Service was slow to get into its groove (long wait for drinks order, menus not dropped for a long time, had to flag down server to place order), but once that was ironed out, the meal (and subsequent service) was delightful. A place for true gastronomes, as the flavor:texture combinations were subtle and sophisticated.
At a high end restaurant the service should be impeccable. We were asked to order 3 times before the cocktail was served, in a brief period of time. They had a difficult time to credit a gift certificate to the bill. The food presentation, taste, quality were all superb. The blemish was in service.
Cozy, Romantic, culinary experience
Highly creative cuisine with service to match. Great wine pairing and desserts are superb. Highly recommended and good value.
Disappointed 4 of us were seated at a bar table despite a reservation. Expected 4 person table like the ones in the event space part of the restaurant, facing each other. Bar seating for 2 is great but for 4 it is tricky.
The food and service were amazing.
The tasting menu at lunch was perfect--one of the best meals I have ever had. I loved the seasonal treatment of ingredients such as wild mushrooms and truffles, and the wine pairings were just right (porcini flan with Dungeness crab paired with a Puligny Montrachet, mmm). I really enjoyed watching the activity in the kitchen: observing the unhurried creation of such lovely dishes was a delight.
One of the most amazing culinary experiences we’ve ever had. We picked it for our 25th anniversary dinner and couldn’t be more happy with the choice. Between the food and the attentiveness of the staff, we were sorry that we had to leave. The ambiance truly feels like a very large home/kitchen, with your European aunts, uncles and cousins taking every care of you.
We still can’t get over the Porchini Flan course.
Can’t wait to go back.
Hint: The pre-show dinner seating is the bargain of the year.
I've been here many times, love the late lunch option and we dined again at 3pm. the food and service are outstanding and it is such an impressive elegant lunch.
It never disappoints!
David Boukey Never ceases to blow us away with his wonderful food. Bouley at home gives you a more intimate experience with the actual chefs making your meal in front of you.
Amazing. When you have 3 hours for an incredible ex
Bouley at Home is the best restaurant in Manhattan. Don’t bother with Daniel, Eleven Madison, Le Bernadin, Le Coucou, Jean Georges, Del Posto, etc. Bouley at Home is better, at less than half the price!!!
And I am not kidding, when it comes to gourmet dining.
I am huge fan of Bouley and it is my go to place for any celebration. I have been at all the various incarnations of Bouley. During the summer the lunch price was raised a bit and it said that the tip is now included. I paid the bill, did not leave a tip and right before leaving said something about the tip line. I was told that today(Monday 10/29) they stopped the practice. Nothing was said on the menu or check about the change. I was upset that I shortchanged the excellent service. Also, I always look forward to the outstanding bread and many types of bread. this visit had a few pieces of bread and when I asked for the gluten free was told it was no problem but when I got the bread it had been toasted as it was obliviously not fresh.
It is a shame when your favorite restaurant is good, but no longer great. It is also now very, very expensive.
That said, the service and food is still top notch!
A wonderful evening!
It’s Five Star “Value for the money” but only for the $75 Indian Summer tasting menu. That was an incredible bargain. If that’s not available the next time we go, we’ll do a la carte.
I had been to the original Bouley on Duane St. two times with my Mom. I returned to NYC with a dear friend and a point of making a reservation at new restaurant. Met and exceeded every expectation. A delightful experience. Food was exquisite. Ambiance was charming. Service was excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed champagne and wine pairings. ❤️❤️❤️
One of the best restaurant in NYC. Don't waste your time at Daniel, Le Bernadin, Per Se or Le Coucou. Bouley at Home is better!!!
I consider myself a picky eater, so to say that I enjoyed eating everything is saying a lot! The customer service was fantastic. Benjamin was attentive and was spot on with his descriptions of the food. It was my favorite restaurant of my trip! I will recommend it to all of my friends and family and will without a doubt visit again during my next trip to NYC! Side note, it was an event - 4 hours for lunch.
Been going to Bouley for years. The food is always fabulous but never heavy. Great pairings of vegetables and sauces. The porcini flan is my favorite as well as the Malibu sea urchin .
It was a three hour lunch
Thoroughly disappointed. Nothing like the original Bouley on Duane St. For $750, there should have been much better service, ambiance and more food. They were even chintzy with the bread! They balked when we asked for two pieces of the same kind, and then didn't include extra in our to go bag when they said they would. The entire set up should be explained in detail on the website, including menu. All of this was only made worse by the clearly much nicer private party in the adjoining room, where people seemed to be served in a formal restaurant setting, rather than being expected to fetch their own silverware from a drawer. Awful all around. Biggest waste of money. Never again.
The quality of the food and service was exceptional as usual -
This restaurant is nothing less than magnificent. The food is beautifully presented, every morsel is delicious and the atmosphere is tranquil. This is for people who really appreciate fine dining and care about the quality of the food they eat. I recommend it highly.
I love this restaurant this is my second time eating at burley. Food and the service is excellent.
Bouley (in exile) remains one of NYC's finest restaurants.
This was our second visit to Bouley at Home. It is as stunningly good as all the Bouley restaurants before it, perhaps even more so. The lunch is a great bargain -- inventive, light, and intensely satisfying. A special mention of the music is warranted -- good jazz on an incredible music system. As ever, Bouley is for grown-ups who love great food, beautifully served in a comfortably elegant location. Overall, it's as close as one gets to flawless.
One of the best restaurants in NYC . A real NYC Gem. An awesome experience and service
Good but the dessert
Exceptional!! Will go back any time we’re in NY
Amazing pre-concert dinner. The food on the prix fixe was sublime - beautifully prepared. The first courses - eggplant terrine, mushrooms were amazing as was the innovative chocolates. My daughter loved the breads. We had delicious mezcal cocktails. Sitting at the bar, we were able to see the preparations in front of us as well as on screens which started really interesting conversations. Highly recommend
Fabulous, the best of Bouley and the concept is interesting and exciting.
Not only was the tasting menu spectacular, our server was fantastic. He was funny and knowledgeable. We had a great night!
Came for lunch with my husband, and had the tasting menu at $75 for 5 courses. Was a fan of the original Bouley in TriBeCa and happy to see a new reincarnation!
Absolutely incredible food, wonderfully rich flavors and classic. The service is very attentive. Real pleasure, would highly recommend!
We had wonderful birthday celebration. The staff was very attentive and each course in the tasting menu was a tasty experience.
Fantastic restaurant. Wonderful to see they moved some of the furniture from the now closed TriBeCa restaurant. Makes it feel homey and familiar. The service was impeccable. And the food beyond delicious
This place never disappoints. The food is absolutely inventive, outstanding and not at all weird! The quality of the food is better than almost any other place . The seasoning is so unusual and wonderful.
Food was great. We did lunch and it was a five course meal for $75. Totally a great deal for the quality of food you get. Service was impeccable.
Loved the food, feeling, service and experience. Went to Boulod kitchen and David Boulod was there same night!
Will go to home next time
It's very highly quality restaurant and reasonable price.
Service is very nice and food is awesome too.
Sit at the counter and watch in awe as a single chef effortlessly churns out plate after plate of world class cuisine using pretty much the same equipment you have at home. The quail eggs with aged Compte "cloud" and black truffles paired with the steak tartare make for an amazing "steak & eggs" that will blow your socks off, not to be missed.
Not the most exotic or exciting dishes, but super fresh and high quality ingredients, expertly prepared before your eyes, with exceptional friendly service in a unique laid back setting, paired with a phenomenal wine list.
It isn't cheap, and it takes a few hours to get through a full meal, but it's not just a meal, it's an event.
Great value lunch
