   This has become our go to sports bar on the UES since Brother Jimmy’s closed. The self pour beer wall, large seating options, supply of board games, and friendly servers make this an easy choice for any occasion, especially Sunday night post-soccer. The only negative (but only if you really care about sports) is their insistence on keep the music on - always. On one occasion, despite the entire restaurant being filled with only Michigan and (BLEEP) fans for The Game (noon time start), we had to start a chant of “turn on the sound” before the manager complied several min into the game.

   Let me start off by saying it was ridiculously warm...why the heat was on I still have no idea! We then had to wait at least 20 minutes to order our drinks, which were poorly made. We then immediately ordered and were not served for another 35 minutes....the place was empty and now I understand why. Horrible food, drinks, service and quality of attention - do not waste your time going here.

   Absolutely awful, I made a reservation for me and my friends after I ran the nyc marathon and all of my friends went there and said that dukes said they don’t take reservations. Absolutely horrible .

   I have given a one star because we weren't seated, and never ate here. Duke's didn't honor my reservation because of the marathon. I appreciate they were busy, being close to the marathon path- so a lot of people were walking in to drink at the bar. However, there is a better way to handle this. Especially as I was with little kids and I did have a reservation. The extremely rude host said "it's your problem for making a reservation on a day that is so busy". I told him I didn't mind going elsewhere. But as a follow up and courtesy thinking about other people, I suggested they let open table know that they cannot take reservations that afternoon. He told me that wasn't his job or his problem. He said they could honor reservations and people could sit outside (it was really cold). A restaurant that cares about customer service would make non-reservation holders sit outside (especially if it was only bar service) and honor people with reservations to sit inside. Highly unlikely I would ever go here again.

   Worst experience I’ve had in a very long time! No one came back with drinks for so long that the ice in most had completely melted. No one ever came back to take a food order or a second drink order for at least 45 min. Decided to ask for the check and that took even more time. So terrible.

    I have been to Duke's on Second Ave with my husband and our two daughters several times and always had a fun time and a good meal. So when relatives came to town, we decided to bring our party of 10 to Duke's. We had a pleasant and fairly attentive server, and everyone in our party enjoyed their food, which included several orders of chicken and waffles and the mac and cheese variations. So far, so good. 7 of us decided to use your Self-serve Beer Wall, so our server was saved the hassle of taking multiple drink and refill orders and bringing them to us. When the bill came, we noticed that a 20% gratuity had been added, which is completely understandable for a group of 10, but the $100 that we spent on SELF-SERVE beers was included in the 20% !! So, instead of a $50+ tip for the adequate service we received, we were forced to leave an $80 tip for services we DID NOT receive. When we brought this to the attention of the person who brought the bill (who was not our original server), she stated that it's always figured this way and could not be changed. So we paid the full bill and gratuity, but it left a very sour taste. If this is your tipping policy for SELF-SERVE drinks, I will not be bringing larger groups here again.

    Beer Taps didn't work, so why bother going. No BBQ food. No Chardonnay. If you have fish allergy you can no longer eat most of the food on the menu even if its not fish because they grill fish on the same grill as the other food

    When we first entered Dukes it was not busy at all and there were plenty of tables to choose from, we ended up getting a tour of the restaurant as they told us the original table we wanted was unavailable. With in fact was not true, we ended up being moved to the requested table. As we choose the bottomless brunch option, we expected our drinks to be filled when empty. This was unfortunately not the case as our waitress was MIA. We had to consistently ask her to fill our drinks as she was on her phone texting a few feet over. Overall my meal was good and I would go back for HH or even dinner, but for brunch I will have to take a pass on this option and go elsewhere.

    I WOULD NOT eat here. I work in the service industry and I am normally very understanding, but the service here was TERRIBLE. To start the night I made a reservation and when I got there they did not have a table available. This was fine we sat at the bar. When one became available it took three people to confirm if my boyfriend and I could sit there. Our server introduced herself and took our drink order, but that was the last time she came on her own. She stood at the server station playing on her phone or eating and I had to flag her over 6 times. I understand when you are busy you can’t always check up on a table, but if you have time to text or watch videos on your phone you can check up on your table. The food was okay, but the service ruined the whole experience. I would save your money and eat anywhere else.

    This is the second time we have been to dukes. The worst service ever. We had to go look for them to get drinks and food numerous times. Then when they brought the food, they brought the adults food first, then my sons and then 10 min later told us that they gave my daughters food to another table by mistake. They didn’t offer to take it off the bill or give her something while she waits for them to make her a new meal. Terrible service. Will never go back.

    Ate with the family after a day at the MET. 10,7, and 2 year old in tow and 5 adults. Standard pub food. Excellent Mac-n-cheese. Also the nachos with pulled pork were a hit. Good burgers. Good stop for casual dining.

    The blonde waitress who was there on Christmas Day was incredibly rude. I tried to ask her questions about the drink menu and she was very arrogant and short in her responses. She didnt smile and rolled her eyes whenever I tired to ask a question about the menu. She looked and acted like she didn't wanna be there that day. Very poor customer service. Luckily , I ended up getting a different server.

    Service was awesome, our waitress Islan was awesome and amazing! Great food and drinks! Fun shots! Food was served quick and hot! Definitely will be back definitely worth the drive from the burbs!

    I ate brunch at Duke's after finding it on OpenTable. The food was pretty good and everybody enjoyed their meals, however the service was very slow. Duke's has more of a bar than a restaurant feel which, based on photos and the menu, I did not expect.

    The noise level was ridiculous. With a reservation we still had to wait for a table. Then wait for a waitress to show up. Then wait for our drinks. Then we waited another 20 minutes, because the waitress came over and asked us to reminder her what we ordered, clearly she had forgotten to put the order into the kitchen. She did bring us a complimentary order of guacamole for our wait. The wait was now approaching an hour. Once the food came, the ribs were overly sweet, the hamburger very thin and the fries regular and sweet potato were lukewarm and soggy. I know it is a beer centric place but the red wine was barely drinkable. The Firefly Vodka and lemonade was the only tasty thing of the evening. When this location was one of their Big Daddy's, everything ran smoothly and the food was tasty. If you are over 25 avoid this place at night. There are plenty of other good bars and reasonable restaurants within a block in either direction of this place. Maybe okay for brunch but not going to go out of our way for this one.

    Music was way to loud. Couldn’t hear people sitting across the table from me. I had to yell to get anyone to hear me. I did enjoy the self serve beer. Good selection as well.
