   I had a wonderful anniversary with my boyfriend last night at Northpond. Everything from the drinks, food, wine pairing was amazing. The staff was attentive and so nice. We left full but not stuffed it was a wonderful evening and we would deff go back and recommend it to anyone

   We celebrated our 13th Wedding Anniversary here. They called a couple of days ahead to confirm the reservation and asked about allergies and food restrictions, which I thought was very nice. I have a mild-moderate allergy to avocados and a moderate allergy to kiwis. They called back again to tell me they use a small amount of avocado oil, which was fine. They personalized our menu’s to take home and reminded us about the oil. The food and drinks were AMAZING! The atmosphere was lovely. Our sever was very friendly and took exceptional care of us. We will definitely dine here again. Everything was perfect!

   We had not been here in awhile, and we were intrigued by some of the amazing reviews it received. While the ambiance and service was great, the food was not the best seasonal menu we have had. It was very tasty, but some items simply did not seem to be Michelin Star quality. Overall, not completely sure it was worth the price. However, there were some dishes that were outstanding.

   One of my favorite vibes from Michelin restaurants that I've gone to! The restaurant also went above and beyond to help me celebrate my birthday. Would highly recommend this place!

   We were celebrating birthdays, mother's day, and graduation from medical school. The service and food were outstanding! The ambience was perfect for the occasion. Quiet enough for the intimate conversations as required.

   Our go to when in Chicago. Food and table service were excellent. We did however have slightly disappointing experience. When I called the restaurant for a reservation I was abruptly told ‘we are full booked, no walk ins and absolutely nothing available’. I did then book on opentable and when we arrived the restaurant was half empty and well before closing. In fact people were still arriving much on. Anyway, still fabulous time. Just a little put off.

    We had a lovely Sunday brunch. I noted on my reservation that we were celebrating my daughter's birthday and she got a special menu and a candle on her dessert. Our food was phenomenal. The arts and crafts style inside the building is beautiful. Service was top notch. We will return!!!

    I had Brunch with my daughter, son in law, granddaughter 15 months and their dog. We sat outside as the weather was gorgeous. I requested a high chair and that was provided promptly. Our server was excellent and our courses were nicely paced along with my granddaughters (children’s) meal that was expedited, keeping everyone happy. All of our meals were delicious! Looking forward to returning soon!

    North Pond has been consistently outstanding for two decades, and remains our favorite place to visit when we are in Chicago. The new chef has taken the quality and imagination up a notch. The lamb in particular on this visit was a revelation.

    First, we love the menu concept, four-course prix fixe but with multiple choices per course , so we could go pescatarian and omnivore at the same time. Every course was extraordinary, inventive and flavorful. The wine pairings were all well chosen and intriguing at times. The service was warm and friendly and still efficient and professional. And, last but hardly least, both the space and the location are beautiful. We have vowed to try to visit once a season as the menu changes.

    All was perfect: the bar, the reception, the atmosphere. But what really excelled was the quality of the food: fresh, well presented, with enticing new flavors, some unexpected, perfectly balanced. Also nice was the availability of exchanging some of the items with a corresponding vegetarian option. The service was very professional yet warm, helpful and friendly, not intimidating at all.

    Awesome experience! Great service , perfect atmosphere with the smooth jazz music. We had the best table of the restaurant direct next to an open window. The pork was so so but all the rest was fanstastic! I would definitely go again.

    It has been a while since we dined at North Pond. We went there to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and had a fabulous dinner. The restaurant has migrated to a chef's tasting type menu, a fixed price for 4 courses. Wine is extra. The pea shoot and crab leg soup was out of this world good. The gnocchi, falafel, and chocolate truffle were also excellent. My husband loved his Foie Ricotta, Octopus, Cod, and rhubarb chamomile dessert. Service was attentive but not intrusive, and I was pleased to see they were cognizant of my sensitivity to gluten. The chef also provided a couple of amuse-bouche treats, and a commemorative menu with our names printed on it. Although some diners might think the set meal price is pricey (it is), but it was a fabulous meal on a special evening for us. We will keep North Pond in mind for other special occasions.

    Great ambience and gracious staff. The menu was personalized for our date and loved the beautiful quaint location. Compared to other one starred restaurants, the food presentation was on par but food flavor was slightly lacking. We enjoyed the appetizers but the entree was not substantial enough.

    The chefs at North Pond never fail to impress with innovative, well-prepared, and well-presented dishes; however, the Service on this visit was well below what should be expected from a Michelin starred restaurant. After being seated at my table, I waited more than 20 minutes before anyone on the wait staff arrived to take my cocktail order -- and that was only after I flagged down a member of the Service team who had been filling water glasses. The worst thing, however, was that the main entrée was cold when it arrived at my table. Now, I know at one point, the food (which was quite well-prepared), had actually been hot from the chef's kitchen. The wait staff had simply not served the food while it was hot. I do understand that restaurants in this post-pandemic age are experiencing problems attracting and retaining employees. I only hope that North Pond will be able to acquire a staff that reflects the same high quality to which its chefs aspire. I will most likely return at some point in the future.

    Fabulous dishes. Each bite exciting. Attention by servers given to flatware needed for the dish. Each of us served our dishes simultaneously by multiple servers. All servers friendly and highly trained.
