So we arrived right as it started raining with a group of 6 adults and 3 children. Didn't have to wait long. Great atmosphere! The only downside was that the food took a very long time to come once ordered. Over 30 mins. But the waiter was great and gave us a discount for the wait. Also, considering the rain brought in several parties all at the same time, I was more understanding of the wait. The food was outstanding! I'd go back the next time I'm in Boulder!

Very nice, large restaurant that is known for it's beer. And the beer is indeed very good, and should be explored. Service was very fast and efficient. The food was okay, but unexceptional. But this is a college town, and I would enjoy the great beer and have some bar snacks here anytime.

Family weekend lunch. Service was outstanding; server very pleasant and helpful; without being overbearing. Started with the pub pretzels and dip; very good. Two of us ordered cod fish and chips - good enough for pub food; two others ordered the salmon fish and chips and stated also good. Other had chicken fried chicken which she really liked. Will return.

Let me start by saying, the service here is fabulous. Our waiter was just attentive enough without being overly so, and he kept our beverages coming without our having to ask even once. The food, however, is another matter. My compatriots ordered the fish & chips and the salmon fish & chips. According to my family, the regular fish & chips was very soggy, which is indicative of the fish being fried at too low a temperature. It was cooked through, but soggy. The salmon fish & chips were severely overdone - it was very obvious visually, and they were dry. Personally, I have a celiac disease, and the waiter was extremely knowledgeable about which items I could or could not have, and many of the items can be modified to be gluten free. I ended up ordering the citrus kale salad, which wasn't the best choice. The dressing was nice, as were the toppings (e.g., cranberries, etc.), but the chicken was a tad dry. In addition, the kale still had the stems in it - I didn't expect this and halfway broke a tooth (I exaggerate, but you get the point). The kale stems were very hard, and the kale itself was quite dirty, such that you could feel the grains as you were chewing. The salad overall tasted good, but I don't think I would order it again. Now to dessert. They were very accommodating in treating the birthday boys to dessert. I cannot have the desserts personally due to my celiac disease, but the birthday boys elected to try the donut holes and the carrot cake. Reportedly, the donuts were a little over-fried, but still decent. They serve them with caramel sauce. The carrot cake, which is apparently made with their red ale (unusual, right?), was apparently exquisite. They make it in-house every day, and the birthday boys thought it was just fabulous. It's also HUGE, more than enough for two to share. Overall, I could see visiting this place again for dessert for someone else, and possibly to see what other items could be made gluten free. We shall see. ;)

The waitstaff was pretty slow with a few easy requests but friendly. My husband loved his chicken & waffles & others in group liked fish & chips but my margarita pizza arrived cold, was not reheated but remade which took so long I could only have one bite before we had to go (concert) then too long to wait for a box so I left without it (which was ok since it strangely had tons of pesto on it making it not a marg pizza at all). if we come again, I'll order chicken.

We went to the brewery for a celebration of our cousin's 90th birthday and they did it right. The waiter and other staff were excellent, food was very good and we were treated special. Have already shared our dinning experience with friends and will definitely return the next time we are in town. All the entree portions were large and well presented. The birthday carrot cake was outstanding, we all agreed it was the best we ever tasted.

I had lunch with some friends. It is an open area, the food was good and prices reasonable. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. In all, we all had an enjoyable lunch there. There is an added bonus of a parking lot right across the street.

Loved the fish tacos... brilliant putting a soft shell around a hard shell. Waitress made great beer recommendations for us. The very high ceiling made for good sound quality... I don't expect a brew-pub to be quiet... but one of the reasons we'll go back is because it's not so noisy you can't easily hear what your friends are saying.

Great place for a cold beer and a delicious salad which is what we did and enjoyed everything! We were immediately greeted by the hostess who sat us promptly in a booth. Our server was attentive, helpful and knowledgeable. The beers were ice cold and that was welcome it being very hot outside. The Cobb salad was delicious with fresh and tasty ingredients. Highly recommend!

Food & beer were good. Was looking for a restaurant that was appropriate for an adult with three kids under 10 y/o, this restaurant fit the bill perfectly. Had kids menu, & crayons for kids.

The customer service okay but not up to par considering the number of tables that were occupied. Food was quite tasty and quantity was very sufficient. The nacho appetizer was great for 4 people. We booked as a special occasion, birthday but there was no acknowledgement. Upselling was not utilized.

With our daughter at CU we visit the Boulder area at least twice a year, making sure to have dinner one night at the Walnut Brewery. The beers are stellar, the nacho appetizer is amazing and the burgers are satisfying. My son wishes to someday try the burgers, but can't pass up ordering the deeply comforting mac and cheese.

The otherwise excellent fries were way over-salted. All members of the group agreed. I communicated this to the server when we paid the check. I may be a senior, but I still have the folk memory ability to add salt to my fries as needed using the salt cellar provided at the table. The kitchen does not have to do this for me.
