The aromas emanating from Pomme Frite"s kitchen are enchanting and mellow even the most severe food critics. The charming patio is perfect for street and people watching on Palm Canyon Drive, and the dreamy European music insures a relaxing and romantic dining experience.

Nice evening. Food was excellant
Another great experience!
Reservations mean nothing. We had a 7:45 reservation and were finally seated at 9. It's really a first come first serve system. Food was great when we finally got it.
Honored the reservation. Owner manager showed us to the table and shared the specials for the day. Outstanding service and event better food. Mussel - Bluecheese and frogs legs.
Great restaurant, but don't book with Open Table less than an hour before. Wait is long then even with a reservation. Just call!
Without having reservations anywhere for a last minute trip to Palm Springs, I thought our chances of having a special dinner were lost. But not only did we get a table at Pomme Frite on the day, but the meal was outstanding. The staff was rushed, the place packed. We had to wait a little bit for a table but with fantastic (!) wines in hand, we were fine. There were specials including salad and appetizer specials. But we went with the tried and true goat cheese salad, rack of lamb, and of course steak. Every bite was fantastic. And if they have it, I highly suggest the red pepper and tomato soup. The wines ordered for us by the waiter were exceptional and so I recommend that you trust them. We had a great meal. I highly suggest you give them a try.
Amazing ... as ALWAYS!
We really enjoyed our meal here! Had the best coq au vin ever!!!
Had two different preparations of the mussels : Cajun and Lemongrass/ginger/coconut. Both were very good and generous portions. This was our second visit; would return again —- especially if you are a fan of mussels. Large selection of Belgian beers also.
I have dined here every trip to psp. However, this experience will cause me to pause before selecting again. From the moment we entered it seemed the restaurant was in a state of chaos. We sat, hoping things would get on track, but it never did. Server seemed overwhelmed due to so many tables being sat in close succession. Between appetizer course complete, and entree arrival was an hour.
One of best restaurants in Palm Springs. Delicious entrees and desserts, as well as, the most gracious, friendly and jovial staff. Great for special occasions, date nights or when you just want an amazing experience at a reasonable price. A+++++++
Truly amazing! We live in Los Angeles where he literally have hundreds of Italian restaurants, have been to Italy 3 times and this was the best Italian meal we have ever had!
In a word, FABULOUS!!! The food, the service and the ambiance were all top shelf.
We come to Palm Springs twice a year and this is the first place we come to dine. You must try the Mussels. Also save room for the floating Island.
Great little gem in the desert! Great French food, great beers great service. Great value! Great ambiance!
Everything was perfect. Worth the drive!
Too salty! but otherwise awesome. Love the patio. Service was good.
Great food for our second dinner within a week. Alas, they were short handed by two. Instead of explaining that up front they waited till the end of dinner when I complained about the service. I had to get water, bread and the bill. Otherwise no complaints and I will return again. PS it was Halloween so there you go.
Wish there were more stars to give. So authentic, so much like home. Don't walk, run there!
Very tasty dinner. Whole cooked sea bass absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked as was the rack of lamb. Both food and drink reasonably priced for what was served. Will be going again to try something different.
We always come here for all of our celebrations. Great food! Great service! The ambience make you feel like you are in Belgium! Bon Appetit
We came here more than a decades ago because of its wide Belgian beer selection. Then we kept coming back for the great food and service - in addition to the always expanding beer selection. We will be coming back for the next decade, too.
Dinner was delicious...a couple faux pas with the delivery of our food, but the wait staff was courteous. Food was very solid...good flavors. Will try mussels next time!
Very good French cuisine in the heart of Palm Springs. Excellent service.
Pleasant outdoor/indoor bistro with great ambience and friendly staff. Noise level was quiet and conversation friendly. The food was outstanding and diverse. Perfect setting.
Every time we go to Palm Springs we have to have dinner here.
Everything we had was excellent! Great French cuisine and Belgian beers.
Our group of 5 people were greeted warmly. The patio table & service were great! We enjoyed the excellent food ! The fish & seafood dishes were wonderful! we were able to have nice conversations as the noise level was minimal. Thanks so much. We highly recommend this restaurant.
Sole was great, and so was the Ceaser salad
On my first trip to Palm Springs, I happened upon this gem along the main strip. And while the desert doesn’t normally put one in the mind for moules frites, I am glad I strangely WAS in the mood.
The beer selection contains some of the best Belgian offers, poured in the correct glassware as you would expect. The beet salad appetizer was light and refreshing with a wonderful Dijon dressing. And the moules frites were perfectly cooked and nicely flavored (I had the bacon, mushroom, celery).
The mousse for dessert was also well worth the additional pressure placed on my waistband. I would recommend this cozy and authentic Belgian restaurant any time you are in Palm Springs.
A real Belgian/French bistro in the desert. Friendly, helpful service, great food, wonderful patio. Crusty owner/host was delightful! Salmon and Floating Island not to be missed.
Had the steak frites. Steak is 8oz, which is too large for me, so I split my dinner with a friend. They charge$7 to split plates, which was fine because they split it for you and add a slightly extra portion to the side dishes, making the perfect size meal. The steak itself was very average. Tough and not the most flavorful unless you like to drown it in butter. Patio seating is lovely. Especially on a beautiful Palm Springs evening. Any chance of my returning was ruined however because the waiter refused to split our bill on two credit cards. He said the bill was only $36.50 and there is a minimum credit card charge of at least $20 for each card. I pointed out that that will be over$20 on each card with tip. He said that doesn't matter. We have to spend$20 each before trip. I told him that kind of policy would make me not want to return to the restaurant. He said he didn't care. In a day and age where we are moving away from being a cash society, this kind of policy is ridiculous. There is no extra cost to the establishment for splitting a bill. Given the meal was not above average, with an annoying finish at the end, I see no reason to return
Been coming for years and have always had a nice experience. Caprese salad was excellent.
Excellent service cuisine. Get rid of the TV. When I go out to dinner with my wife I don't want to go to a sport bar. Stop catering to the lowest common denominator. Be a French or Belgian restaurant or be a red neck sports bar. You won't lose any business by turning off the T V.
our group of 4 had been recommended by others to enjoy authentic mussels and fries. We had two different orders of them and both were good. Would have enjoyed more deeply flavored seasonings but still enjoyable. Nice service and we happened to find out that they had no corkage fee Wednesdays for bringing your own wine...nice! We sat outside and people watched while enjoying our meal.
I am rarely as disappointed in a restaurant as I was in Pomme Frite. Look at the name. Wouldn't you think that the fries would be hand cut and delicious? They were nicely fried and salted but they were clearly previously frozen and tasted just like Ore Ida to me. Also, my Coq au Vin was just wrong. The sauce tasted like it was thickened with corn starch and the spices were all wrong. Their wine and beer list is strong though. Overall, this was a disappointing meal.
The place to go for great mussels and frites! The mussels were huge and they offer so many different preparations.
The waiter was not attentive and never came by to ask how the food was during dinner. The steak tasted like Seafood. But the waiter never came by so my husband ate it, till he couldn’t anymore.
Hmmm not so good off an anniversary
Love this romantic place. Authentic europian cuisine that melts in your mouth, especially their fillet of sole and mash potatoes
Another favourite - a MUST each visit to Palm Springs. Excellent outdoor dining, especially on market night when it's great for people-watching!
We now live in Palm Springs full time and Pomme Frite is one of our favorite restaurants in the valley. Service is friendly and attentive, prices are moderate and the food is well prepared and delicious. Sunday evenings they have a little known extra: "free corkage", which lowers the price even more for this moderately priced gem. My husband ordered the baked salmon and I had Vol au Vent. Both were fabulous. Sadly, there was no room left for dessert. Next time we will not fill up on their delicious bread so we will have room for dessert. Highly recommended. Forgot to mention that their Belgian Stew is wonderful and their frites are exceptional.
