   My wife and I bring our two basset hounds here every week for brunch! The patio is pet friendly and the staff and food here are amazing! We highly recommend trying Citiworks if you haven’t been here before…they are absolutely unique and everything we ever get is delicious and perfect!!

   We were 1 of the first tables seated. The wicker bench dipped in the middle making it very uncomfortable, and we heard the same from other guests. Our server didn’t approach tables in the order we were seated. You couldn’t find her if she wasn’t dropping off food. Our apps took maybe 30 mins to come out (to which the table next to us who were seated right after us didn’t even have their order taken yet) and it took another hour before our food came out. While diners all around us were done and gone. Food was great. Service was insanely terrible.

   Food was not well/thoughtfully prepared. Brussel sprouts way under cooked. Table and seats were dirty. Food on the floor that staff repeatedly stepped over. My husband actually picked it all up since it was so gross. Empty food plates not cleared when new ones brought. Margaritas were watery. Simply poor management. Such a great place but so disappointing to see this.

    Mothers days. All 4 meals were very mediocre compared to previous visits. One dish came out first then 10 minutes for the next 2 plates then nothing. The last plate was for one of the mothers. They fire got to put it in. She finally received her food after everyone else had finished. And it was less than mediocre at best. I’d give it failing grade for a special day where no one felt they were treated special. Manger never came by to apologize or to see how we were doing after this issue. They seem not to care anymore. No excuses as everyday is very busy so they should be prepared for holidays. Not sure if I’ll be back.

    Food was great but the service was not. Waitress seemed like we were an inconvenience. Dirty dishes not collected from starters when entrees were being eaten. Had to flag down the waitress for drink refills. I will go back because it may have just been the craziness of Mother’s Day.

    Went for Mother’s Day brunch which we made reservations for. When we checked in, the hostess gave my wife a rose for Mother’s Day. Very nice touch.  we had to wait about 10 minutes because we did request a table outside and we do understand they need to space out the tables for different servers so we didn’t mind at all. But when we sat down, it was between 10 and 15 minutes before anyone even approach our table to say hello. Our waiter was ambivalent at best about being there. You can always tell when someone is just doing a job and just does not want to be there or has no interest in service. I wish restaurants really instilled how important a friendly smile and eye contact when interacting with people. I don’t take this lightly as I was a waiter in college, and my son is a bartender, so I appreciate the hard work servers put in. But if you don’t want to be there, it’s probably best to find another job because it’s certainly apparent to customers. Bad attitudes just leaves a bad taste. We ordered the Jon Bun Jovi (cinnamon bun) as an appetizer, and it came out hard as a rock. We sent it back, thinking it was just that one, but the second one came out, and it was just as bad. Eggs were runny with the breakfasts that my wife and daughter ordered.  The toast was dry with no offer of any butter. The waiter came by very infrequently so by the time we could ask, we would’ve had to wait to eat for a while. My chimi hendrix was good - the highlight of the order. I like city works,but not again for brunch and may try other places for beers and apps. Not a very good experience for a very special day.

    The food was great only thing was the waitress was never around took about 45 minutes between from appetizers, 45 entree then 45 minutes to get dessert. 2 minutes to get check Never asked if we needed another drink we sure would have, and never asked if we wanted dessert she prepared the check prior to dessert then again after dessert. That sums it up. But food very good.

    I love this place! The staff is so polite, respectful and welcoming even when being overwhelmed with guests and numbers. Our waitress was absolutely wonderful! She was genuine, continued to check in with us and overall made it a wonderful night.

    My friend and I decided to try this place for KOP restaurant week. The drinks and desserts were amazing! However, even though we ordered different options from the menu, we both our appetizers and entrees to be excessively spicy. Our Service was great!

    I took my sales team here for about two hours to watch the beginning of March madness, there was no reference of any specials for drinks or food that we were told about. 6 of us had beers and 4 small picky, apps, 2x pretzel balls, 2x popcorn chicken and the bill was $260 prior to the tip- Def will not be back next year. I also inquired at least 12 times about how to get a hightop table reserved, up until last week I was told by a manager on site that they were unsure if they were doing reservations for March madness. They definitely seem to need a better scheduling plan. After being on site yesterday and seeing the crowd, they definitely offer packages of some sort because they were all booked up in the center area. It would be nice to know what options are available.

    My boyfriend and I dined here on a whim, on our way to the mall. - I made reservations from the car for 2:30pm, but we decided to walk in at 2pm to possibly get seated earlier. The restaurant was definitely busy, but not overflowing or uncomfortably crowded. The hostess told us we had to wait until 2:30 for our reservations because they were busy. - We understood and moved to the side where we saw people that came in before and after us get seated and served before we were sat at a table that had literally been open/ empty the whole time we were there (I literally stared at that table the whole time we were standing there waiting). I asked the hostess why were we being seated after 30 mins at a table that had been open the whole time we were there, and she gave some excuse version of “we’re busy and doing what we can”. Then to make it all worse, my coffee was nuke warm and the waitress was short with us and not very friendly/ nice. The food was good, but the mimosa wasn’t at all! - Definitely not coming back, and with so many options around, I would not recommend anyone wastes their time, money, or energy there.
