Forage is a farm to table neighborhood bistro in Cambridge right off of Harvard Square. Through partnerships with local farmers, fishermen, and foragers, ​we offer a local, seasonal menu served in a casual setting.

    The service, staff, and atmosphere at Forage were wonderful - we highly recommend them and had a great experience eating there. We went for the Southern Pines Supper Club and cannot praise the food of Chef Bullock enough - it was innovative, delicious, and told a story. Kudos to Forage for hosting this pop-up!

    The food tastes and ingredients are unlike any you will find elsewhere. We had a tasting menu, and only one small course was just ok. The rest were big hits. I had the wine pairing and wow were the pairings perfect for each course.

    The service & food were excellent! We really appreciated that Forage isn't as loud as some popular places (it still has a lively vibe, just not so loud you can't hear the people at your table).

    The name Forage is apparently literal, you will see a lot of weeds, flowers, and leaves featured in the dishes and I could not stomach it. It seems like no salt or seasoning is used at all in the dishes. I can tell they're trying very hard to do something different but I would not eat here again even if I was paid to.

    Forage is not vegetarian, but as the name suggests it is veggie-oriented. This was just fine with my guest and me, although it did limit choices animal somewhat. Preparations were simple and very good, if not anything to knock your socks off. Service was very good throughout, understated and pleasant. The tables are quite close together and as the restaurant filled, this became less than ideal, though not terrible. I could have done without the canned music.

    We had a great experience with the food, drink, and service at Forage. We ordered four small Plates to share. Except for one that didn't work for my own taste, they were generally excellent and had rich flavors. the service was ever-attentive but not intrusive. I enjoyed my cocktail (all the pennies), it's subtle and complex, just right. The tables are set close to one another and the indoor space is small, but because the restaurant was quite empty that evening, it was fairly quiet and conducive to intimate conversation. If we had more time we would have lingered a bit longer. Will come back.

    First time there and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Staff was great and food terrific. Great wine list of varietals and producers that you do not see often - I really appreciate the effort that goes into curating a list like that.

    The food was just phenomenal, creative, daring, delicious. Our server was fantastic. Took extra time to help with choices and she was very knowledgeable. I didn't like my first glass of wine and they went the extra mile to find something suitable.

    Went for my mum’s birthday and the servers were quick informative and very polite. My father noticed how extra nice they were and praised them and my pop is a grump so high praise!! Food was excellent and diverse. Would come again~

    My FAVORITE restaurant - ever This restaurant is a treasure. Teague and others understand food at the most creative, deep, healthy, ecological level. There is a real respect for vegetables - and a talent for finding - um, foraging - extraordinary rare gems - and serving them at the peak of their health and taste. The entire experience at Forage is transcendent. Everything is scrumptious. And there are flavors, and inside flavors, and after-flavors. And a respect for texture and color and a creative and brilliant combination of flavors, taste, texture, beauty. And the wines! And the drinks! Everything is heavenly. And interesting. And transcendent. My favorite restaurant ever.

    Always outstanding. Extremely creative menu, extremely tasty and original preparations. Lovely relaxed setting, small restaurant (plus pleasant outdoor tables). Superb service. Expensive but worth it.

    Forage is an absolute neighborhood gem - the food is excellent (and always changing, so there are new, interesting things to try), the staff is super nice and knowledgeable about their locally sourced ingredients and drinks. We highly recommend the tasting menus (and appreciate that there is a vegan one)!

    Had the Meatless Monday tasting menu and it was excellent. First time I have ever done a full multi course vegetarian meal and it was delicious! Also the cocktails were wonderful. Loved the quiet intimate space. Just be prepared to either walk or get a drop off ride or walk a fair distance from available parking.

    Lovely staff. Very quiet understated restaurant in a residential neighborhood. The food menu is small (yay!) And very focused. Pickling is front and center for the chef and it shows. We ordered the Pickles and Ferment for apps and it was brilliant. For entrees we had the lentil and olive bread and the Brined Cabbage. Both were mind blowing. The composition, balance and flavors were on point. Wine menu is on point. I got the Grenach Noir and went very well with the food. Cocktails and dessert were good as well and rounded the meal out nicely. Lovely way to spend two hours to be honest.

    We went for a birthday dinner. The service is excellent—not rushed, not slow—and our party was attended to by at least 4 different servers. Cocktails were outstanding, including one well-flavored Manhattan “ mocktail.” Two of our three main courses were definitely 5-star. The short rib with polenta and spinach was hearty and melt in your mouth tender. The star entree was the trout with tangy mayonnaise, pickles, and a dropped biscuit. The combination of flavors was ambrosial. If it’s still on the menu, try it. Our third entree is the reason for the four stars. A vegetarian delicata squash with a creamy bean stew was pedestrian. It was bland, and some of the beans seemed undercooked. For $32, this dish was not worth the price. I wish I had ordered the cabbage plank option. Back to five stars for dessert: an intriguing and savory sherbet flavored with white fir (!), a tawny port and a sugar cake. We ordered decaf which was served in its own pot and was delicious. Decaf is often a flavorless afterthought. Not this one. It was rich and nutty, providing the perfect last taste of the evening. Ambiance is cozy and welcoming.

    We came on a night where they had a special menu organized around the theme of "Bubbles & Brine". The menu was a set of small to medium sized seafood dishes, plus a set of sparkling wines, by the glass. Everything we tried was interesting and tasty, including the mussel quiche, broiled shrimp, steamed mussels with shrimp kimchi, rockefeller oysters with spinach sauce, etc. We tried four of the sparkling wines, and enjoyed them all. The service was excellent, and they even brought us a surprise ice cream dessert in honor of the anniversary we were celebrating.
