Located firmly within San Francisco's Castro district, 2362 Market Street is steeped in city history. Here, Catch makes its mark in a storefront registered as an official city landmark that originally housed the burgeoning NAMES Project, which famously organized the creation of the AIDS Memorial Quilt. The history remains with the building, but Catch aims to create a new legacy while honoring the spirit of creativity and expression rooted in its surroundings.

To foster this spirit, the chefs rotate their menus regularly, accommodating seasonal produce and fresh catches of local, sustainably sourced seafood. Each dish showcases these ingredients while incorporating Mediterranean influences and minimalist Californian sensibilities toward composition and presentation.

Since opening in October 2002, Catch is the perfect place to gather for every occasion – handcrafted artisanal cocktails and appetizers at the bar, a cozy romantic dinner for two by the fireplace.

So sorry to see Catch close but so happy to be there on its closing night. Once again the fish was wonderful. I hope it will soon see a new wave of business for a new owner. A fond farewell to another San Francisco treat.

So nice to share in the farewell festivities with Sanjay, Alberto and the entire team.. We will miss this wonderful neighborhood restaurant, that has been with us for over 20 years!! Godspeed to everyone at Catch!

The wiser Alberto with his welcoming smile goes out if his way to accommodate the customer. The good never disappoints. Sad to see the restaurant close after all these years.

Not the ole Catch. Very mediocre French cuisine. We waited for service, along while for food, and for the check. The prices were very high and I did not taste, see, or want to return any time soon. To bad the predecessor is not still the proprietor any more.

We had our final dinner at Catch this evening . An amazing night as always ! Catch has been a staple and a very important part of our lives here in the Castro for so many years . We will miss them dearly !

I have been going to this place for 22 years and it's always been consistently good. I am sad that it is closing on March 9th. This was our last meal there. End of an era.

I have been dining at Catch for the 20+ years they have been open. Mostly dinner, but brunch or lunch as well. I've also joined friends at their bar for a social meet-up. Service has been consistently good and professional. The food has always been great. For this dinner on a rainy night, I started with the French Onion Soup. Hearty, rich, flavorful and that ooey-gooey melted cheese on top. For my entree, I ordered the Fettuccini Alfredo with Pan-Seared Scallops. Oh my! Creamy, rich, decadent. Sadly, Catch is closing next week as the owner is retiring. So sad to see them go.
