   We found no reason for the crowd. Food was fair, sauce below par, noise uncomfortable, soup overly salty. Yes, the prices were reasonable, guess that is the draw. Haven't been here in years and now remember why.

   Special was linguini with seafood, that was all very overdone and dried out. Probably should have returned dish immediately, but didn’t. Used to be much better.

   First time visit which will not be the last. Now we only tried two pasta dishes and the zucchini appetizer all three were very good Mine, fusilli w/ sweet and hot sausage, my wife had pasta with eggplant and ricotta both were on point!! Very interested in going back to sample other dishes

   This restaurant is one of my favorites in the City. Food, service everything is always done to perfection. Also, you don't have to shout to be heard across the table.

   Noisy! Unfortunately, the noise level overshadowed the delicious fare and impeccable service. We have dined here many times without as much noise. Did we mention noise too much?

   This is my favorite restaurant on the UES. The staff are all terrific and very friendly. They always remember you and what you drink, from previous visits. They don't make you leave when you are the last ones there. The food gets better each time we go visit. They have a full bar and are very good at doing mixed drinks. The crowd is mixed and lively but never gets loud. The restrooms are clean and stocked. There is seating outside and in. The hostess is very pleasant. The weekends get crowded especially in the non-summer months so reservations are always recommended.

   They service was slow. And the restaurant was incredibly and dangerously hot. I will neither eat there again nor recommend anyone eat there.

    This is a great neighborhood restaurant. Better than average food and very reasonable prices. It does get noisy and service is slow as there was only one waiter for 7-8 tables for Sunday brunch. But if you are not in a rush, the menu is very varied, portions ample and and as indicated, prices very reasonable. Will definitely go back.

    Food was well seasoned and nice ambiance with outside seating also available. We tried two of their specials. The veal dish was well prepared; the seafood dish had good pasta and seasoning but the mussels were dry and the seafood was overcooked.

    My wife is gluten free (celiac), and we ate there with confidence. She had ample choices from the menu and the wait staff was knowledgeable and helpful. We will eat there again when we come to visit the upper east side.

    Tonight was an inexcusable mess. The restaurant OVERBOOKED. We had an 8:PM reservation & when we arrived there were already quite a few couples there waiting & waiting & already upset. As we arrived some couples decided to leave. Everyone had reservations. We were told there would there would be a wait. The young lady told that to everyone. WE DECIDED TO LEAVE. As we left we TRIED to cancel on OPEN TABLE but it seems that you MUST CALL THE RESTAURANT to cancel. Zucchero was NOT ANSWERING the phone therefore we could not cancel on Open Table. We went to another restaurant. Afterwards we stopped back to rectify our booking on on Open Table and the young lady just dismissed me. OPEN TABLE DOES NOT ALLOW NO STARS TO BE ABLE TO WRITE A REVIEW

    This restaurant would not honor my reservation. They said they were booked even though Opentable showed availability. The hostess was rude when my party of 8 showed up. She said the restaurant called but they didn’t leave a message so we had no way of knowing. I would never return here

    We enjoy this restaurant in the summer when we can sit outside but on Friday evening we sat inside and the noise was deafening. The salad was wilted, the gnocchi was mediocre but my branzino was ok—nothing special. Service was rushed and impersonal.

    The food wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great. With all the great Italian places in the area I wouldn’t feel the need to go back. But the service was pretty bad which was really what made it unenjoyable. Was rarely checked on, and our waitress ended her shift and left without anyone telling us.

    Unfortunately management takes reservations knowing tables will not be available ... Waited 45 minutes for table for 4. No bar to wait at, nowhere to stand and not be in the way... not offered a drink while we waited. Neighbourhood restaurant trying to feed everyone at the same time. Many complainers tonight. Our waitress was excellent.

    Perfect for an inexpensive delicious lunch. We are cousins who get together from time to time. The staff left us alone after the meal to chat. They were very professional. I’ve been here many times and highly recommend it.
