The very Italian food in New York!Pizza is delicious, and also other food. The best Italian pizza in NY!
I have eaten at Ribalto three or four times before - I love the calamari; this was the first time this dish was a little cold. I assume it had been pre-made.... I would rather wait a little longer to have it hot. I guess the reason it was brought to us so quickly was so the restaurant can't through more customers? Otherwise it remains one of my favourite places to eat in NY. Great service.
This place had a nice vibe (fun and energetic with a younger clientele), but the food was mediocre. We were quite surprised that the place was packed (location probably helps) because the quality of the pizza was below par. For an Italian restaurant, we expected much better, but got a bland, tasteless pizza instead and were quite disappointed. We will not return, as there are tons of places that offer better pizza for less.
The worst Italian restaurant ever! The only Italian things inside are the...owners! And a couple of waitress (the only rude people between all the service guys). Bad manners and bad pizza, not good quality of the ingredients in my experience. So not only I would never return back but neither suggest to other people to waste money and time in this place when there are fabulous restaurants outside there.
"The Ziti alla Genovese, a dish difficult to find in the best of Italian restaurants, was perfection at Ribalta, NYC." Mayor of Bonefro in Molise, a 'difficult to please' cognoscente on the Italian cuisine! For me, 'all things Ribalta' is perfect!
I had a 6pm reservation, but was about 15 minutes early, which wasn't a problem at all for a Wednesday evening. The hostess was accommodating and the wait staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was all very tasty: meatballs and brussel sprouts to start, and the tomato and mozzarella to share - the 18" is large enough for at least 3 people. I'll be going back for some more pizza for sure!
Great place great value. Pizza is spectacular. Food came quickly and servers were attentive but not overbearing. Recommended to everyone looking for a fun ambiance, incredible food and good prices.
The pizza here is delicious and they have great appetizers as well.
I tried Ribalta because it is on the Bib Gourmand list. The pizza crust and cheese was awesome. The Italian sausage was very bland though. Brussels were great. It’s a cool place and reasonably priced for its high quality food.
Some of the best pizza I’ve ever had!
Best gluten free pizza ever! My best friend and I both have gluten allergies and we didn't feel like we had to get down-graded in our pizza experience. The pizza was soft and fluffy and truly amazing. We will definitely be coming back!
Not as good as previously (chef off on Sunday?). Insipid salad and mediocre pizza. Plus Ribalta claimed to Open Table that I had not honored my reservation, even though they acknowledged my reservation when I checked in, and I paid with my credit card in my name. The service was excellent, however.
Ribalta was a great find in Union Square area. The ambience was so nice and relaxing, and the food was wonderful.
The pizza was mega nice!
The pizza is great. It is just too noisy! It is always crowded so there is noise from people. And then they put on loud music. Cannot even have a conversation with someone sitting next to you.
Great food! Not only excellent piazza but also excellent cold seafood salad and meatballs. Good service. Would definitely go back and recommend to friends.
It was a great business lunch welcoming a new colleague. Making a reservation was very easy and the service was quick.
Place is pretty good but honestly other pizzerias (UPN, Keste) are better. Service was prompt and attentive. A little too noisy
Food and service were excellent. I’m thrilled that there was a specifically labeled vegan pizza. Gluten free crust is prepared in the same area as everything else so keep that in mind if you have a severe allergy. No vegan dessert, but I didn’t mind because the espresso was delicious. They have a projector that they use to show soccer games (the waitress said they mainly use it when Naples is playing). Overall we had an amazing time and will be returning!
In the bar I ordered a drink Old Fashion and was really bad. The place is too noisy you can't maintain a talk. The attention and food are good.
Authentic Neopolitan pizza. Amazing taste and great wine.
Their pizza and salad (all we ordered) was great. Service was friendly and quick. The only detraction was that the restaurant has a faint weird smell when you walk in. You get over it, but it’s too bad. Everything else was awesome. I’d recommend it, and I would go back.
Went there for a family dinner, The food is ok, though nothing outstanding.. The pizza was too wet.. you can tell they use good ingratiates though food wasn't outstanding.
Very good food served in a very nice setting. When we were there, the crowd was quite eclectic, from young professional couples to even younger NYU students. We had two different pasta dishes, and both were very good, but its not inexpensive.
Very good pizza. Service is perfect. All ok, I reccomand it
Some of the best meatballs and best pizza in all New York with some special Italian ingredients such as shaved truffles
Outstanding food , service was exceptional!
Good time had by all
Some of the best gluten free (GF) pizza I've ever had!
Entire crew cares about the Customer, great experience and great food.. good job
My favorite Pizza in NYC
The pizza was awesome, especailly the truffle versions, authentic thin base. Service was attentive and fun, would recommend.
Good food mediocre service. Our waiter went off shift and did not tell us. The new waiter never came and checked on us and basically ignored our table.
The food, wine, and dessert were delicious. I would definitely return.
Food is great but way too noisy to have conversation.
I'm Italian, in NYC for tourism....
I can say with no doubt in Italy it's hard to find a pizza as perfect as Ribalta's....
Went in for a Last minute family meal and it was great to be able to get in right away and served quickly. Kids loved the pizza, and i was happy wirh everyrhing as i went around the table tasting everyrhing that was ordered.
Can't wait to go back and try more of the offerings.
Outstanding says it all. Food, waitstaff, menu choices, quick service, pretty much all outstanding. We were a group of 8...everyone happy.
The shrimp/calamari fritto misto was excellent (as good as you get in Rome). The beer selection was very good. The pizza was a bit cold and under cooked but very tasty!
Great pizza! Authentic wood fired ovens. Crust is superb aged dough. Toppings fresh and mostly imported from Italy. All the wait staff are Italian Been here several times and it never disappoints
Ribalta serves real pizza like in "old Napoli." Mouthwatering buffala mozzarella and San Marzano tomato sauce. Crisp yet chewy crust. You can't beat it. 10/10
