Excellent food unfortunately they weren’t able to give us a more private table while there were a lot of available tables. There was just one server which is understandable she needed us to stay close where she could see us.
The service and food were very good. The bar cocktails were subpar. Wouldn't recommend anything but beer or wine. I'd go back.
The ambiance was cozy and relaxing. You can easily carry on a conversation without having to talk loudly over a lot of noise. Service was excellent and the pecan encrusted grouper was delicious. Nice variety on the menu and the peanut butter chocolate pie for dessert was fabulous.
Love this place.
We eat here two or three times a month. Somethings more.
I have eaten here at least twice a month for the last two years and it’s still as good as day one!
Caio Bella is one of our favorites; we had a cozy booth to celebrate my mom’s birthday and Lary took such good care of us. Salads crisp and fresh and entrees all tasty, hot and very homemade.
Good food and nice and quiet . Enjoyed the atmosphere and it was nice to visit because of the quiet.
We eat here at least twice a month sometimes more. The food is consistently good and the service is always GREAT.
We will be back.
My book club girls and I celebrated a birthday there and enjoyed a delicious meal. Our server mentioned she was new and she did a great job. She added to our experience. I will definitely be back.
Wonderful dinner! We happened upon Ciao Bella on a Thursday night. We were so pleased with the restaurant. It was crowded-energetic. Great menu. My husband had the lasagna and I had the chopped salad with salmon. Our entrees were perfectly prepared and generously portioned. My Sangiovese was generously poured and delicious. We look forward to returning.
Unfortunately, the 5 of us were seated at a round table surrounded on 3 sides by other diners. The noise level was so bad, we could barely hear each other. We agreed that our salads were outstanding, but the entrees were disappointing because of insufficient spices and salt. My own piccata was dull enough that I used lemon to brighten it and make it edible. Our group has dined there a number of times and enjoyed the food in the past. We hope this occasion was not a sign of the rstaurant's decline.
Ciao Bella consistently delivers a great dining experience. There is a wide variety of menu items but they consistently deliver a great product with really good service. Always a treat to go to Ciao Bella.
Good Italian at reasonable prices. Come early or make a reservation - you'll be glad you did.
The service at ciao Bella was very good. I had the chicken Marsala which was ok but really nothing to rave about. My husband had the lasagna which was very good. The couple we went with ordered chicken picatta and spaghetti and sausage. Both seemed to enjoy their food. Portions were very generous. We will definitely go again.
Ciao Bella always delivers good food. The waitress we had was nice but didn’t quite seem on top of things which is rare for CB. Her food descriptions weren’t very good and she forgot to bring items to the table when asked. Overall, I would definitely return.
A group of 6 friends had a great time at Ciao Bella recently. The service was excellent and everyone enjoyed their dinner. I had strip steak with a wine sauce and it was really good.
It was my birthday and we had a large group of 8 and you all were accommodating. Thank you
Good food and good Ambience. It was nice quiet dinner and good service and great food
I love this place but was very disappointed after getting reservation with Opentable and still had to wait almost 30 minutes for a table. Since it was a late reservation, it made it even worse. I'll try to make an earlier reservation in the future and perhaps I'll have less of a wait.
My only complaint was the server we had was swamped, so took a little longer to get our food and drink and then it was also a little on the loud side as there was a large table next to us. Other than that, the food was great and we enjoyed it very much!
Great meal and it was fast.
Always enjoy dining st Ciao Bella! A gem in East Memphis.
Great food, great service, locally owned, great ambiance. A go to place when a special evening or a relaxing evening in the bar is desired.
Love this place. Never disappointed . The staff is always great and the food is wonderful
Good and service was great!! The server had a great alternative drink idea since they didn't have my wine of choice. Dessert was lick your bowl clean good!
Great Italian restaurant, a must “Go to Place” in Memphis, Tn!!
Always a great meal and ambiance. Looking forward to the next time.
My husband and I shared. Greek salad, then ordered veal picatta and cannelloni and shared that. Delicious!
I had a group of 5, we were in the middle of the restaurant and I felt that we were too loud for those dining around us. But it was still great!
Food quality was way off! Salmon was over cooled, despite ordering it medium. Our smoked salmon bruschetta was so bland and dry, we sent it back. It was taken care of graciously by our wonderful server, Larry. She was the bright spot of the night!
Our waitress got our order wrong and never checked on us after we received our food. We had to flag down another waitress to tell her the order was incorrect (I ordered the spinach manicotti and was brought regular cheese manicotti). No one refilled our water glasses the entire time we were there. When the waitress finally showed up with the check, she had added another table’s order to our bill. She had a hard time understanding we did not order half of what was on our receipt! Then we had to wait for our bill to be corrected. There was no apology for getting our order wrong. It was a very bad experience, and the food was mediocre at best.
didn't know how to answer the "noise" question. the noise level was fine the atmosphere makes people talk soft. Didn't take in the bar but it looks a bit small for any substantial group. to you offer tapas?
Fried artichokes, white bean soup (best!), caprese, & Greek pizza were all awesome! Service was as good as a 5-star restaurant.
Staff was welcoming, helpful and informative-as usual. Has become go to spot for group of local and out of town friends. We’ve been to several five star gourmet restaurants and enjoyed them, but keep coming back here. Wide and interesting variety for varied food preferences.
Amazing drinks and delicious meal!
Food was great. The gnocchi was great.
Very good experience from the hostess stand and throughout the evening.
Very competent people from beginning to end.
The server ( Trevor?) was quite good and understood timing of courses since we had three to go through.
The kitchen seems to run efficiently by the way the food was well timed to the pace of our eating. We never had to wait long for any course.
The food was quite good.
We had chicken Marsala, Caesar salad, and the soup of the day. Regular baguette Bread is complementary.
Prices are normal for that quality of food and service.
It appears that they have a regular local clientele on Saturday nights that like to come. We were there about 6 pm and there was already a good amount of patrons there. The customers are somewhat casual but seem to have a quiet, low key sophistication as well.
Mind you, this is in a strip center but you forget that as soon as you enter. The noise level was mild and it was easy to enjoy conversation with your table.
Do try this place. We really like it.
Love the atmosphere and the quite. You can actually carry on a conversation without shouting. Love the food!
The were unable/unwilling to accommodate food allergies. They said their pasta had soy in it which indicates it is cheap dry pasta not the excellent pasta you would expect from a higher end Italian restaurant. We went elsewhere.
