Walk-ins' are taken starting at 11:30 am. Reservations accepted for dinner only, and walk-ins' accepted when possible.

Fifty eight years ago, Elaine and Pierre Boissiere established their eponymous restaurant at its current location, years before Carmel Plaza shopping center was built around it. They sought to offer the city of Carmel-by-the-Sea a relaxing and comforting venue modeled after a European chateau where tables are thoughtfully spaced and fresh flowers, fireplace, candles and soothing musical notes are integral part of the dining experience. The ambience sets the tone for French country food served with a great deal of care for detail and pastries baked daily on premises. It is a testament to their far sightedness that Patisserie Boissiere Restaurant continues to fulfill their vision to this day.

we book with Open table we go to the place before hand and here we were impressed. The owner was working hard with the lunch crowd and prepping staff for dinner service. When we arrived for dinner, we had the table we asked for, the food and drink were above par and the deserts were out of this world. so if your looking for good food, good service the Boissiere should be your go 2 !

The food was incredible!! I got the Coquille St Jacques and my partner got the beef bourguignon. They were both out of this world! Nice wine as well. Great waitress. We will definitely go back whenever we're in town again!

Always a truly exceptional experience and I’ve celebrated every milestone with my partner at this restaurant. I generally recommend anyone to please try this place and you will not want to go anywhere or else.

There is a reason we always return to Patisserie Boisserie. It is one of the few things in life that actually is as good as one remembers. The food is exquisite; the ambience so very warm and special, the service always good, the food presented with a smile and the owner is a gem. Visiting Carmel by the Sea always means - for us-a visit to Patisserie Boisserie . We highly recommend it for lunch and/or dinner.

Had an excellent meal! Loved the French Onion soup, the wedge salad, and probably the best pork chop I have ever had! Many wonderful desserts! Had the pear tart and chocolate mousse. They were delicious. The restaurant is very cozy and welcoming.

Excellent meal. Probably the best pork chop I’ve ever had: juicy, tender, cooked perfectly. My wife had the salmon in parchment paper and it was also excellent. French onion soup and Caesar salad starters were very good.

Our service hostess, Franchesa, highly professional and extremely friendly and courteous. She was outstanding and our dinner consisting of Lamb Shank and Short Rib was prepared nicely according to our preference and temperature hot. Looking forward to our next visit, again!
