   Jaley (sp?) was such a wonderful host for our afternoon tea!! The tea and accompaniments were perfect, scones being some of the best I've ever had. The food came out in courses and was presented so nicely! We each got our own pot of tea and Jaley checked in with us to make sure it was hot enough throughout our experience. The Palm Court (situated outside the Terrace Room) overlooks the beautiful entry into the Omni. There is so much history in this prominent hotel, and Jaley was giving us all the details and answering all of our questions. My mum, gram and I so enjoyed out afternoon tea here. We will def be coming again. The only thing we would request is that you offer it on a weekend day!! (currently only available Wed/Thurs afternoons) so that some of our family/friends are available to join us!

   Lovely ambience for a special get together of friends. We enjoyed our meals, conversation and service. Thank yo for being open for lunch. So many downtown restaurants are not. Really appreciate!

   We were billed $139 for two Queen's Tea. We were NOT served the third course which, according to your menu, includes "SWEETS". "Jalee" (server) only served the quarter size "sandwiches" and the scones along with two pots of tea. We have done high teas in the past at the Terrace and I never left hungry. There was always plenty of food- not this time! I was very disappointed and will not do it again. I left and went across the street to the Italian pizzeria. As for your question below, I would recommend the Terrace room to others for breakfast/lunch, but definitely not high tea. It should be noted that despite this disappointing experience, I did leave Jaylee a $20 tip.

   While the ambiance is beautiful and historic, the hospitality aspect was sorely lacking. First, I had made a reservation indicating that we were there in celebration of my husband’s birthday. There was no mention of that at all by the hostess or waitress. Second, and what should have been a greater indication of the experience to follow, was that we were not greeted at all for about 2 very long minutes while we stood awkwardly in front of the hostess. Finally, 30-ish seconds after I pointedly smiled at and said “good morning” to the hostess, we were greeted and seated in a corner of the large room which had plenty of open spots for the taking. The food itself was okay. Not terrible, but we have definitely had better elsewhere. The toaster didn’t appear to be operable either. Overall, service was lackluster. We will not be returning when we visit Pittsburgh in the future.

   Lovely, as always. It is our holiday tradition to have lunch here, and we keep coming back, I would have preferred to be farther from the door, but I didn’t express my preference, and our waiter was very good, so that was fine.

   High tea at Palm Court at Christmastime used to be lovely. The price skyrocketed and the quality of food and service nosedived! We've been coming for 20 years! What a disappointment!

    We love everything about the William Penn, including the Terrace Room. It was closed for dining for a while, so we were delighted to see it opened again. The ambience and food are special, but the service is outstanding.

    I had a reservation but was not treated like I did. Was not handed a menu. Service was poor. Breakfast buffet was fair. Hot chocolate was cold. Staff didn’t know how to cash out a gift card. Was not given a receipt. Was very disappointed by this iconic hotel. Lobby decor was the highlight.

    Was so happy to hear the high service was back…and so disappointed in what it turned out to be. Went with girlfriends to celebrate the holidays. $85 for tea plus a glass of champagne. Sandwiches were tiny & very dry, sweets were all chocolate (no fruit nor variety), and the scones seemed to be made at Giant Eagle. Plus, the dining room was empty. Just 4 of us sitting in the vast Terrace Room. It all felt pitiful…and hugely over-priced.

    Waited one hour for a very mediocre salad. Lunch used to be special at the Terrace Room. Waitstaff did the best he could but the wait combined with a below average meal - that was nearing $100 for soft drinks and salad(for two) means I won’t be returning.

    The service as always was excellent! Our table was ready when we arrived . The hostess and waiter were very pleasant and efficient. My friend and I ordered the chopped salad with chicken. They were lackluster! Tiny pieces of grilled chicken, bits of avocado and bits of blue cheese. It seemed as if every item was a leftover. Very disappointing. We ate them but wondered what was going on in the kitchen. We’ve never had a poor salad there before-I hope this was a one time thing.

    The quality of the food was excellent with a variety that catered to both the traditional Thanksgiving taste(s) and a more modern version. The choices, especially the sides, were varied and well prepared. Our only suggestion would have been to have more traditional desserts beside just the pumpkin pie (which was excellent). maybe something like a cranberry crumble or an apple pie or an apple/cranberry combination. We thoroughly enjoyed our Thanksgiving experience!

    This is the first time we've been to the Terrace Room for the Sunday brunch since before COVID. There are a few changes that didn't appeal -- the main one being the elimination of the omelet station. Also, the made-to-order pancakes are no longer offered. For the price charged, we feel that these options should continue to be offered as part of the brunch buffet experience. The service was fine and the ambience, as always, wonderful.

    Overall, we were pleased with our experience, especially the service at the Terrace Room. We were disappointed that the buffet provided on Father’s Day was not as extensive as the buffet that is served there on Mother’s Day.

    Service was very slow in spite of it being a brunch buffet. It took a long time to get a coke and we had to ask several times for ketchup. Our waiter told us if we wanted custom omelets or eggs cooked to order (included with the buffet) to let him know and he would put in an order. My husband and father were able to order omelets but then our waiter was off to the races before even looking my way to place an order. The buffet itself was standard breakfast fair, scrambled eggs, potatoes, Belgian sugar waffles (the true star of the experience!), bacon (also really good for buffet bacon), sausage, oatmeal, fruit, yogurt, and bread items with a regular kitchen toaster. The pastries were a joke, there was one small tray, I’ve had better pastries at the Hampton Inn. If you are a guest in the hotel and the buffet is part of your room rate, then it’s perfectly serviceable. If you’re coming in off the street, it’s definitely not worth the price at $27/person. The hotel lobby and terrace room are beautiful, but the buffet didn’t compare.

    The Terrace Room has a stunning atmosphere. But the food and service do not quite match it - not yet. The best hotel breakfast in Pennsylvania is the Hotel Hershey's Circular. I would challenge the Omni William Penn management to eat there, then improve accordingly. They have the right space with the Terrace Room. The food and service just need to level up.

    Extremely long wait for food!!! Our waitress was nice but forgetful. I asked for my salad dressing on the side, salad arrived with dressing dumped on it😞 we waited so long for our lunch I didn’t have time to send it back to be remade. Overall not the best experience 😞
