Stroubes Seafood and Steak
We have dined here several times. The food is really good, although one of our sides arrived not warm enough. The service was not up to par. The server was not attentive. I ordered a glass of wine well before the food came and it arrived when I had finished my meal. This is a very upscale expensive restaurant and I expect more than what we got.
I took my friend there for his birthday. The staff were extremely nice and they really went out of there way to make him feel special. They even brought him a complimentary chocolate cake and that wasn't there usually complimentary item. I thought that was extremely special.
Stroube's never disappoints! The steak was cooked to perfection, and they have the best bleu cheese wedge salad in town. The sautéed sweet onions and bacon jam on top take it to the next level. Service was attentive, knowledgable and friendly.

Really enjoyed Stroubes. Food was great, our service was perfect and the atmosphere was really nice and fun. Good selection of items on the menu and although the wine list wasn’t extensive, they have good choices at reasonable prices. Our server, Vadim, was fantastic and a pleasure to meet. We will definitely visit next time we are in Baton Rouge.
Our server was attentive to our needs from the start. He made recommendations for us and even steered us away from some choices based on our questions. The filets were done to order and mine was like butter. I read other posts stating that the food was cold and service was slow, but we did not experience any issues.
I did not give the food 5 stars only because I’ve had better filets at other restaurants. That said, their filet was worth the $38.

My first meal at Stroubes was Sunday before a performance at the Manship. A friend and enjoyed a couple of appetizers, the lamb lollipops and the duck spring rolls. The lamb was just perfect! I found the by the glass wine selections to be very good (Migration, The Prisoner, for example). Our server, Cullen, was very attentive - thanks! Can't say enough about the creme brulee - just wonderful. The restaurant was nearly full by the time we left, but it was still quiet enough that we could enjoy a conversation. Overall, a very good dining experience.
Blinking sign outside was very annoying. Get some dark shades
The steak was disappointing especially the filet mignon. Not worth the price.
We had the Pork Belly Du Jour and the Crawfish Signets for appetizers. The Crawfish was good but the Pork Belly was excellent. The Blue Cheese Wedge and Corn, Crab and Brie Bisque were very good. Steaks and toppings were delicious and cooked as ordered. Service was very good.
Our server was outgoing, attentive to our needs, and well versed in nenu details.
The menu had something for everyone in our party and the food was prepared and presented nicely. The only issue we had was our entrees weren't delivered to us at the same time, which was awkward, but overall a good experience.

A good meal, food was good, service was a little scattered, but the waiter was good.
Wine list was mediocre, two bottles we ordered they were out of. Settled on a suggestion that was wasn't in par with what we had ordered, but it was good. A plus was that he decanted the $125 bottle, which a lot of places won't do. Good for them.
All in all, it being local was a plus. The waiter was very professional and friendly. I think most of it was they seated like 3 tables all within about 10 minutes of each of us, so he was covered up.
The filets were cooked perfectly, presentation was very nice. Mushrooms are enough to share and priced considerably lower than other fine dining establishments. The Crawfish Risotto was tasty, but a little overcooked and mushy. The asparagus was good, but they need to teach the prep to remove the inedible part of the stalk, I'm pretty sure if my 14 year can do it, they can. But very nice flavor.
Oh, one thing, opt for the bottled water, their tap tastes like it came right out of the river.
This wasn't our first time there, nor will it be our last. A very nice Baton Rouge atmosphere.

Drinks at bar were good. Table service was slow. Filet was ridiculous... looked like something from a Western Sizzlin commercial. Would not return.
The food was OK. I had the redfish and it was just OK. The grits and Brussels sprouts were delicious. I highly recommend the House Salad. All fresh ingredients with a light vinaigrette. Also the grapefruit gimlet is PERFECT!!

We were celebrating our anniversary and they made the evening special for us. We had a booth so it was quite intimate. The fish was cooked to perfection and the wine list was very nice. Will go back again soon.
It was our anniversary and we chose this restaurant per friends suggestion. Our server didn’t come greet us for 15-20 mins. We never received water. We had to ask for water at the end of our meal. We were never asked about having dessert. We had to ask for a wine menu. The food was good but overall experience was poor.

This experience was outstanding! Our server Alexandra made it even better. In addition to an amazing meal, the people always make a difference. She made sure we got the right food as ordered and helped us get answers to questions regarding ingredients.
The lunch meal and the service was exceptional.
As always, good service, great food, and great drinks! Had a bunch of appetizers (try the crayfish beignets and the Mac & cheese). My friend had a steak. Everything was truly just perfect.
If you are looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion, I’d recommend Stroubes. Delicious food options from Lamb Chops, gnocchi, and scallops. Haven’t had anything that wans’t very tasty. Be ready to spend a lot.
For an upscale Baton Rouge restaurant, the food was just “okay”. The Gouda grits, in particular, were inedible. That being said, the service was actually very good.
I was very fit with the service. My mother asked for a tea and didn’t like it and then asked for a coke which should have been an even swap but he charged for both!!! I was very disappointed. It’s not about all that. Like really??

My husband and I dined here for our anniversary. We have eaten here 2 other times and had great food and service which is why we chose to return. Everyone we ordered was delicious and our server, Alexandra, was attentive and amazing. We will be back!
Arrived at five . It was raining and the place was not busy. We ordered drinks. I ordered Long Island ice tea. It was very good. Wife had a Juan Collins. She thought it was different, but good. Started with crawfish beignets. They were wonderful. I tried the duck egg rolls. Good but not great. My wife ordered the fried red fish special. It was large, good and covered with crab meat. Took some home. I ate the boneless duck breast. Seasoned and cooked perfect. We were both full and ordered no dessert.
Oh, I forgot the wonderful garlic bread, served at the beginning. I love garlic and the bread had plenty. They also had a great wine selection and we tried a couple.
To make the night complete , we were taken care of by a very knowledgeable and attentive server , Daniel.
We will be making a return trip. It had been quite some time between visits. It was a pleasant surprise to find a new menu and great service.
