurant for a very time, and we keep falling more and more in love with our favorite haunt every week!!! The initial attraction was how dog friendly the restaurant is. Trust me, that was enough for me. However, we also discovered that the staff is the best in all of New York City, the food is magnificent (they even serve eggs all day) and the ambiance is above a five star rating. Everyone remembers our names (including our dog’s name) and we are treated as though we are a part of their family. When we arrive, the first friendly face that greets us is the doorman, then the hostess, the waitresses and waiters and lets not forget the baristas! The entire staff is just amazing! Barbara, Zwenksa and Jackie are a triple threat and I look forward to being doted upon by them every week! In addition, the managers (Murat instantly comes to mind) always make a special point of stopping by and saying hello and inquiring as to whether or not we need anything while we are there. The warm environment (couches and all) just elevates the experience to a new level of excellence. As a Manhattannite, I take where I spend my little bit of free time very seriously, and I have searched for years for an establishment that checked all of my boxes, and the Grand Bar and Lounge checks them all and then some! Thank you for being simply a cut above the rest! Written with love and gratitude from a very satisfied regular. ♥️🐶♥️

Food tasty as always. Highly recommend the truffle beignets! Servers are very attentive. The only drawback is the noise. There's a standard noise level regardless of how many people are there. So you just have to be ready for it.

Poor customer service. Our party arrived on time for our reservation however, no one attended to us. We had to get a waiter attention to come get our drink order. The restaurant was not crowded although it was Mother's Day

Especially not a place to go if you want to relax. Dreadful MUSIC. Incompetent DJ playing the worse French music and decadent loudly sounds. Manager incompetent as well. When asking to lower down the dreadful music the answer was just laughing at you. Such an idiot. Overall place is nice... new rich ghetto trash ambiance.

We were seated and never served -- not even given a glass of water and menus. When we tried to get the attention of a server, he said, "In a minute" in an annoyed way. So we left. I can't remember when I've last done something like that. I would have preferred not to rate the food here, but there's no NA option.

I had a business breakfast there and it was the perfect spot. We wanted a bit more privacy so opted for a table vs seats in the lounge. Food was delicious and service was good. The only slight negative is that the tables are pretty close together, so getting in and out is a challenge.

In over 30 years of dining out, I’ve never been asked to provide a credit card upfront (apparently our punishment for not being hotel guests) and that was the beginning of, what can only be described as a bizarre night. We were in SoHo and I couldn’t help but think of the movie “After Hours” - a series of strange events. Food was fine, but the night was “off”.

Loved the location and the food was good, but the service was surprisingly poor. This started with the surly hostess, who answered any question with a minimal monosyllabic response, and clearly had no interest in being there or doing her job. The wait staff was much friendlier, but got the order wrong. The bus staff hovered at all times, taking things from the table the minute you set them down, making the whole meal feel rushed. It's a great location with excellent food and ambiance, but they really need to work on the service levels.

Great sitting, fun menu with spins on brunch staples. Delicious. The only negative for a person who reserved through OpenTable was that the hostess was clueless about checking you in which resulted in deleting the reservation and then didn't recognize this as problem. Hello!
