   The food prices and menu items did not match what is listed on your web site. Ex: Price of the steak, no crab cakes. The service was just ok for the high prices. My husband got up to use the restroom. That was when the server decided to bring the check and ask about parking. I told him to come back. When he did, he did not ask about parking and he presented the bill w/o the itemized check. Offering the bill w/o presenting the itemized check is unprofessional. When we left the parking lot, we were told the charge was $65! We would not return, except to maybe sit outsidde for lunch.

   Service was excellent! $28 for an appetizer, you have got to be kidding. You are way over priced for average food. Spent $120 on lunch and you can’t validate $15 parking. I will never step foot in your restaurant again an will let anyone I know t go somewhere else to eat. Thank goodness you have the ocean for atmosphere because frankly you have nothing else!

   Fantastic spot near Escondido Falls trailhead. And what a joy to be at an outdoor table on sand with a sunny ocean view. Yes it is pricey but that’s what you’re paying for! Food is also very good (no complaints)!

   Brought a friend for his first time! It’s been a favorite destination for lunch for years - due to stormy weather, it was the least crowded that I’ve ever been! The whole experiences was as great as always! And still such a beautiful setting! You don’t need to wait for the perfect sunny day to enjoy!

    It's a great historic place with fresh seafood. The prices are a bit steep but there are a few items on the menu that are not over priced. Overall it was a super fun experience and we would go back.

    Great seating, inside with good view of the beach and ocean. Awesome photos on the walls of the many years of people, fish, beach and the Paradise Cove area. A little pricey but plenty of food delivered with many tastes catered to. Parking at 3 PM was no problem and a pier walk after the meal a great finish to our special visit. We have been there a number of times over the years and save this destination for special occasions.

    We took some good friends to catch up after not seeing each other for about 5 years - they loved it so much that they will be bringing their family with them in then near future. Great service, amazing menu offerings, and good quay food and presentation)!

    Picked up our friends from LAX…traffic was diverted because weather, LA, who knows. I called to tell them we’d be a few minutes late. No problem. Because of storms coming thru SoCal, the restaurant was quieter than it’s usual buzz, so we were given a window booth on the beach side…always my preference! Love the ambiance. Very Casual. Lots of old photos with the history of the area. Since it was so quiet, we were able to walk around and enjoy. We had tacos, and the Cuban sandwiches, with beer. The food was very generous. One could easily share. Unfortunately, Open Table reported to us today that we were a no show. I did inform them we had an OT reservation. I think there were so many tables open because of the weather, that the staff just didn’t bother entering that info.

    They seated my party of 4 at a table for 8 because the empty 4 top next to us because they didn’t have a waiter for that table. They said if we wanted to wait and eat off the lunch menu that started in 20 mins we could sit there. So we took the table for 8. Then they seated a couple at the table for 4 after 11am and served them breakfast after 11am.

    I was really excited because I had seen a video. When we arrived it was a mess there were two couples arguing for a table near water. Besides that our food wasn’t that great. Drinks were good but that’s pretty much it and it is pricey. This is more of a one time stop.

    The ambiance and beach view are amazing. The food was great, especially if you like seafood. The tropical drinks are amazing but a bit over-priced. You’re definitely paying more for the location and atmosphere.

    Although eating beachside is great, the price for the food is double what you would pay elsewhere. The service was not good. When we asked for something it was not delivered. The clam chowder was delivered a half hour after everyone else’s food. The pancakes were dry and hard and the shrimp quesadilla was nothing special. Be prepared for majorly expensive food, an additional surcharge for “health and safety” by Los Angeles, and a $45 parking fee reduced to $10 if you have a $30 or more food charge. Ambience is great but I am not sure overall price is worth it.

    Paradise Cove Beach Cafe is one of my absolutely favorite restaurants. Literally right on the sand in Malibu, the setting is incredibly beautiful. That would be enough, but the food is great (and large portions) and the service is also top notch. I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant.

    I’ve been here before years and years ago before I was even on open table and I really love being here for the beach and view but I’ve never been big in the food. The customer service here is great everyone is friendly and welcoming. Our greeter and host and waiter were all great! Service is 10 but I’m just here to rate the food a bit and quality of things. The food was pretty good but I did not like the rice. The rice tasted like tap water. That’s not their fault it’s prob the brand they used? But I would not order the trio taco w that rice again. Also the drink is overboard expensive, I get it that it’s in the pineapple alone is expensive given the drink in the pineapple shell but $20? I wouldn’t complain if it tasted good but I felt the pineapple mojito was really lacking something and I asked for it to not be strong and it was still strong. Also I find the reusable straws very disgusting. I did not put that thing in my mouth. I literally drank the drink from the pineapple. The straw was all broken and chipped and especially it being plastic it was very disgusting to me knowing it was used by millions of others before. Maybe use a much more presentable eco friendly straw? I’m all about eco friendly and doing good things for our Mother Earth but this cracked choppy cracked reusable straw was def a no in my book especially with what we are paying for. I think it’s best to come here for the view and chill and grab something light to relax, I wouldn’t count on coming to enjoy a full meal imo.
