   The service was efficient but kind and patient and that always makes the experience so much better. The food was dee-li-cious. On this Mother's Day, I looked forward to and was not disappointed by the treat that I allow myself once in a while, the French toast, served with just the right amount of syrup and a sprinkling of powdered sugar with fresh and tasty fruit on the side. I suggested it to my bff and she loved it as well. My husband and my son-in-law enjoyed the Spanish omelette, my daughter simple eggs and toast. All the dishes were oven hot and we were comfortable and cozy in the outside area. Cafe Du Berry is a little gem that we are lucky enough to have in our neck of the woods.

   I took my family out for Mother’s Day brunch. It could not have been a better dining experience. The wait staff was fantastic. My coffee cup was never empty. Great variety on the menu. The food was excellent.

   I’ve always received good service at Cafe Du Berry and and this was the first visit where I sat upstairs. The food is always good and the lemon French toast was amazing. I highly recommend Cafe Du Berry for any occasion; they never disappoint.

   I’ve lived in Portland my whole life, and I’ve never been to this restaurant. It was quite amazing, and lived up to the hype. I loved everything about it, of course the food was the topper.

   The food at Cafe Du Berry is scrumptious and the portions are plentiful. We had brunch. I devoured the delicious French Toast and my husband ate a ham & cheese omelet. We look forward to trying the dinner menu.

   French onion soup was great. The rack of lamb, steak and salmon were all cooked perfectly.

   The noise level due to traffic on Macadam Ave was very high. Otherwise, food was good and service was very good.

   Our waiter wasn’t attentive unfortunately. And seemed put out when we asked for syrup or extra cheese, for example. The atmosphere was disappointing as well. We love a PDX classic. and Cafe DuBerry’s has always been a family favorite, for generations. But it’s in shambles. We’d love to see a facelift, even a small one would make a big difference.

   Sorry to post a bad review. Cafe du Berry was once wonderful, and very popular; I have not been for years, and was shocked on a recent Sat morning. It has deteriorated badly; the place is run down, understaffed with the furnishings and finishes in disrepair, and the food barely diner quality. Even the hashbrowns were unrecognizable. Frankly we left feeling a little slimy; explains why it was so empty. Lots of room for improvement!

    There is no place in Portland that has better food or a more attentive, friendly and helpful staff than Café DuBarry
