   Had an amazing dinner last night! The service was impeccable and the food sublime! The wagyu steak was buttery tender and my hubby loved the carbonara. And to have live piano music was icing on the cake!! Highly recommend!!

   Great food as always. We shared a bunch of appies and pastas as well as four mains among our group of 6. Wagyu beef was outstanding! Christian and Alan were friendly and provided excellent service, Andy dropped in to visit our table and make sure all was well, which it was! Another fun evening with friends at our favourite venue.

   Nice cosy little place, the live piano music is so much nicer to eat too than loud top 40s. The staff was attentive and kind, the food was delicious. Nice that the menu had vegetarian and gluten-free options.

   Great value and a good choice for an elevated dining experience that won't kill the wallet. Appy, drink and entree is about $80 per person. Service was friendly, food was good. Would go back again.

   Food and service was perfect. Only thing I could say is that the tables were all pretty tightly layed out together, for example I could hear what the tables either side of me were talking about.

    A truly memorable meal. It was our last evening in Vancouver and il Nido did not disappoint. Superb dining experience with first rate service from knowledgeable staff. The only thing that wasn't perfect was the number of guests taking photos of food, selfies and the high use of mobile phones at table. In our opinion this is discourteous to the restaurant, the chef and to the beautiful environment.

    This is a lovely italian fine dining experience, everything surpassed my expectation. The server is extremely knowledgeable and helpful recommending wine pairing with our carbonara and main courses. The Tiramisu is one of the best Ive had.

    It’s sad. This place used to be so good. Had the greatest atmosphere. But the new ownership has changed everything. This place no longer feels like a fine Italian restaurant. Doesn’t feel Italian at all other than the menu. Even then. The presentation is very plain now. No garnish or appropriate sides. Very much lost its class. Way to much money for what your getting.

    We had a good meal at ail Nido and will go back! All 4 of had different entrees and all of us agreed they were excellent. Gnocchi, risotto, penne and black ink pasta, followed by the delicious salted caramel chocolate cake.

    Quiet smaller Italian restaurant. Excellent menu, our entrees were delicious. Tiramisu birthday surprise was frosting on the cake. Highly recommend. If you like crowds, this is not the place for you.

    Excellent personalized service from our waiter. I appreciated how he took excellent care of us, and saw my OpenTable request to provide my wife with a surprise dessert for her birthday. Food was good but not great, and overpriced IMO. Biggest knock is that the pasta we ordered was a bit overcooked. Not horribly flaccid, but far from al dente, which it really should be for a $30 price tag. The mushroom side was *quite* salty - had to eat it with other items to handle the salt. $17? $10-12 max. The meatballs appetizer - $17 for 4 small balls. I get that there's been COVID and inflation, but it wasn't $4.25/ball? Excessive. $10-14 max, with larger balls pls. Good complimentary bread (but not great). The final item - tiramisu was very good. Personally I prefer mine sweeter, but my wife loved it.

    The cutest little authentic Italian place. Nice and quiet if you want an intimate evening. Amazing food, amazing service, would 10/10 go back to try everything else, but would also DEFINITELY get the lamb shank again - to die for. This place is totally underrated and flying under the radar for the quality that it is dishing out. Best Italian I’ve had in Vancouver thus far.

    I highly recommend this place pasta to everyone. I was shopping on Robson but ran into this hidden romantic Italian restaurant by chance and follow the smell of cooking. There Carbonara was soooo Good. My friend had the Truffle Spaghetti and said it was good, but I didn't tasted it.

    What an amazing meal, the cheese just melts in your mouth with the pasta. The pasta is done slightly Al Dente, and just the way it should be. Nido restaurant is unpretentious and just the right vibe, in an italian rustic way. The manager was amazing, and gave us great wine recommendations.

If you complain about the portion size, you are welcome to order two instead of sharing. $25 for a pasta main course is very reasonable price in downtown Vancouver.     The server was curt, I asked about the wine and all he did was read the menu back to me.. the wine was watered down but din’t know how to raise it up to the server after the curt behavior.. the food nod bad.. meatballs was mediocre tho ..

    Service was exceptional. Food was good with a surprise of the prawns oreganata served over a salad instead of over pasta with a side salad. Wines were very reasonably priced and the lemonchello was great after a hot sweaty day. Christian did great job
