Tag is my favorite restaurant that I am so sorry to see close! But I will be visiting Troy's other restaurants very soon. Always such a great atmosphere and the best food and drinks. And always plenty for a GF person like myself to choose from :)

We were genuinely blown away by the friendliness of every employee we interacted with. From the hostess getting us seated early and making us feel so welcome, to the waiter recommending amazing food and just being all around fun to interact with, we couldn’t recommend this place more. 5/5.

Our dinner at TAG was very memorable, from the exquisite, beautifully prepared and exceptionally delicious food to the welcoming, attentive, and accommodating service. Having a seat watching all the Larimer Street life was an added bonus. We hope Larimer Street can remain closed to traffic, as it's a wonderful environment and a great location for this stellar restaurant.

The restaurant week menu had comically small portions for $45. The restaurant itself and service was from the late 90’s. The whole place felt utterly dated and neglected. 80’s hard rock blasted from the kitchen. This is kind of an embarrassment to some of the other Troy Guard restaurants I’ve visited. I laughed my way through the experience because the only other option was to cry.

TAG has really gone downhill. We used to be regulars, but Troy Guard seems to have given up on his flagship restaurant. We decided to give it another try during restaurant week. The place was nearly empty last Thursday night except for one very drunk, very loud party of 8 people. We ordered a combination of The Restaurant Week special and menu items. The menu items were bland. The Restaurant Week portions were absurdly small, not much mote than a spoonful of food for each course. They were delicious but gone in one or two bites. We left disappointed and hungry.

Went there for Restaurant Week and the place was about half full. The Host/Mgr was very prompt in greeting me. Server took a while to get to me but was very polite and on top of things throughout the meal for the most part. Right off the bat when I ordered iced tea and they stated they have NO iced tea, I knew this was going to be a bit difficult dinner. Who doesn't have an iced tea for those of us diabetics. So I had to settle for diet coke out of a can (argh). I'm not a fan of the amuse bouche they had advertised so they substituted a crab mix version and that was very nice. The appetizer round I had was the pork belly. A great concept but my pork needed a to be done just a bit more to bring out the flavor better. My entree was amazing; I had the scallops with an cheesy orzo (in lieu of the corn chowder advertised). The flavor, the prep and the presentation were all a fantastic hit. The dessert was a very small Kaffier lime creme brûlée, coconut brittle the kumquats were the sour part (hmm), and the coconut brittle seemed to be the life of that party. Not what I would have expected. Overall the entree was the only reason to return to try this spot again but not for the big $.

Went to dinner at Tag for restaurant week. The menu was creative and the food was very good. The portions, particularly the app and the dessert, were smaller than I remember during previous restaurant weeks which was a little disappointing.

TAG remains king in downtown Denver. We hadn't been in a long time and went during Restaurant Week (10 restaurants in 10 nights-- try doing THAT!) to celebrate all the great restaurants that made it through the dreadful 2020. AMAZING! Every bite better than the one before. Even got to see our old waiter friend, Arthur! Only one improvement could have been made... a decent by-the-glass Chardonnay for those of us who still like the old school Chards. We didn't all jump on the Sav Blanc train. Oak is our friend : ) Other than that, it was perfect. We'll remember to put it back into the rotation!

Overall it was an amazing experience. The staff and food were fantastic. We were however extremely disappointed with the portion sizes... not a good value for $50 a per person

Went for restaurant week, sat outside. The food was amazing! Had the burrata salad, scallops and creme brûlée. Delish! Sitting outside on larimer without cars was a great atmosphere. Service exceptional

Four of us dined on a Saturday night. Great service, wonderful cocktails and wine. We shared small plates Loved the bruschetta. Miso soup was awful, gnocchi was bland, ahi tacos terrific, pot stickers neutral. Heard such great things, we were disappointed. Won’t try again, too many good options in Denver.

From the moment we stepped onto their outdoor dining area we felt like we were home. Home after a long and strange trip of the last 12 months. We sat at the 2 top next to the front window overlooking Larimer Street. It was fabulous, and so was Arthur. Arthur is a seasoned professional and his energy and attention to detail was exquisite. The food...as always. As it’s been since opening remains over the top. But. I must say the miso black cod might be the best he’s ever done/I’ve ever enjoyed. Ever. Bravo Troy. To you and your empire.
