The Depot Restaurant is a charming neighborhood restaurant located in a stone building just a block off the Plaza in Sonoma. Locals and visitors to the Wine Country enjoy Tuscan-inspired cuisine in spacious dining rooms, and on the terraces of the Italian garden and reflection pool. In addition to products made in-house, the Sonoma wine country offers an abundance of new artisanal products to enjoy. The wine list is heavily laden with local Sonoma wines as well as wines from Italy. Come join us for dinner...or just drop in for some small plates and a glass of wine! We had a delightful evening at The Depot Restaurant. The staff was so kind and accommodating, the food was delicious and the atmosphere perfect! We so enjoyed conversing with Susan, the manager, and we loved Sylvester, our waiter. Would love to return when we come back to Sonoma!

As old-timers, we could see that there had been an upgrade. We started with Calamari, which was crispy on lettuce, making it look like more. My fish was in parchment paper, which made it hard to eat. My wife had the Shrimp with pasta. As in Europe, the Shrimp was not shelled. The dinner was very good, but our entrees were hard to eat without getting our hands dirty.

Truly the best meal we have ever had in Sonoma. Service was warm, friendly, and efficient. Food was EXCELLENT. We ordered the pulled mozzarella appetizer, the tagliatelle, and the pork chop. Everything was so well prepared and the flavors balanced. We will definitely be coming back!

Originally picked "The Depot" since they had cioppino on their website menu. Come to find out they had replaced it with a fish dish. Website needs to be updated. Overall service was great & they were accommodating after the temperature in the patio got too cold.

Excellent food with perfectly executed gnocchi and a pork chop “to die for “. Unfortunately, it was spoiled by an excessively long wait between the starter and main coarse, otherwise it would have received 5 stars.

La comida fue simplemente espectacular: bien presentada, con sabores auténticos y porciones generosas. Lo que realmente marcó la diferencia fue el servicio. El personal no solo fue amable, sino que se tomó el tiempo de ayudarme a planear un pequeño detalle sorpresa al final de nuestra cena… ¡y salió perfecto! So glad the Depot reopened after Covid. A hidden gem with charm. Food quality is even better than with previous ownership and it was excellent before. Kudos to the chef and kitchen staff. Waiter Charles and his support team were great. Thank you for a great experience and my family will return again and again !

Delightful experience, so quaint and great service. Food was very good. Fish was a bit too salty for me to enjoy, but my husband loved it. And the desert was to die for!
