    First time visiting and I loved it! We tried many diffrent plates, from the avocado salad to the new york steak and lemon pasta, brownie dessert and sushi rolls. The food was absolutely amazing! Menu has a great variety of foods, and drinks to choose from. Our server Janet was so kind, attentive and welcoming! Looking forward to coming back soon!

    It was ok. Food was on the pricy side for what you got (but the portions were large if you like that). $150 for 2 sides of fried rice, an order of potstickers, and chicken satay with 2 drinks and a glass of wine. We had a reservation, checked in, and then they seemed to forget about us. Service was done by inexperienced staff with little mistakes here and there and then they kept calling us "love" which would be ok, but it was several of them (Jeesh.. for a Hawaiian theme place, they should have just called us "cuz, brah or sis").. All in all... we won't be back.

    Kind of really a joke to be honest. To make a reservation at 1:45 and at 2:30 still not be seated is incredible. We ate pizza next door and couldn’t have been better. What a poor excuse that “it’s Mother’s Day” yup every restaurant forward holiday is just how about you account for that and be professional. Overbooking while your nervous 12 year old staff runs around with there heads cut off. Have had great experiences at this restaurant out of state and kinda crazy to think when I first try it in the city of service they sucked worse then Dennys. Pathetic for sure. You should fire all of management

    It was Mother’s Day midday and even with a reservation we waited an additional 45 minutes after being told it would be 25-30 minutes. Our server was new to the restaurant but he was pleasant. Service was extremely slow, we were told the printer in the kitchen was down and our order had to be reconfirmed after waiting about 40 minutes after the appetizer was delivered and eaten. The entrees came out… not quite what was ordered but after the wait there was no way we were sending anything back to the kitchen. I will try again on a day that is not a dining holiday because I could see the effort and the food was tasty

    Had a reservation for 1:15pm. I confirmed the reservation the day before. Arrived on time and was told there will be a 30 minute wait for our table. After 40 minutes is waiting, we were told it would be another 20 minutes There were several empty tables. But after waiting a full hour past our reservation we were still not seated and left

    Extremely Disappointed – Won’t Be Returning We had a 12:00 PM reservation for Mother’s Day and weren’t seated until 1:15 PM. Once seated, we were given two menus—one for the Mother’s Day brunch and one à la carte. The brunch menu wasn’t appealing, so we opted for à la carte. After waiting 20 minutes for a server to greet us, we were told we couldn’t order from that menu, but the server would check. He returned 10 minutes later confirming we could order à la carte. We placed our food and drink orders at the same time. Drinks took 20 minutes to arrive—my Kona Big Wave was flat. We then waited over an hour for our food, and when it finally arrived, my steak was overcooked. Between the poor service, long wait times, and disappointing food, this experience was unacceptable. Definitely not coming back.

    They failed miserably at handling a Mother’s Day crowd. People with reservations had an hour wait … This place was overbooked and understaffed. Then when seated we were told that the Mothers Day menu wasn’t happening taking hours to get out of the kitchen. We will never be back. The only saving grace was the amazing server who was professional and calm when speaking with scores of unhappy customers.

    We’ve enjoyed Kona in the past, but they poorly planned for Mother’s Day with an overly priced menu. We had reservations for 11:30 and waiting another hour to get seated and then 20 minutes to get service. They kept saying the kitchen was backed up so left people standing in 90 degree temperatures outside with empty tables inside. No offer of water or shade. Should have at the least offered a discount. My elderly parents had a hard time standing in the sun all that time

    We went for Mother’s Day and we were told that the normal menu wasn’t available until after we sat down and that we had to order the $49 a person brunch provided. The food took over an hour and when it came out, it was cold. We didn’t want the food provided either but we felt stuck because everywhere else was going to be busy since it was Mother’s Day. We understand that the kitchen was backed up based on how busy it was, so we were very patient. The most frustrating part was being told we couldn’t order off the normal menu when we saw other people getting burgers and whatever else they wanted. We had a child with us too, who is on a gluten free diet because of an intolerance, and they were unable to accommodate for him. I had to walk through the parking lot to find a place who could make him food. We were very dissatisfied and upset and it ruined what was supposed to be a special Mother’s Day.
